I needed to parse data at work fast, but I forgot how to index match. This video has been the best so far. Very well explained and not too over the place! Simplicity is key! Thank you Teknisha!
Thanks very much, TEKNISHA. I find your tutorial very easy to follow and readily understandable. The pace is gentle to follow, the explanations succinct, and clarity superb.
My challenge had always been with not locking the Subject item (here, Math, I6) in $ as done to the rest of the cells/ranges in the functions.
Very well structured and presented tutorial. These kind of functions being somewhat intimidated by the sheer power of Excel intimidates the living daylights out of me, but this tutorial has stirred my creative juices!! WELL DONE !!
Thank you Sir!!!! Took me some time to understand but, unlike other videos your explanation is so simple and i can now use it anywhere without having to watch the video!
Omg, I love the way to explain the process. I have watched so many videos, your was clearly the best. Thank you
This helped me understand index matching much better than other guides I have tried using. Great tutorial!
Came from a 20min long video that had like a 5min intro, meanwhile my guy nailed the explanation in less than 5 minutes lol straight to the point, thanks a lot mate! 🙌
You are very Welcome!!
Thank you. I have been trying to do this for over an hour and this helped me in less than five minutes.
Finally!! I can undestand from this channel about Index-Match formula. Thanksss
Glad to hear that!
I reviewed multiple video of this function and your video is the best one so far!
Thanks, Mate. Well explained and straight to the problem!

Very clear explanation. The best video tutorial on index and match so far. Thank you!
Thankyou sir finally understood, since morning I was stressed about it, but your explanation was so simple to comprehend, that it became easy to understand, thankyou for uploading video.
This is brilliant. short and to the point
VERY GOOD EXPLANATION.
Was unable to crack it after 100s of attempts and dozens of videos. But with this video i was able to
For better results best is to make use of the exact table available in the video (Tutorial)
Thankyou Khan Moinul
Thanks for making it a short video. Well explained as well.
Thank you Teknisha. Very helpful and oriented instruction.
I am glad it is of use to you...
you could use 1 dimensitonal index match...=INDEX(D4:D13,MATCH(K4,C4:C13,0)) ....for math...no need to write match formula 2 times
Great... very objective and well explained
Fantastic! Easy to understand
Great Tutorial! Simple and easy to follow. Thanks!

If the order of the subjects in resultant table would not be same as the data table since begining, would the Index Match function be effective ?
Just scr 4:02 scene, and save for yourself, that is it. Unbelievably good video !

Hi Leila. Some time I saw a using @index inside formula. Could you advise or do VDO explain for this pls?
What is the difference between index and lookup formula? It also can be done by lookup + match formula right?
Thank you!
Thank you!!! Very helpful!!!

Thank You Jaspreet!!
So clearly studying. Thanks

Thanks a lot indeed. Match + Match combination:)
You are very Welcome!!
Awesome 😊
How do you make it work in reverse, for example: I would like to know what subject Alex scored a 100 on, so I know the values Alex and I know i am looking for his highest score on any one of the subjects (in this case I look for approximate match for a score of 100). How would that formula look?
thank you
Thank you.

You are very Welcome!!
Do you have a sample file with the data?
Hello Sir, when dragged to next rows same of first index answer reflecting next row. Could u please help
I have a question, taking your example, if there are large number of students and I want to bifurcate this class wise. Means in the first drop-down I need to select the class first and then from the result in the second drop-down I want to select the student name.. how to do that. please guide
Hello sir, and thank you so much.
However, I'm new here and I've been watching your tutorials for a very long time… but on this tutorial how can I make all the arrays fixed (by putting the $ sign) I mean the shortcut method.?
Press F4 key on your keyboard for windows os
A non related to your topic question but slightly related in some other things, was that formula, the formula of the horizontals or within the group of equals because the subject topic is about index match, about chemistry or science similars interaction? V lookup is 3 :1, X lookup is 3:3 meaning parallel or similar with some pairing match compatibility as example only. I won't dig more about that but I'm thinking of the complex lateral continuous transformation at both sides and the dimensional thing when it comes to creating formula for such because your formula is fixed to be changed by push button what if there's more than that the adaptability to be considered in the uniqueness and variety of things not yet discovered in the what if factor not included in excel but in real time occurrences. Now you know that the advancements and modernizations we have today or tonight if night there aren't yet that superbly sophisticated, and there are space for improvements and how to improve is to study space and it's changes. Can that be made into fruition in the coming 1,000 years?
Perfect
Thanks Mohammed
if i need to get a,b,c,d,e 5 entities P/L data and consolidate yearly in 6th workbook. how to pull data from 5 diff. workbook into 6th workbook sheet columns? i have 22 stores Financial statement n i want to consolidate in one workbook(automate)
Keeping our array from D6:G15 would be better I guess.
Though the values would be same but technically this approach is better.
You are right that the values would be same. But I like to mark the complete array in my formulas, easier to visualise and understand.
@@TEKNISHA Ok got it!
Thanks for the video anyway :)
You are very welcome
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
