One of the finest pieces of Black Metal I've ever found by accident.
Random click now leads to buying the album. This is definitely an 11/10.
By sheer chance, I did the same thing, and incredibly not long after it was released. Since then it has utterly ruined me lol. I've practically been listening to it on repeat since I discovered it. It pains me to think we have to come across a band like this by accident. This album and band deserves so much more exposure...

My favorite Black Metal release of 2020
Pascal's Wager, and B22: The Hive and Hole (from The Suns of Perdition III) are two of my favorite black metal songs of all time. Panzerfaust absolutely kills it with every album.
From the cover artwork to the last note on "Pascal's Wager" this is truly a masterpiece, can't describe how complete this album really is...

WHY IS THIS BAND SO GOOD???!!!! They've quickly become one of my favorite bands since I discovered them and I curse myself for not discovering them sooner.

I hear a lot of Mgla and KSM in this album, that's why it's for sure my album of the year at this point

Darn, mixing on this album is absolutely perfect, it's nice to actually hear the bass guitar in metal music once in a while. Superb album, reminds me a bit of Deathspell Omega.
Surprised by your opinion, as this Toronto squad reminds me more of Mgla or Kriegsmachine due their more "melodical" approach and longer tremolo picking runs.

@@maxwellsdem0n Well, when I wrote the comment I definitely had in mind Enemy of Man by Kriegsmaschine rather than their last album. It's a bit harder for me to name the exact Deathspell Omega influences I hear, but it's definitely their stuff from 2010 onwards, so have a go with Paracletus or even the Drought EP. Also, if you want something fresh, yet bleak, maybe you could try the latest albums by Proscription or Ulcerate, even though they are more on the Death Metal side.
I am no afraid to say it loudly.... it is a true masterpiece! Panzerfaust will survive and triumph over the pass of time!

I can't tell you how much it pains me this video has less than a million views. This is easily the best metal album of 2020 in my opinion, maybe even the decade - I dont give a fck im not qualified to pass judgement, its just my opinion. It's a fcking masterpiece. The lyrics, the drums, the vocals, the mixing. From start to finish its sublime.. It's rare that an album has this kind of impact on me. I feel like I can't even listen to anything else now... everything else just feels unfinished, inferior... - Eisenwald press some more vinyl of chapter 2 please! Take my money!!

Andrew Malpass ulcerate knocked it out of the park with their last album. Dark, heavy, brutal, but also has a deep message and meaning with parts of melody and beauty mixed in
