I am making a catch all basket with a leather bottom. Can I use a different stitch, like a herringbone or waistcoat stitch. My leather bottom has 45 holes. And is rectangular. Would I still place 3 stitches in the corner and two along the sides? Any suggestions would be great. I am not able to find a pattern and your video was at least helpful for how I can begin. Thank you.

May I ask what size hook you used? I am sure there are only a few sizes that will fit easily with multiple stitches in each hole. Thanks. Love the tutorial.❤

Sure, in this video I use a 3.5 mm hook but just tested that a 4mm hook fits as well (with some squeezing though 😅) ❤️
