I own one. The automatic transmission version. What a fabulous, fun car! Lots of "grunt" on freeways and open roads, yet also allows for "refined" urban driving too! One falls more deeply in love with its precise handling with every passing day! Oh: and the 0-100kph is closer to 7.3 than 8 seconds! Only one criticism: the brake and accelerator pedal positions on the right hand drive model could be moved further right and away from the middle. Otherwise a sheer joy to drive !
I regularly get over 50mpg in my sport and whenever I can I use Shell V Power, least I've seen is 45mpg, all in all a great little car, did consider a Fiesta ST, but being in my 60s I found this to be much better.
Good balanced review, I'm ordering one in a few weeks time to use as my daily/occasional track day car, having driven one I agree with the gear change found myself tumbling around for 3rd gear a couple of times, I'm wondering if it might get better with miles but if not there is a gear linkage bush kit that Cusco offer that should solve this. I currently run a 1.2 Swift as my daily and got 54mpg on a 90 mile run the other day so 50mpg in the sport is really good. The main thing the Swift sport seams to get a bashing for is the price, it's more than the old one etc but it's a LOT more car and unfortunately there's a thing called inflation!, however Suzuki are currently offering it at £16999 until the end of the year and doing a bit of research on car discount websites i've found a couple that are quoting just under 15k, I will see if this is true in a couple of weeks but for now I've been offered one as low as 16k....absolute bargain?
Is this the best micro-hot-hatch you can get?
Much cheaper than a GTI and Fiesta ST. Great for budget!
yess!!
looks good to me! :3
It’s a budget car without he budget negatives!
Yes indeed!

Wicked! What a superb little thing. Suzuki have really changed their standards on the new Swift range.
It didn’t feel cheap and, really it felt beyond the price.. if that makes sense?
Nice review, just picked up a red 2019, love it!
Ah amazing! Thanks for comment, we loved the car and didn’t want to give it back.

It’s certainly a great car.

For £16k is absolutely value for money. I’d be interested to see how the linkage bushings change the feel.
Nice car 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇵🇭
It sure is!
prettttyyyy car and so cute, is it actually cheap to run? that economy is soooo good! :3
Doesn't bother me with the warning lights. Means you like your car.
Depends on the warning lights. 🤣
@TheAutoDad Correct. Had an e60 still nightmares about that bling sound accompanying another warning light. 😂
Oh god, yes. It’s engrained into you after a while. 🤣
These have been dinoed standard at 150bhp, in a car less than tonne is a recipe for good laughs 👌
