Unfortunately, there's no Hatbox Ghost animatronic in the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom. The only place you can find the hatbox ghost is at Disneyland.

me too 😢but at least there is no waiting in line and you get a good view of the ride. I watched Tower of terror, Pirates of the Caribbean, Carousel of progress and a ton of other rides. I also watched Phantom Manor (Vincent Price version) from Disneyland Paris and Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion at Tokyo Disneyland. I know for a fact that I will never go there so I was glad I could watch it on here.

+Doяk I agree, Phantom Manor was spooky and the bride looked pretty realistic to me. If you haven't already, you should watch the Tokyo Tower of terror because it is spooky and the lobby is very fancy, it looks like a luxury hotel from long ago. There is a story behind it too. The owner of the Hollywood Hightower Hotel ( George Hightower) was an explorer and always looking for rare artifacts to put in his hotel lobby. One day while on a trip to the jungle, he saw a statue that he wanted. The people tried to warn him that the statue was cursed but he didn't listen and stole it. When he got back to the hotel, he had to go up the elevator to get to his office but unfortunately for him the curse was real. A terrible storm was raging and a green glow was seen from the elevator as it fell unexpectedly causing George to fall to his untimely demise. When the elevator door was open, George's body is all that remained and the statue was gone! That is the story for you and here is a fun fact- I found out that George Hightower is related to one of Constance/black widow bride's husbands.

The great thing about this ride is that you dont have to wait such a long ass time because the carts are like inches apart and they move continuously.
And you get that awesome stretching room.

That was my favorite part! It was really scary when I was little.
I think that was the only part that didn't scare me, oddly enough. I was too busy looking at the pretty decorations, lol XD

I love this ride , mostly the ballroom, I wanted to get off my ride ,and dance in the ballroom .with the ghosts. ha ha.
Honestly the intro scared me the most. I was 10 years old at the time and wanted to go on this ride cause family members told me it was great. As we are in line, I start crying. We get into the room (the circular one that looks like there's no doors, it's dark, and you're crammed in with a bunch of strangers) also I had an intense phobia of thunderstorms. So as soon as I heard thunder I was BAWLING.
I also recall feeling someone touching my head, but my dad had his arm around my shoulders.
I feel ya! but they're not actually holograms, they're reflections. there's a large pane of glass about 6 feet in front of us and the ghost figures are above and below us, and when they're lit up we see their reflection on the glass out into the room

Nah. I like the new bride. She is creepy as it is especially with her backstory. The thing is just with me at least, I don't like being scared. I don't mind a little heart racing but not scared. That is why I loved haunted mansion. It was spooky and eerie without scaring the living daylights out of me. I think I would have been terrified if the bride I saw was Emily (BTW that is the 1990s bride's name) and my experience on the ride would have been ruined.

+Crescent Pony Yep, Disney World's is still around. Ours was never converted into the Rocket Rods like the one in Disneyland, so they never decided to close it. We don't have Mr. Toad's Wild Ride anymore, though, which sucks.
Omg the piano playing itself is so creepy.. the creepiest part of it is how there is a person’s shadow on the ground.. eek!!

Some times people wait in line with there family or are forced to be there b/c other people in there group want to go on or they just don't want to be there, so they get board or they've been on the ride so many times that it's just not Interesting anymore, why hate on it when you don't Evan know the whole story.
+Lucia Brown - because the light from a phone is at the very least distracting and, at the very worst, it ruins the ballroom scene. I'm not hating on someone's boredom, just their lack of consideration.
+Lucia Brown - You can see her in the reflective glass between 4:05 and 4:07. Perhaps someone finally did say something - no one should have to. Some thoughtless person did this with an iPad when I was on the ride with my daughter a few years back. I has to yell twice to get his attention (perhaps ruining the moment for others); she saw the reflective glass for the first time because he didn't stop soon enough. One bit of Disney magic shot down. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and the concern for people who are often too timid or polite to speak up.
+Lucia Brown It's a simple courtesy issue. It's the same reason why you should not be on a phone at the movies or the theatre. The light from a phone is disruptive to others, and that is rude, period.
I can’t express how much I love the ballroom scene in words. The detail, the music from grim grinning ghosts, I just love it all

I went on this ride when I was nine years old. That was over 30 years ago. And I still remember it fondly. Thank you for the happy memories.
I remember i got stuck for a while in this ride... i was so scared.
Girl, were we somehow on that ride at the same time, I was stuck in the room, where the woman kept repeating "Send us a message by ringing a bell" we had to be stuck there for like 10 maybe 15 minutes.

Comparing this to HM in Disneyland, I like the way this has you in a doom buggy the whole time where people usually walk, so it doesn't bottleneck. I like the additions of the library with multiple statues eyes following you, the piano playing with no one there but you see the shadow of someone, and the bride with more of a story as was originally intended. Minus the omission of the stretching room and paintings in DL I would say this is better.

Having been on both attractions, I personally like the one at DLR more. You get more characters and the stretching room is better. Also when you walk to the doom buggies at disneyworld, there is nothing to see, but at Disneyland, you see the busts and Windows. The effects don't work well being in the doom buggies for the busts.

I remember going on this for my 8th birthday, but instead peed my pants, and was so scared that the only ride I would agree to go on was the "it's a small world" ride. Later on, my family decided that the small world ride was scarier than the haunted house.

I prefer the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, but I wish we had The Nightmare Before Christmas show here. Now Pirates of the Caribbean is MUCH better at Disneyland, IMO.
GregtheDisneyfile I agree with you except for the nightmare before Christmas comment. This is such a great ride that it is annoying when it’s different on your visit there.

This ride use to give me nightmares as a child. I’m 25 now and it still freaks me out a little.
*THANK YOU*...you don't know how long I've waited for someone to do this...almost all the WDW HM videos here are of poor quality,either too dark to see anything or filmed in ugly grey-green nightvision!!! And the few that are good are outdated,not including the new details like the Escheresque stairways!

Man, your low light camera is incredible. I've never seen it this bright, even when they have the lights on. This really lets you see the insane amount of detail on this ride. I wish they still made them like this.

This was my favorite ride since I was a 5 year old tiny blonde girl and it was how I first discovered I loved horror films.

As a 7-year-old, the graveyard scene absolutely terrified me. The worst part was when these idiots would literally DUMP ASHES OF THEIR LOVED ONES ON THE RIDE TO BE GHOSTS IN THE MANSION. The ride would "break down" often, but everybody knew it was 'cause some fool(s) would be throwing cremated ashes during the ride. This had caused it to come to a halt lots so poor staff members could clean it all up.
Unfortunately, my young and terrified self -who still loved the ride- would get stuck in the graveyard scene and would have a pretty scary moment.
This is so beautiful! Whoever lives close by and has the chance to visit often you should be glad. I love amusement parks and anything related to Halloween and there’s so many places that i would love to visit but my pockets won’t allow me to do so lmao.

to be honest, it kinda upsets me how lit it is inside now. Its always been really dark in there.
It's still very dark inside. We use a very powerful camera that can see more than what the human eyes can see. If we were to shoot it with a regular camera or an iPhone, you will not be able to see anything. The video will simply be pitch black if it was shot with a regular camera phones or dslr.

+SoCal Attractions 360 that's why I like your channel. Other P.O.V. channels use crappy green light, or night vision to record rides like this.. or try and do it that way and it's really dark and no point in seeing this. You take the time to give us a good quality video on it and I enjoy it.. I need some Muppet Vision 3d though..

It's not that you're scared, it's that you Know how all this works. Smoke and mirrors, animatronics, lighting, decor, etc. If you're scared of this ride, just know it's a bunch of crappy robots that Disney put fancy costumes on. You're safe. And if worst comes to worst, grab a proton pack and never cross the streams
I really hope someday they bring the animated Hitchhiking Ghosts to the California ride. It would make a great ride even better!

One of my absolute favorite Hidden Mickey's at about 6:57. The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride and I must say that your camera is phenomenal. Your videos will help my cravings between trips and this is coming from an Annual Passholder and DVC Member. LOL! I just can't get enough of Disneyworld and don't think I ever will. People look at you weird when you tell them that but those of us "in the know" can totally understand why.
I fully expected "extreme low light" to just be a fancy way of saying "too dark to really see anything", but wow! This is crazy awesome!

I have rode this ride each time I was in Disney world. Once the ride just stopped. It was so fun.
I used to be terrified of this ride as a kid, took me the longest time to get passed that fear, but I'm glad because as an adult, this has become one of my favorite rides.

Haunted mansion
This ride terrified me as a kid. At age 6 my mom had to explain to me how the ride works and all the tricks and details, such as how the pictures in the beginning change with on flash, just so I would continue to ride it as I got older

This has got to be THE best video of the Haunted Mansion I have ever seen. I grew up in Florida and used to live at Disney (I live in New England now so I mainly watch for the nostalgia lol). Everything was so clear, I still don’t think I saw everything live that was in your video (but I’m sure it was there :). I’ve seen so many videos of The Mansion, and I don’t know if it’s your camera, lighting or what but great job! All your videos are actually really great. Keep ‘em coming!!

They've done so much with this ride since I was a kid. I went on it a few years ago and was blown away. It's been my favorite since I was 6.
These rides move so fast that you don't even have the time to appreciate all the artistry involved.

Top 5 favorite rides here. I am also really glad I came onto this channel. I enjoy P.O.V. channels, most of them are OK.. but the indoor ones, you've done a good job on it.
"Hurry back.........hurry back........We are dying to see you again.......The second projection gag of the ride, The first is the four singing heads when the ride first opened all those many years ago......Today, that is taken for granted. It was cutting edge technology in its day.

One of DW reasons for not updating their mansion to Holiday is because they claim it's hard to reset everything after the season due to how it's run. As for not updating it with Hatty I have no honest clue...
+Chad Lincoln Who knew that some Californians are rude about how it should be. Okay, we get Disneyland has been around a "hella" long time and crap and y'all are the OG Disney, but can you not be so stingy about that? We want the Hat Box Ghost in Disney World because we have people who want to experience that too, and don't you EVER think that everyone can just fly to California for that because some of us Southerners and foreign people have our own Disney in some part of the world who may not be able to afford a ticket just for a silly little reason. Disney should expand their "Hatty" model, and do a Haunted Mansion holiday on other Disney Parks around the world. Let's NOT keep it all in Cali, okay sweet pea? Bless your little heart.
Kenshi Mardon WDW shied away from holiday overlays for many years because management believed long-distance guests would be angry at the time it would take for rides to be down in order to install and remove the overlays. That changed with the arrival of Jingle Cruise in Orlando, which happened when management changed behind the scenes a few years ago. It's more possible now that HMH might actually show up sometime in MK.

I love seeing their library, music room and their ghostly Escher stairway over our blank loading que for the doombuggies here in California. It’s an excellent transition from scene to scene.
