  • The plan for this log home has been for it to be massive, distinct and powerful. We are now watching the plan come to life log by log and the walls are gaining more height, shape, and character every. single. day. It's an amazing process, seeing all of my hard work turn into my dream house. We have now reached a new height in the build. The walls are high enough now that many things are becoming more difficult to do and we must adapt to continue to progress the build.

    Welcome to Traplines and Inlines
I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of RUclips friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
    Thank you for watching

What an absolute stinker it is to watch a young man with such a fire in his belly to get his log cabin built in record time and as meticulously as possible. Keeping your mind focussed on the size of the logs ,the tapering, the scribing; there's just so much mental gymnastics that goes hand in hand with the physical build as well. I'm a nearly 70 yr old Nan with 4 grkids, and I truly love them and their ambitions for their lives, they're 22, 21, 15 in my daughter & son in laws family and my deceased sons 21 yr old son . You're just like an addition to my family I think. You're far more motivated than all 4 of them but we're all different . Love your progess , love your answers. LOVE HOW COMMITTED YA ARE TO EVERYTHING YOU DO !! You're like reading a good book. Drinking a fine wine. Watching an enthralling movie. Listening to the voice of an old friend. Jesus’ man, we could fit two or three of the little cabins everyone else is building inside you log home. Great idea to do the question answer part and showing us how everything works around your site. Hey, everybody, just a reminder, Traplines and Inlines Birthday was a few days ago. Let’s all wish him a Happy Birthday and give him a Thumbs Up in appreciation for all the Deadly videos he has dedicated his time, hard (muscle building) work, and money for our viewing pleasure. I would like you to know how much I appreciate your filming, editing and narrating style. I don't like long-winded-empty-commentary so as soon as a vid starts like that, I'm outathere. I watch very few vids that are more than 30 min (15 min for me cause I watch everything in 2x speed). I love watching you and your vids, not only are they less than a hour (for me), they are very interesting, full of wonderful, important info and of things I am interested in. The bonus for me is you are a very intelligent, smart individual whose approach to life makes sense to me. You enunciate very clearly, not many people can be understood at 2x speed but most of their content doesn't need words anyway. It's not the words that are interesting, it is the visual. I don't need someone to tell me they are picking up a cup of coffee when that is what they are doing. Somehow people today thing that is necessary in their vids. What happened to the days, 100 yrs ago, when you learned by watching and paying attention to what you were being taught or just reading a book with the instructions, without someone reading it to you? You have no idea how much this Great-grandmother appreciates you and how you go about life. Thx for being you. I miss Sask. I was born and raised there. My kids were also born there, too.

This is tremendous undertaking that any single person, in his right mind, can do. I was thinking how is the kid going to heat the place in the winter. I thought of a centrally located. fireplace with three separate openings to feed your logs. It would be something you could use as heat or cook on as an. The way the old people used to do it. I see so many fireplaces with the chimney on the outside of the building and all that’s doing is heating part of the inside and most of the outside. The rocks and mortar that you put into the fireplace will retain heat for quite some time. You could even. have a smoker set up in the upper portion of the chimneys or one large chimney. I don’t know whether I was awake or sleeping when I thought of this. It’s a big undertaking but you’re young you can do it. Take care my young friend stay safe and may God bless you. 🇨🇦✌️

Walls are almost done, great job. Maybe get a small excavator and dig your footings and pour concrete soon? Just stub in pvc piping in the footing and you can run the utilites thru later. That way you can get a roof on sooner. Winter is coming fast!

Awesome build. Hoping you can revive your second gen and store your first gen for the summer months. Only way to keep 1st gens so nice. Have followed from the first cabin build and all the coyote trapping. All the best!!

You never fail to impress. Your house is coming along pretty nice. Won't be long and you'll be putting on your last round. Thinking back to the bush camp you've come a long ways since those early days. Can't wait until we start the roof.
