My favorite thing about Bloodborne is how its difficult for people in different ways. I’ve never once died to those spiders that get him multiple times, but Charlie destroys bosses i had to play like 30 times or couldnt do without a helper.
This game has the best sound design out of any of them. All of the bosses, even the human ones, sound like they’re out for blood and nothing else. The Cleric Beast, who is likely the first boss you fight, has an ear-piercing screech you won’t ever forget. It’s fantastic.

Against crowds Its unbeatable Style points are already maxxed out Practicality is off the charts Its one of the best weapons in the game unironically if you truly are a "Hoonter" through and through
I've always found it to be really awkward personally. I like that with the Cleaver you can get right up to an enemy and gut them. Super simple. The Pimp Cane looks cool and the whip transformation is sick, but the way it moves is very unnatural imo.

All from soft games have a detecated following. Ds3 is one of steam most popular online games on and off after all those years. Souls games really never die.
Bloodborne was my first souls like game. I had no idea what I was getting into. The cover just looked cool. 58 yr old here. My 20 something souls experienced sons were like “Dad, this is what it’s all about” I grinded, learned, and finally succeeded. Then I got Elden Ring and loved the challenge and freedom of open world. Now after getting gud at movesets I want to go back to Bloodborne.
Early weapons have dogshit scaling. It makes no sense to level Strength before Vitality and Endurance you're getting like 2 extra damage per level. Upgrading your weapon gives you more damage and leaves your early levels (which are very important) for Vitality and Endurance. Then when you get later in the game when you get a decent weapon, you can put all your points into Strength. Chat gave him a lot of shit for dumb stuff but that was one of the few ones that was deserved
@@megakirbyxyeah they don’t scale as generously as Elden ring but there are blood gems in bloodborne that can drastically improve your damage as well. I wish they would incorporate blood gems or something similar in Elden ring and future releases.
My philosophy is always: What do I need health for if I never get hit? A previous commenter stated that early weapon scaling is dog-water, and I agree, but I love being able to kill stuff a tiny bit faster more than I enjoy eating a higher number of beast claws to the face. The goal of the game is to attack, not be attacked, no?
@Dylan Bradley he did fiiiine. To be fair he didn't choose the build, it was suggested to him. Probably would've been more entertaining imo if he just did a vanilla sawblade run than that pizza cutter.

I started the DLC in NG+, and Ludwig kicked my ass for 6 attempts But for Orphan I killed him on the first try Crazy how the boss experience in Bloodborne just completely shifts person to person
I realized why Bloodbourne is the best of the souls’ games, because you’re not the underdog fighting off impossible enemies and succeeding, you’re the hunter doing the job which is why it says prey slaughtered, I slowly began to realize that I shouldn’t fear the monsters, the monsters should fear you.
This is generally how bloodborne feels to me as well. I’m probably in the minority but when I beat Mergo’s Wet Nurse and the doll said Gehrman was waiting for me I was like wait..really?
yeah i was looking for orphan when i first played not knowing he was in the dlc and then i got it and died 50+ times to him
twitch chat really be like "how dare you use a weapon purposely put into the game by the developers, hence making it a perfectly valid way to play the game!!!"
Lmaooo this is anyone when you play DS2 with the lightning rapier
@Keknov or twin greatswords
@Keknov Man I don't get it I tried to use the twin swords late game but they are very average imo
@Keknov probably not to be honest, whats the build actually?
@Keknov Damn that sounds busted, will definetly use on next playthrough, ever tried it out in pvp?
Best part about watching other people play souls games, see who their struggle bosses are, i couldnt ever imagine the one reborn being considered hard in the slightest especially with a whirlygig but Vicar fucking clapped my cheeks for days on my first playthrough. Its weird. But awesome
Laurence was the hardest in the game for me (about 10-15 tries) but I beat Orphan of Kos on my 4th try
@@lightningbolt4419 literally beat orphan today. Also took me 4 tries!
@@lightningbolt4419 Lauren took me 2 tries
I literally walked into vicar amelia's arena on my 1st playthrough and clapped her 1st try
I notice I have the hardest time with fast smaller agile bosses . Like blood starved beast , martyr logarius, orphan of kos
I saw bloodborne... I clicked.
everything in this game from music to boss battles is just unbeatable.
same thing could be said about sekiro ,but you're absolutly right.
ruclips.net/video/_QXpyNV0bxU/видео.html,
@@nyr3n914 planning on playing this game too.
@@agnieszkarajder2821 I'm not clicking that.
@@nyr3n914 the ost In sekiro is forgettable. The only ost I remember is father owl.
Bloodborne is the absolute greatest of all time

The amount of times I've heard this song while doing defiled chalice dungeon is uncountable
Gave me ptsd. One shot AoE’s aren’t fun.
I got real lucky with the quote-unquote "cheese" with doing a dash attack when he does his head swipe and attacking his limps when he vomits. Took like 10 minutes tho...
Pure arcane build don't care bout no demon pupper.
Me: *sees living failure* “Ah yes, I know him well,” I say as try to complete the assignment that was due 3 months ago.
Holy shit relatable, due to online school I have permanently fucked up my motivation for schoolwork, I can play games really well but I can’t or won’t put effort into schoolwork
@@minnows-_- I’ve been putting more effort in recently, it’s just hard sometimes.
I have found my people!
@@splinter4161 update, I completed the assignment on the second to last day of my high school career.
@@minnows-_- yeah online school kinda dumpsters my motivation for school. Which sucks since I used to like school
I just started bloodborne and it's my first souls game and I really see what the hype is about, these games are something else. Absolutely gorgeous to boot
15:44 Amelia really hit him with the vine boom
46:00
"lets go straight to arianna, where is she"
"at my house"
This had me laughing for so long
I love that whenever Charlie plays a souls game, he takes everything seriously, no jokes, no nothing
chat really doing him dirty by telling him the elevator is the only shortcut to Logarius
Is there another?
@@scottbecker4367 theres a lever that opens a bookshelf that has a ladder you climb up so instead of going through the whole buiding again its just elevator, ladder, rooftops.
@@wasteman9548 oh yeah. I didn't know he had missed that. The run is still terrible after opening that.
@@scottbecker4367 yeah true, idk if he did or not but it still made him think it was a lot worse than it was :p
@@wasteman9548 That ladder is literally how you access the boss. You can't get to him without first revealing the ladder. The run past all the ghosts and a minute of roof parkour is what makes the run back so annoying.
This was my first Souls game. I played every other Souls game after and this is still hands down my favorite.

Orphan of Kos is the biggest achievement in my gaming life
Orphan of Kos is the biggest achievement in my life...
Unpopular opinion, but I don’t find Orphan to be all that difficult. I get the struggle 100%, but I just think it’s a bit overhyped. Tbf tho, I’m really weird when it comes to bosses as I still struggle to fight Rom of all things
@@theleastgothgoth6572 i feel you. In demons souls I smacked flamelurker first try and then proceeded to die to dragon god 10 times in a row
@@theleastgothgoth6572 yeah i agree, him and fume knight are wildly overrated. Just in bloodborne i struggled more with Laurence than orphan

This game is just such a masterpiece. I absolutely love it to bits. I may be really bad at it, but I still love it all the same.
You don't have to be good at a game to love it. You also don't have to play it on any difficulty you don't want to, or impose challenges on yourself due to peer pressure.
Enjoy the game how you want. Don't let others ruin it for you.
@@TheFirstCurse1 You have no idea how many people wished that you could "play it on any difficulty"
@@TheFirstCurse1 difficulty???
@@SuperbChicken i suppose they meant something like using a "community disliked" op weapon because it brings the difficulty down.
@@SuperbChickena year late but he meant chalice dungeon known as CUM
"I don't think side-stepping is as good as a roll"
Oh Charlie...
He defeated amygdala while barely even hitting its arms, a true madlad
"That was a pretty easy boss, he never even protected his legs." lol
He didn’t even hit the head after it lowered it, any of those times.
I thought that’s how you were supposed to. I always got body shots and a few hits on the head when I was lucky enough for it
Amy is just easier to stay underneath it especially in chalice
@@theninja2k14 Dunno, I personally find it way easier to exclusively hit his head, since his moveset is so well telegraphed, its easy to bait out the right moves and hit the head.
When Charlie said he struggled against the cleric beast I knew this was gonna be good
YEES
I mean he already beat the game like 10 times before this
Yep
This wasn’t his first play through lmao
weird... I find cleric beast and other early bosses very easy after the 3rd playthrough. Ebrietas though, always gives me hard times
I beat the game with the kirkhammer, I love that weapon, also the environments in this game are absolutely gorgeous, art is top tier
