I have witnessed the miraculous work this organization has been doing since 1984 and in 91 became Best Friends Sanctuary. I love ALL of you specially all the fur babies of all kinds. THANK YOU, THANK YOU
This video provided some much-needed relief. As a life-long resident of the west coast (Calif. & Oregon) and after seeing and experiencing first-hand those "mostly peaceful protests" (read RIOTS) going on in both states where looting, massive and willful property damage, needless injuries and even death occurred via such violent groups as #BLM and ANTIFA , it's great to see such compassion and GOOD deeds in action by a group of saints such as Best Friends. God Bless You All! This sweet video provided needed "feel good" relief.
You know I love you guys but I'm disappointed in the way you treat mother dogs from the shelters you partner with. You take the cute little puppies but leave the mothers behind and many are euthanized, murdered. Don't deny it because you know you do it, it's a fact! I want you to stop leaving the mother dogs behind. Thank you.
Hi Tamara, thanks for your comment. We understand how difficult it can be to see so many animals in need both in our communities and online each day. Sadly, it's an all-too-common situation - in the U.S. alone, nearly 2,000 healthy and treatable dogs and cats are killed in shelters every single day. As you might imagine, Best Friends receives a very high volume of requests for assistance - thousands each year - and while we wish we could assist every animal, we simply aren't able to do so. We find it's the best use of resources to work through our 2,700+ Best Friends network partner shelters and rescue groups to balance our very limited space for admission.
