A few months ago I picked up one guy from a Walmart he had a hammer he said he just bought it because he has to "fix a headboard for his bed" he put it in the trunk, which is good for me because you can't enter the trunk from inside the car, you have to be out of the car. he wanted to go to a bar at 3am *obvious warning sign* he was directing me because he said the building was new and easily missable *obvious warning sign* then 2 min into the ride he was starting to become uneasy about me carrying, I said "how would you know if I'm carrying?" He said "I can see it" (at this point I'm creeped out cuz it's under my shirt in my belt and I have a hoodie on so there's no outline and it's out of his visual range so I assumed he's baiting me into saying if I'm carrying a weapon) I replied "you are correct but you can't see it, im military trained so you have nothing to worry about" he didn't say anything afterwards and he payed at the end, but when he got off the *bar* he was going to was a broke down building and I said "is this the right address?" He said "yeah it is" he started walking into the building, I said "you forgot your tool in the trunk" he said "keep it I don't need it" which was weird cuz he literally just bought it at the Walmart I picked him up at. He went inside the broken rubble building and I left. I threw the hammer away at a fast food place before I went home in case he did something to it.I still drive for uber for extra cash aside of my regular job I searched in the search bar "uber horror stories" just to have a relevant topic to vent my story on lol if you read this far and endured my heartbreaking punctuation errors, cheers🍻

That’s why you now have to go through so many hoops to become an Uber driver and they insist that passengers verify the plate number before getting in/report drivers who show up in a different car than what is listed.

I had a cab that kept picking up/dropping off other fares for about an hour while we were in town, then wanted to charge me for _everywhere_ she had went!
Well, I feel that. Took a taxi once with a friend from a Hans Zimmer concert back to our hotel. There were lots of people also wanting a Taxi, so we took it as 4. The taxi driver missed our hotel and drove another 4 minutes or so and actually charged us as we didn't notice he took full price, even the extra 4 minutes. I said thst I will pay less and paid half the price, for my friend and me. Scariest thing were the two ladies in the backseat, not doing anything. I had to tell them to pay him so we could leave. They had an attitude, showing me that they expected me to pay for them.. strangers I had never seen before and never will again. World is a strange place.
I got a real scary one. One day I went to pick up an Uber customer. This was around the holidays so midway through the ride I started making small talk. I asked "are you doing anything this Christmas?" To which he replied "no I'm a Scientologist". Scariest moment of my life.
A flower could be scary. Think about this, a random man gives a random girl a flower and tells her it's just for her and tells her to smell it. She smells it and passes out because he sprayed chloroform in it! Then.... when the girl wakes up she realizes she is trapped in a white van and is now kidnapped........ (see it could be scary)

Just so people know, a knife is a very bad weapon to keep as self defense unless you know how to use it. When you don’t know how to use a knife it’s too likely that it could be used against you. As a general rule things like pepper spray are much wiser weapons of self defense for the untrained
Well yeah I figured that was common sense, but did u know that pepper isn't really that useful anyways, only stops an attacker for a couple of seconds if that, plus anyone can build an immunity to pepper spray, spray it in a closed room enough times while your in it, then it has no effect on you
Dark Claw it’s actually very very useful. a couple of seconds can mean anything, it can also deter an undetermined attacker. And just because you can build up resistance doesn’t mean anyone does. If you don’t like pepper spray there’s obviously other options, for example a taser. Downside of that is over the counter ones are close range. Or you could go for a stronger mace.
If he isn't facing you and he is driving? He can't do alot to hurt you. Just get your shoe string out... Say hey what's that over there then choke him untill he died... Which is very hard to do.
But then the driver wouldn't be able to drive, being too busy trying to loosen your grip on his throat. The car would swerve around uncontrollably before crashing into something. Sure, you'll kill him, but you'll only get yourself and most likely someone else hurt or dead as well.
No... It's human instinct to slam the brakes on.. I've seen it in simulations and have been in many of improvisation of vehicular escape tactics.. If somebody is choking me and I was driving I would slam into a low wall or something non deadly... If I was the attacker when I hit the wall.. I would immediately go for the gun.. Find a way to get the better position... He is most-likely wearing a seatbelt... Remember that.

I had a cab that kept picking up/dropping off other fares for about an hour while we were in town, then wanted to charge me for _everywhere_ she had went!
Well, I feel that. Took a taxi once with a friend from a Hans Zimmer concert back to our hotel. There were lots of people also wanting a Taxi, so we took it as 4.
The taxi driver missed our hotel and drove another 4 minutes or so and actually charged us as we didn't notice he took full price, even the extra 4 minutes. I said thst I will pay less and paid half the price, for my friend and me. Scariest thing were the two ladies in the backseat, not doing anything. I had to tell them to pay him so we could leave. They had an attitude, showing me that they expected me to pay for them.. strangers I had never seen before and never will again. World is a strange place.

Just so people know, a knife is a very bad weapon to keep as self defense unless you know how to use it. When you don’t know how to use a knife it’s too likely that it could be used against you. As a general rule things like pepper spray are much wiser weapons of self defense for the untrained

Well yeah I figured that was common sense, but did u know that pepper isn't really that useful anyways, only stops an attacker for a couple of seconds if that, plus anyone can build an immunity to pepper spray, spray it in a closed room enough times while your in it, then it has no effect on you

a couple of seconds can mean anything, it can also deter an undetermined attacker. And just because you can build up resistance doesn’t mean anyone does.
If you don’t like pepper spray there’s obviously other options, for example a taser. Downside of that is over the counter ones are close range. Or you could go for a stronger mace.

No... It's human instinct to slam the brakes on.. I've seen it in simulations and have been in many of improvisation of vehicular escape tactics.. If somebody is choking me and I was driving I would slam into a low wall or something non deadly... If I was the attacker when I hit the wall.. I would immediately go for the gun..
