You both are so great! Thank you for this wonderful walkthrough of what you eat in a day, Trey. Rosa, you are the queen of cooking with love and Trey, you also are a natural presenter. Such a joy to watch you both and to learn as we go. Here is to the King and Queen of natural foods and how to love them.
I’ve noticed something really subtle and sweet. When you and your family are gathered around that beautiful island, which I’m sure has some amazing stories, you often unconsciously link or overlap each others’ arms. In multiple videos, your arms crisscross with your children and your husband! I don’t think you folks even notice, how sweet and beautiful it is!
It’s so wonderful to hear all the healing you have done. I;ve been sick for most of 10 years and been on a healing journey. It’s been challenging in and I have been stuck at home unable to leave with digestive issues and fatigue. All my tests come back fine but I believe when I had mono and upper respitory infection 10 years ago and had to take steroids and antibiotics my health started to decline. I’ve been on a plant based journey for a long time but I think because I jumped all in that my body started detoxing too abruptly. What a journey. Your story gives me HOPE!
Wow thank you for sharing your journey! Those antibiotics really does something when you take too much, it can really mess with your gut system ugh! So sorry you had to go through that and glad you’re on this healing plant based journey! Be sure to stay away from processed foods too as those are considered plant based but just not good for you!
Thank you so much for the kind words it’s very inspiring because I don’t feel like I have good presentation or communication skills. With all your encouragement maybe you’ll see me more on camera 😊
I've been watching your videos for a few weeks!! I'm so glad I found you!! I love that you keep it real in the kitchen. I can feel the love through the tv!!! I am going to try some of your recipes!! Peace and blessings to you, hubby and the kiddos!!!❤❤
Great team work - enjoyed watching you make the meals as well as Trey giving us some interesting info on the foods and why he eats the way he does . Looking forwards to hearing more from you too Trey .
Thank you for sharing this info. I developed acid reflux so dealing with certain food eliminations or substitutes has been on going. Keeping records of food reactions and triggers. As a vegan giving up eggs and cheese was so hard...NOW giving up dark chocolate for carob, coffee for swiss processed decaf, tomatoes for red peppers, etc. Trey...you are so encouraging. I adore mushrooms and look forward to your upcoming project. I buy them whole dried and grind into powder. Thanks again.
Thank you Mary! I also started with acid reflux many moons ago also. I know your pain all too well. It gets easier and you’ll adapt and learn to love what you have. As your microbiome changes and learns this is what we eat now you’ll crave less. I always tell rosa it’s not you craving this and that it’s your microbes. It’s very good what you’re doing and it takes a while to learn all your triggers. Listening to your body is the best thing you can do. As time goes on and you start feeling better add something back and see how your body responds. For a long time I had to stop eating mushrooms because my body would react to them, now they make me feel great! You can do this and remember this is only a season and all seasons must come to an end. Keep doing what you’re doing and you will overcome this. HOPE (Having an Optimistic Perspective Everyday). Keep Hope close to your heart.
@@thehaipath Thanks so much. I truly appreciate your encouragement. I completely agree...honoring and appreciating the foods that heal us is so important. Like everything else in life!!!
Thanks for such an informative video. It’s really touching to see how your whole family works together to nourish one another in such tailored ways. I loved seeing your daughter making the sauce - what a pro! It also brought back memories of being in the kitchen with my mom growing up. I’m unsure if my symptoms are due to an autoimmune disorder, but I’ve been doing a lot of research to find solutions to some digestive & skin issues. The food combining rules remind me of what I’ve been learning in Ayurveda; is that what it’s based on? If not, I’d love to know where to find more resources on this. Wishing your lovely family good health & many wonderful memories together.
Thank you for the kind words. Digestive and skin screams liver and kidneys. The food combinations can surely help with the digestion portion. I not sure if it derived from Ayurveda medicine or TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) I’ve seen it in multiple sources however I do know it works because when I go outside of it my body lets me know. Some herbs that can help. Dandelion root, Burdock root, Cascara Sagrada (laxative effects), Cleavers, Purple Corn Silk, Gentian, Juniper Berry (Start with small amounts and work up), Marshmallow root, Milk Thistle, Parsley root and leaves, Red Clover and Slippery Elm (soothing on the GI, pairs nice with Cascara). You don’t need to talk them all at the same time, you can find which suites your needs the most and you can mix them all equally parts and drink as a tea. Milk Thistle, Cascara Sagrada, slippery Elm, Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, and Purple Corn Silk would be a good start. Mixed in equal parts. You can learn more about the food combinations from the book “Healing with Whole Foods” by Paul Pitchford. This is the only book that I’ve read that gives explanation on the food combinations, it starts on page 260. Also for your skin make sure you’re using clean skin care. Your soap should only contain lye (sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide), oils/butters and essential oils. Sometimes lye is labeled as saponified oils. The same applies for your shampoo. Rid your home of all chemicals and look into air purifiers to clean the air in your home. Corsi-Rosenthal boxes are cheap and very effective, you can even find aesthetically pleasing ones now. I really hope this helps. The issues you battle with can be a burden, however with disciple and persistence you can and will overcome it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you always your love and support. I was thinking about your upcoming trip haha i think I’m more excited for you than you are 😁
