This looks like one of those games that's too good to be true. It looks better than any game ever, made by a Chinese or Korean developer, that is "announced" with a vague idea of what it is and is never seen again.

Gotta say, I love how Chinese Mythology is being explored. We have so many Japanese style adventure games already - its' finally time for some Chinese lore to become mainstream. Wu Kong, Phantom Blade 0, Wo Long ! I'm here for all of them!

Same here, I really don’t understand why there aren’t many games set in China. For the longest time the only thing that came to mind was Dynasty Warriors. We need more games with this setting, there’s so much potential. Especially in a market full of Medieval Europe and Feudal Japan stuff.
@@TakiGamesOfficialWell isn't that obvious, not all country like American and Japanese which has full blown nerd culture in all aspect such as animated, movies and games. Is good that now other country started to develop games and show us their myth and legend. Imagine if all country in this world develop games, we could see tons of different myth, lore and legends in each country.
I don't trust it. All of these trailers but very few games or release dates. Not to mention, all of this Chinese mythology coming at a time where the US is really hesitant to allow Chinese apps and things that can monitor you...I'm very cautious of it all but optimistic at the same time. My paranoid side just feels like this is some kind of conditioning...Its just weird to have almost 0 representation of a culture and for all of a sudden and all at once the market to get flooded with things about that culture when ppl are currently hesitant towards that country and its tactics in media and electronic warfare. Think about how much chinese marketing has exploded in the west in the last few years, tiktok, temu, the phones that i forgot the name of....and all of them have been under suspicion for some type of monitoring or espionage type things.

Really hoping this game doesn’t get canceled. The last time I saw anything this groundbreaking and ambitious was Metal gear rising back in 2010 and that project ended up getting scrapped and we got a watered down version

I’ve been complaining everywhere about not enough games being set in fantasy China, like I seriously wasn’t understanding why. If it was set in Asia it always had to be Japan. And now a ton of these games are coming out of nowhere, it’s a dream come true. Dynasty Warriors just doesn’t cut it. Wo Long doesn’t cut it. I need more of these!
Yep fr, mythical China seems more “OG” to me as I’ve learned that many elements of Japanese culture, lores and myths had origins from China but at least this - with Black Myth Wukong, Project Perceiver etc looks good enough to deliver.
And yeah Wo Long feels kinda generic and has that “Japan” style personally (I know it’s made by the same guys of Nioh but still)

Apparently the studio did make a Phantom Blade game before this called Phantom Blade Executioners. It looked more mobile and ARPG but this is on a different level.

Man your reaction killed it, mainly everyone just brushed aside the combat but this combat has literally never EVER been done before. It's like cutscene combat its fucking insane. You saw the dodges? instead of rolling away like 90% of the game, he actually stood his ground and dodged using his upper body that was fucking cold as shit. Though this game feels TOO good to be true which I fucking pray that it's not the case

The combat and the traversal remind me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and other Chinese Martial Arts flicks from like the 70s and the 80s, maybe with a little bit of old-school Kurosawa thrown in there.

every single time weve seen a game with such mindblowing gameplay, it was always revealed to be downgraded
i want it to actually play and look like this but unfortunately the gaming industry has provek quite the opposite for a while now
yeah all of the combat in this looks heavily scripted. or like it's all QTE's. there's no way this is legit, and i wouldn't be surprised to find out it's an investment scam of some kind considering how hard they evidently tried to make it LOOK like real gameplay instead of just showing a cinematic trailer like some of the other titles shown in the showcase.
@@DiscountYT it's way too smooth to be actual gameplay, like everything is TOO perfectly polished. we all know games don't actually play and look like this. even good triple A games aren't this smooth at 60 fps.
@@strayexk7157 yeah the animations especially-- contextual animations arent unheard of in games but for them to be flowing this smoothly together really gives away that it's scripted or pre-animated.
