hey brother congratulations for your video I need to do it to my x3 max only I don't know English but with your video I understood very well just from watching it and I have to use the translator to write how many liters I have to use for differential and transmission
Great Video!!! I have a question on the front differential. What weight are you using? Is it the same as the rear? I ask because I bought the service kit and the diff fluids were 2 bottles of the 75W-140 and 1 bottle of 75W-90. I assume that the 75W-90 is for the front diff?
Got lucky on your front diff. Changed mine at 50hrs/600mi and I just about shit myself when I saw the amount of sparkles. But it’s about due for another service and hasn’t exploded yet.
If that bearing greaser doesn't have a 31mm internal diameter hole that slides over the 30mm axle splines on the XRC Turbo RR it aint gonna work. I bought one on evilbay that had that stepped lip in it & it was way too small (26mm I.D) to fit over a 2021 XRC turbo RR axle spline. I did get the right one but had to pull out the O-rings out of it as they are a tight fit & won't slide in with them on, still worked OK but it may be easier to take the knuckles right off & grease them.
Great tips...one reason to watch these. Even if you know how... watching someone else can very often result in little tips. Used by someone else and you say dang, how did I not think of that... so simple... inserting the funnel lol... so simple lol.. Btw, nice shop, or is that the dealership where you work ? Great show, thanks...
Very cool, and it's great that they allow you to use the shop. Thanks, hat's off to the dealership to allow you to provide these great videos ! Along with just enjoy the information you provide...
I see no responses to the questions. What fluid for front diff and how much does it take? Is it recommended every service to do the diffs as well? Does the rear diff oil do the trans as well? Same fill and rain does both?
Hey man, I just did the first engine oil maintenance. I filled the oil level just above the max line, I took the car for a ride and in about 10 minutes it turned off while driving and it won’t start. If I let it sit for like 15 or 30 minutes it start but for like 5 seconds. You think that overfilled oil level can cause this ? And how can I solve it ?
Awesome video . Just did a full fluid change on my 2020 xrc as well . Was curious as i didnt measure the fluid amount i filled in the front diff. But i filled enough where it was starting to flow out of the 8mil fill plug area . Is that the correct amount ?
Hello. What service do you recommend at 10 hours for a 2020 can am maverick x3 rs turbo rr? My dealer told me I should bring it in for a 10 hour service that cost $465. Is this right? They change oil and check other stuff I believe. I need to call for the exact service.
10 hour? Nah.... that’s them pushing extra stuff. Owners manual says 50 hours or 1000 mi for first service. And 100 hours or 2000 mi for each service after that
Are 2 first plugs that you removed (10mm and 17mm) are for engine oil? Or small one was for differential? Because after I changed engine oil only my steering wheel was shaking and some yellow sign show up on dashboard
Why replace them rivets before the skid plate is worn..? Once the skid plates are worn he's going to have to drill out the rivets in order to remove the old plates anyhow
Is this for the first service on it? I’m coming up to 50 hrs and I want to do my first service myself because dealer wants way to much. Can you help me out with what needs to be done?
Tha ks for the vid. The best one ive seen on this maintenance.
Great stuff , why do they have 2 drain plugs any idea ?
Great info thank you for taking your time to explain the key points you got yourself another follower
Thanks for the front diff fill behind tape recommendations- couldn’t find it
Thank you for the very detailed explanation on changing all the fluids much appreciated here in Missouri for sure five stars for you brother thanks

If you wanted to you probably could drill out all the rivets and install nutserts into frame so you could bolt the skid plates on.
Very heavily debating doing exactly that
That’s what I have done to my max x3
I saw a video where a guy did that.
Very well done sir. Right to the point. You just earned yourself another follower.

Like how you cut out the part where you put the front diff fill plug back in. It’s a PITA. Lol

Thanks man. It’s at the dealership where I work currently

Yup, fresh eyes and different tactics
I've got the same car and that same rack at my shop- good taste!
What rack is this?
@@nicklewis2023 it is a 10000lb hunter scissor alignment rack

When do you recommend to change the spark plugs?

Yes that is correct👍🏻
My can am only has 300 miles and 20 hours but I’ve had it for 2 years. Do I have to wait for the 50 hours/1,000 miles to do the services?
X3 turbo rr 300 miles does not go in four wheel drive took actuator off flip switch does nothing this is after dealer ship said fixed . Any idea?
How did you know your clutch went out ?
Greasing the bearings with that tool is what causes failures
What tool
Thanks for making this video and great job!
Did you used the same 75 140 xps for front and rear differential
No it’s different front and rear
Great vid brotha

Do you need to use new washers everytime you do a oil change?
Yes! Please do. So important
Are 2 first plugs that you removed (10mm and 17mm) are for engine oil? Or small one was for differential? Because after I changed engine oil only my steering wheel was shaking and some yellow sign show up on dashboard
Just for engine oil if the steering wheel is shakey maybe its the battery or steering wheel fluid
How long do you think before you drill the rivers out ?
I’d definitely like to sometime soon
Nice ride bro!!! We need to meet up one day
and go ride together brother. It would be a blast.
Yes definitely!!
Why not replace the rivets with something else?

@@djlansing never heard of a skid plate wearing out, at least in the last 10 years of wheeling

This video was exactly the first service. I pretty much covered it all aside from greasing wheel bearings which I cover in the big brake video.
That’s super cool
👍
What grease did you use ?
Just red all purpose synthetic grease
Great video! Thx!
Not super easy to do that service with out a lift!
It does make the service much easier
👌
Don’t see the last name Mehr too often.
I've got news for you.......................................Those "BOLTS" you refer too are "DRAIN PLUGS!, NO BOLTS!!
Give the man a break and stop being such a freaking karen
Would not recommend RIDE 1. in Springfield OHIO.
Can you do a video on flushing the coolant out of the system. Then bleeding the lines? Please
