Press and hold the TRIG button for three seconds and the sound will automatically be retriggered. The tempo of this 4-to-the-foor beat can be adjusted using the TRIG button that will now serve as a tap tempo function. Set the desired tempo by tapping four times.
Haha, I like that rubix cube thing you did 😆 I have for some years now wondered what the point of the noise layer and the very high pitch range is good for in most kick drums. And I'm only just now really realising that the people at Vermona probably thought a bit foward, so that it would also be suited for Toms, snares and rim like sounds. I think the fm also might make sense in that context.
Hello-- thank you for the review! My Kick Lancet is labeled as "12 VAC" like yours. I've seen others labeled with "12 VDC". Can you tell me if the power adapter you are using outputs AC or DC power? I got mine used and it won't turn on and I'm not sure if I'm using the correct adapter. Thank you!
Hey, sorry for the late reply! Did you figure it out? I feel as if that could be a labeling mistake, because usually synths use DC wall adapters. You should definitely contact Vermona about it. They’ll know for sure.
Awesome Video, thank you!!!! If I use it with a midi keyboard, will pitch (tuning) transpose to the keys? (play different octaves with a keyboard midi controller) Play it like a synth module basically.
Nice review, like you putting down the completed rubies lol. As the noise is only trying to replicate the beater hitting the skin, I don't think the length thing is an issue.
Hi, do you think that setting a slow decay and play different notes on my midi keyboard will affect the tone of the kick lancet? I mean like doing a trap kick drum sound? thx, Nice Review!
I can't see how this can be used for live jams which is a pity as I like the look of it, it is sturdy, easy to use and makes a great sound. You cannot play a kick followed by a snare or tom tom or anything else so how can it be useful?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. This is a kick drum synth that you trigger with MIDI or CV. In a live setup you will have some kind of sequencer, which you will simply connect to the Kick Lancet and the rest of your synths. Then you play with the sequencer and twist the knobs on the Kick Lancet (or leave it at your favorite settings). You can also connect it to an electric drum set, so a drummer can play it with their kick drum pedal. It works just like any other synth :-)
Sorry...I was getting confused. It us a Kick drum, and thats it. I was thinking about how you switched from snare to clap to tom toms etc but of course those options are not there. It is solidly build, sounds fantastic but too expensive for what it does. If it had a clap and snare then I would have bought it. Just love the looks, build and size of it.
sounds cool and good quality, but volca kick looks to have so much more great and usefull features as a nice internal sequencer / the possibility to trigger different tones values via midi etc. and is more than 2x cheaper.. (ok it's more plastic build etc.. but.. you can get super great 808 trap type kick / sub bass with it and this review / demo do not show if it's possible to get the same with the Vermona. i guess the Kick Lancet might suit better for electro or techno and the Volca Kick is very suitable also for kind of hiphop / trap / jungle..
Um... This is an analog kick generator, MPCs are digital samplers. They're about as comparable as a bicycle and a forklift. You can trigger this with an MPC. Which some artists do, including the French house artist Sweely.

Good to know! Thank you =)
Incredible sound with a good pair of headphones
I never seen a human move so much like a muppet!Great drum machine also!
Very nice done. You should do more of this Videos, cause they are very structured and detailed ;)
Nice review man, I can definitely see this being very useful both in a live-setup or in the studio.
So the only solution to play it in different tones is to sample it and play it in a sampler :) thx for the prompt answer, cheers

Amazing sound!, thanks for share!
Thanks for the great video, I just bought one on ebay.
Awesome! Enjoy :)

Can you give me an example of What I should send in the Gate input? Like what kind of device?
An analog gate signal from a modular or analog synth usually. So a voltage going from 0V to 5V or 10V (nit sure, but it should be in the manual).
will this thing loop itself, in other words can you program a kick pattern in and jam with other instruments?
No, it does not have a built in sequencer. You need to play/trigger it externally through the various ports on the back.
good review.
How is the sine wave, on,y drm mrk 3 I found it wasn't clean enough to replicate 808s did do nice 909s though.
Hey there!
This parameters can be automatised by midi?
No, only by your hands.
@@tuesdaynightmachines Noted. Thank you. Anyway fat sound😎
Hi, do you think that setting a slow decay and play different notes on my midi keyboard will affect the tone of the kick lancet? I mean like doing a trap kick drum sound? thx, Nice Review!
No, it doesn't respond to pitch. You'd need to sample it for that.

Tell you what, you can have the Volca Kick and I'll have the Vermona Kick Lancet. :D
well better buy the full drum machine
+Mr “Leave Things” Cacique The DRM-1 gives you more sounds, but the Kick doesn't have the same parameters to adjust as on the Kick Lancet.
+The Tuesday Night Machines Is it only the 'balls' parameter that is the difference from the Mk3 ?
no. there´s FM as well.
Harry Schreiber The Mrk 3 has FM from what I remember although I havent used one for about 6-7 years ?
not the bassdrum though.. the drum 1 and 2 voices have fm. either way the bassdrum is a beast!
I like knobs.
Deludae
?????
+Freshcook Beats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Modular sinthetyzer ???
+Freshcook Beats Nope, this is a desktop drum module :D
Ah ok thank you man.
Yes, it is a synthesiser. One that creates kicks.
Meh...i will stick to my old MPC.
