I’m sitting here in Western Siberia and I watch every new episode of Graham’s show. Adoringly.
Isn’t this “globally famous”?
oh, hello fellow western siberian! :D
Hi from Moscow. Yes, I am that 35+ y.o. Russian gay guy who watches every episode I can get my hands on.
Hello my fellow Russians. I'm 37, not gay girl and love the show. Hello from California
Virginian 25yr old girl here! Graham is my favorite TV talk show … ever!!!!
Yeah I'm one of the many Irish that watch him. He is great rep for the homeland 😅
I think the thing that makes The Graham Norton Show so successful is that he always does his best to make the entire show entertaining for the audience. It's never just an outlet for celebrities to promote their latest project (which is why stars go on those shows). To that end, he always has the guests on at the same time, always books a comedian, and encouraged them to interact w. one another. That (plus the fact that they're drinking) usually guarantees lively conversation. He's absolutely the best at it.
all talkshows are made to entertain the audience. If the audience aren't entertained, the home audience obviously isn't going to be either. The difference is that he also makes it a nice evening for the guests. As you say, on other shows the celebrities are just there to promote something and while they may tell cheezy jokes and laugh, it's an act. Except for those occasions where the host and the guest are genuinely friends, it's just a brief act of fun to promote whatever the celebrity has got going. The interview will only last a few minutes and that's way too short to have any real conversation that can turn pleasant.
Graham has all the guests on together, so they spend a lot of time on the couch, and they get to have pleasant drink. They actually have a nice time, and it's not just a quick promotional visit, they genuinely talk and have fun with other celebrities they would otherwise never meet. People actually have fun and us, the audience, can feel that.
Graham Nortons show is so refreshing because all celebs be it A List or D list have to take to the same sofa and sit together and converse. Those that don't are instantly noticed for who they are. Has Mariah been on the sofa? I'd love Damien Lewis on the sofa. I like the down to earth ones
I’d love Mariah to be on the sofa!
He knows when to get the conversation going and when to be quiet and just let the guests talk. Most of the American talk show hosts constantly interrupt their guests to make a joke or to make it about them and it gets annoying. Graham makes jokes, but it almost always works since he waits for them to finish their story and then caps it off with a zinger instead of interrupting part way
He makes it so the guest isn't there just as part of the promotional train and allows them to relax a bit and asks different questions, let's them tell random stories, etc, even when there is a structure to his questioning. The main difference is that he let's them be the star of the show and doesn't try to make himself the star like every other talk show host
Graham does such a great job of managing multiple celebs on the couch at once, even in situations where it’s a global megastar is on with a niche British comedian he makes it work
I love Graham Norton. He's just a dude. No airs and graces. Very sharp and quick with the sarcasm.
His talk show's great, but you see him at his best on the radio.
It’s odd with Madonna. I truly believe she wants everybody to like/love her but she plays it off in public like she doesn’t care. Maybe it’s a form of self protection.
and or narcissism
@@kiers8136dingdingding!
@@kiers8136 Well, firstly what I described is not narcissistic behavior. And Madonna is not a narcissist based on her behavior when she's not in the public eye.
@@senorgato70 wanting everyone to love you is not a narcissistic trait, but acting arrogant and high and mighty to disguise the insecurity absolutely again IS a narcissistic, narcissists are extremely insecure and hide it with shitty behaviour, she gets away with it because she is madonna, her obsession with changing her image to fit what is ''youthful'' also screams of narcissism. she is a talented narcissist
@@kiers8136none of us know what it is like to live her life
Graham is the best talk show person on the planet ! Whenever I need a cheer up I watch his videos
He puts all other talk show hosts to shame. He is a pure gem of a man
Me too
Sometimes the guests themselves comment about how much more fun it is to be on his show than other talk shows. I think the main draw is that the guests have often loosened up with a few drinks then start sharing anecdotes between themselves. Graham has the sense to sit back and let or happen, or occasionally remind a guest that they also have a similar anecdote 😅
I’m from Brazil, Graham, and i adoooore you and the show. Amazing!
It's my guess that it's because he's downright authentic, gently irreverent but not cruel with it and is simply lots of fun. Can't help but believe that he's a genuinely lovely soul, bless him.
Graham Norton Show is definitely global. I flew from the middle east to london to attend a show back in 2019.
Woah, you're *definitely* a real fan. I've loved him ever since he was on 'Father Ted' and think his chat show has been the best in the UK for decades, but I'm a Brit. Lovely to see he is loved worldwide!
@@favouritemoon4133i definitely am, and the show didn’t disappoint it was Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham, Chadwick Bosman and Richard Ayoade
Graham Norton, I'm in PR 🇵🇷 and I watch your show! Yes you are global and I love you! 💕 Super fan! 🥰
Graham is s true gentleman
I know if I'm down in the dumps, a clip of Graham will always make me laugh, whether it's his show, or him doing an interview like he is here.
Where does he say 'I want to like Madonna'? He very clearly says 'I like Madonna'.
The fact that Magic are very happy to completely misquote someone in a video title like that is embarrassing.
I was waiting for him to start saying how much he dislikes her but he says nothing like that, this is purely clickbait to get the trolls in here that love to hear negative things about Madonna, basically he is saying he wants to be her friend but she keeps it as a professional relationship even both people in the video share their adoration for Madonna and talk about how good the new tour is it was like 2 fans discussing how they want to be Madonna's friend a complete different scenario than what is implied with this title.
@@leeroy826 And they wonder why Madonna won't speak to them.
Graham is the best talk show host ever. It is impressive how he can manage five or six different guests on the same couch for almost an hour and everyone participates actively. He is wrong when he says he is not famous worldwide. I watch him from Brazil and I am not talking about the shorts only. I watch the full episodes and his show is responsible for my good listening comprehension skills in British English.
About Madonna. I've been following her since the mid 80s and I can tell you she is not an easy person. She's had a big fat ego since she was born. If you have patience to watch her first interview with Graham Norton (back in 2012) you will see how little respectful she is. The Madame X interview, for me, was her most embarrassing moment on TV. There were, I don't know, four or five other people on the couch and she was so rude in her words and behaviour. The "I am not used to sharing couches" moment, if I were the host, she would probably have been invited to leave the stage and never come back. She's always talked about respect, but she doesn't know how to respect. Sir Ian McKellen was sitting right next to her and was a real gentleman.
Oh, I love it when Carey Mulligan is on the show. Sometimes I think she has no idea how brilliant she is.
I'm an American living in America and I watch full episodes of The Graham Norton show all the time. It's one of my favorite shows. Pretty sure Madonna is a narcissist so good luck with that. Thank you , Mr. N., for introducing me to so many extremely talented British people--including you! Also many thanks for The Big Red Chair 🤣😍
Watching the graham norton show from Kuwait 💅💅 the best talk show ever🖤🖤
I've been watching _The Graham Norton Show_ (not just clips) in the US since 2007 and don't think I've ever missed an episode. It's one of my favorite shows. I love the interaction between Graham and his guests and all of their stories, and if I'm ever feeling down, watching an episode of _The Graham Norton Show_ always lifts my spirits. I just wish he could book Lisa Kudrow on the show. She's the only one of the six _Friends_ that hasn't been on the show yet.
How do you see all of them? What streaming service, AMC+? I need to know. I love the show too! 😃

Graham is known in Australia and America and New Zealand 🇳🇿 where I've loved. Graham is global ❤
I’m in Utah and still watch every episode of his show and anything he does ❤
Don't try and dress it up Juice, you're in Southwest Wyoming.
Graham is so humble 😁He is globally famous. I am from Russia, I did watch a lot of full Graham Norton show episodes - wildly entertaining, the best chit chat show in the world
Graham you do have a global fan base! We love ya’ in 🇺🇸
Graham Norton is masterful at subtlety to the point where a lot of people seem to think he does nothing but bring fun people together and give them drinks. Anybody could do that.
Pay close attention to Graham and you'll start to notice that his humor and charisma energize and subtly direct the conversation to make all of his guests willingly participate and be entertained at the same. He's an absolute genius although he's so humble he'd never admit it.
The two shows I’ve seen where she was on were amazing!!!
Netherlands here and watching Graham since the 90's ... his interviews are excellent... so well prepared, rehearsed and executed and Graham always knows how to improvise when needed... there's a flow, there's some truth and depth and always respectful of people ... there's no better interviewer ... He gives it his all, he and his guests become one, one energy, one flow... a real professional performance...
I live in the US and have been watching Grahams show since the beginning. My Mother is 84 and never misses an episode. It is th e best talk show ever in the entire world.
I only watch clips to relive the funny shit I have already seen (I even hung on when the show was tried in the USA 😢. Some Americans are idiots.)
I hope he keeps it going for as long as he can! We love you Graham!
I do only watch clips now, because that is all we get here in the Philippines. But back in the US I watched whole episodes. Been a fan for far too many years. 😎
I just love you Graham. Your show is absolutely phenomenal🌟 You are a global celebrity, I’m from Turkey, never miss one show!!
Love Graham love his show he just makes you smile 😊❤
I remember seeing when Madonna was on his show and thinking, wauw she is one of the rudest guests I have ever seen on the show. And I have been to several of Madonna's koncerts mind you, so I am a fan of her shows and music, but not a fan of her behavior when she was on there.
I watch Graham’s show, lots of love from India 🇮🇳
I’d be more star struck my Graham than the actors & singers. Were I on an interview panel..💘💘💘👋🤩
Finnish fan here, Graham 👋
So much love for the guy in the comments :) I love it ....and I adore his show :) hello from the Czech republic :)
I live in los Angeles and was born in Florida. I have been watching Graham for over 10 years. Whole shows, too.
🇸🇪❤️ We love you here!
This bloke has the greatest talk show ever. And I'm a yank He's great at his job.
I live in TX and me and daughter watch Graham all the time, best most entertaining interviewer ever ❤❤
I've been watching his show in Vietnam for years. American talk shows are the ones I just watched "clips".
Cher has a point.
He's fantastic! His show never gets old. ❤❤❤❤
Love Graham ❤ so humble ❤😊
He said “I like Madonna.” Then added she doesn’t make it easy. I don’t remember him saying what you titled the video..?
her first appearance on the show was amazing, loved it - the second one was I'll be honest a bit of a trainwreck, especially when she seemed derisive towards Ian McKellen celebrating his 80th birthday
TBH, I would rather see Graham Norton in person than Madge😂‼️
He is right that he probably wouldn't be recognized easily in the US, but enough have discovered him from RUclips.
Graham Norton is the best on business until this day. Just love him very much, and he deserves all the respect! A true gem! Many blessings Graham! 🩵
We love Graham in the United States!
Graham is always 100% Graham.
Yes
Graham Norton is globally famous. When I lived in Korea way back in 2009/10 (I'm Canadian) we all would watch Graham Norton (yes clips, but sometimes the show) on RUclips. That hasn't changed! I've brought him up to Americans, Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Russians. They all knew who he was!
Graham is the perfect cup of hot chocolate on a cold evening. Love you, from Melbourne Australia
Where did he get his jacket??? I love it!
It's global Graham! Love from Australia ❤
I live in Canada and watch full episodes on RUclips
Love Madonna the artist, but seen too many testimonies over the years about her arrogance, and not just from fellow divas who might be "hating" or "jealous", she'll treat you like you're beneath her even if you wrote one of her biggest hits lol
Traditionally, when you put quotation marks around something, it means it's something somebody actually said.
God, this woman loves herself. Let him get a word in!
Big fan from Guatemala
We watch clips, because we can't get the whole show, Graham!
at some point you kinda have to stop giving people chances. madonna is notorious for her attitude. and late for her own shows.
I've watched Madonnas interviews on Grahams show. She is very rude and acts entitled. She has made her mark on the world for her work, but I think it has gotten to her head and she sees people as beneath her. I feel she is hard to interview as she doesn't even give answers with thought, just bare minimum to move it along.
I don't think you get her sense of humour. That being said, she has better chemistry with Jonathan Ross....who's a far better interviewer. Graham makes giggle tv.
You have no idea why she acts the way she does
It's okay if you don't get her sense of humour, and her mood swings. But where you are absolutely incorrect about is that it's not because of her achievements or how long she has been in the business. In fact she has always been like that even in 1983 interviews, before she was famous.
I was watching full episodes of the Graham Norton Show from Ukraine for years. And from all talk show hosts hosts out there, Graham Norton is my absolute favourite! And we all know who is Graham Norton without Taylor Swift reference!
I love his sweater!
Love his sweater
I remember Graham from father Ted back in the day how he's changed ,and when he first got his show to how he is now he's a different person totally today
Well, he was *acting* in Father Ted. Do you enjoy his show now? To me, it feels better than when he very first started it.
Graham, yes it's global. There's dozens of illegal copies on the full episodes on RUclips that people watch often. You are enjoyed by many people.
People have *always* loved to scrutinize and pick at her since she came out in the 80s. You either love her or don’t. But people can’t stop talking *about* her!
Good Cork Irish gentleman
..we don't take our selves very seriously.....😊
😂😂 I didint like her, faint memory of her being quite rude. She never rubbed off on me. Her music was ok in the early days lol. She's not what she thinks she is
Grahams show on channel 4 in the 90's was much better!!
Graham is the best. Undoubtedly.
Graham has talked to people in his audience from all over the world for years and years, it's literally a segment on the show, and yet he still insists nobody outside of England and Ireland knows about him.
Used to work in the suburbs of Detroit with a few older people who knew and grew up with Madonna, they didn’t have much nice to say.
Erm, excuse me Mr Norton, but you ARE globally famous and there is NOTHING you can do about that! We LOVE you❤🧡💚
Yes he’s global. I watch him from Albania. I love clips though
Madonna doesn’t do The Graham Norton Show because of Graham. She does it because he has had the BBC1 prime time chat show for many years. She’s looking for the most prestigious high profile opportunity to be on tv in the UK.
She’s also looking for soft interviews where her people can dictate what she will and won’t talk about and she can exert a high degree of control. It’s so obvious on Graham’s show that his guests’ trivial and often vulgar anecdotes have all been planned out in advance and that his job is to prompt them on when to deliver each story or joke or anecdote by cueing them up in a very obvious way. It’s a very safe environment for heavily PR managed Americans.
I remember her being interviewed by Terry Wogan on BBC1 in 1991 and then Jonathon Ross in 1992 and a few times later on all on BBC1. When Ruby Wax was interviewing celebrities on the BBC she got an episode with Madonna in 1994. Johnny Vaughan was riding high in 1998 as a popular tv presenter on Channel 4 so he got a special called Johnny meets Madonna. She was interviewed by the main man of British chat shows himself Michael Parkinson in 2005 during his defection from BBC to ITV.
You gotta understand her sense of humor, the fact that she doesn’t stand stupid questions, and has no qualms when it comes to speaking her mind
In other words, she's a rude narcissist.
She's arrogant, she treats her fans with contempt and think she's still relevant. She isn't. She's just a has been these days
her fans know she is always late, her fans have known her for decades. Not relevant? lol, people gave her for dead last summer and she showed up with a world tour that is getting great reviews everywhere. She might come off as arrogant... I guess feeble-minded peope would see it that way
@@leemorris4481
Sense of humor? She has none to speak of and takes herself too damn seriously. I’m saying this as a lifelong fan of her music (pre-2008). Sure, she’s earned the right to push back on stupid questions I suppose. But she’s been terrible to fans (showing up late to concerts multiple times for example). The fact that she’s made herself look like a pancake, hopped on the “yahhhs queen” train, and has pretended to be British at some point only emphasizes the fact that she’s in dire need of being knocked down a few pegs. Stop putting these celeb-tards on such huge pedestals and call it like it is.
Im from Albania and i love u.❤
Why does this clip repeat itself in the middle?
Graham has always been a very adaptive host. I remember when he did his more raunchy C4 shows and he had Lindsay Wagner on and she was lovely but quite restrained and this is when he used to get guests to join in odd games, she looked at him and he knew straight away she wasn't up for at and just said- "it's ok you can just watch" which was lovely. I have always loved Madonna as an artist but not as a person, she just doesn't seem that nice- too controlling.
I’d rather hear him talk about Madonna than listen to Madonna talk.
Mariah Carey hit the nail on the head when she heard that Madonna said maen, critical things about her, she said "i know why she said those things, its because she's incredibly insecure, within herself". Now it was a long time ago when Mariah was put on the spot to comment on that, but she was right. Mariah also pointed out how Madonna would never say anything directly to her. Basically Mariah "doesn't know her!" for Madonna to have been so rude about her. Madonna was obviously threatened by Mariah's talent so she publically tried to dismiss her as someone who wouldn't be in the industry that long or something!! The nerve of Madonna, talk about an over inflated ego!!
It’s easy to LOVE Madonna 🤷🏾♂️😂👑
Graham however is an acquired taste!
When you are a b........ And treat people rudely ... Who needs it ...😊... just my opinion
We watch clips because the show is not on TV even expensive cable. I'd 100% watch the show on TV if i could.
I love Madonna specifically in interviews. She's always entertaining in her own way.
With all the big egos that Norton must've bumped into ... he must've thought at some point that he was a pretty great talkshow host. These guests/egos I speak of are known world-wide... so why wouldn't GN be?
He was VERY (almost TOO) humble about this.
If you've been doing it as long as she has, as long as she isn't harming anyone, she can act however she wants
Madonna likes it when she's the only guest. Her 2012 show she's comfortable in 2019 with other guests,,she's not happy as it's not really focused on her
Madonna doesn’t like it if someone tries to hard
🎶 👑 MADONNA 👑 🎶
Unfortunately Madonna didn’t come across well when Graham Norton interviewed her
2:08
He is adorable and I'm going gay for him (not for the first time) ❤
The amount of American guests who call him British 🤔
A lot of the time her sarcasm comes across as rude.
I think the host is a Madonna fan
Graham is like "they watch clips". Mate, every show is full on YT, just not by the BBC which is dumb of them because they are losing money.
I think Madonna is a wonderful person with her family and friends... we can not expect to be like this with us ... when the only thing that we want to do is to take a picture or autograph... we are confusing Madonna with the persona Madonna has when she is going on tour or a talk show.. People have a lot expectations from her for some reason just because the buy her music!!
Graham likes to play the everyman And his guests just slip into line with him. Madonna ain't playing in Graham's world, he's in hers when she's around. She seems to have fun with him anyway. Half way into an interview with her Graham seems to lighten up.
Yeah, Madonna is well known in the US to be extremely, extremely rude.
