Lowkey I feel so bad for the mom in the first story. People who go all out for halloween are so selfless and nice IMO, they spend so much time and money just to make kids they don’t even know happy, so her being sad that she won’t get to give most of it away makes me sad too
The homeless man should have grabbed some candy.
She could have given it to a children's hospital.
We always have the good stuff. And IF there's any left over - I try to do that, we send it to Operation Gratitude.
Sometimes I go the day after and grab extra at really good prices.
Along with some chap lips stuff, and hand lotions. It's all sent to service men and women as their treat 💖
I doubt she was doing it for the kids…more so the “competition”.

I kinda appreciate the dad in the first story for taking his sons words so seriously from the get go. A lot of stories like this one have the kids being brushed off as "just hearing things" until the intruder is staring them in the face, which always makes me mad. Like even if they end up being wrong, you literally have nothing to lose by double checking.
Yeah seems like everyone in the first story were pretty cool people. The mom seemed sweet, the kid seemed responsible. Even the homeless guy was all “sorry to barge in, I just needed some peanut butter and a place to sleep.” Hope he got the help he needed to get back on his feet.

Why "sweet"? She was competitive- she wanted to outdo her neighbors. Her motivation was not that she loved Halloween or that she wanted to make sure the neighborhood kids have a fun time. Not sure what part of the story illustrated her 'sweetness'

Dude (host) sees an adult stranger coming down the stairs while her 14 y/o sister is in her bedroom, and doesn't check on her until the party ends hours later. I call BS

That final story was genuinely terrifying and what made it worse for me is that James actually attempted to fight against the clown but ended up missing and falling down right at his feet. That guy was probably about to leave but he could’ve been armed and harmed him, and when the clown stared down at him, he could’ve stabbed James or even shot him before making a run for it. So it was a huge relief that the assailant decided it wasn’t worth it just in case the cops came, because that situation could’ve gone from bad to worse.
edit: edited this bc looking back on it, James wasn’t thinking right for not locking the door and attempting to attack the clown. Unless you’re backed into a corner and have no choice but to fight back, then it’s best to hide and/or quietly leave the situation. But he was understandably terrified for he and his girlfriend, so he wasn’t thinking clearly. I know we’re all kinda slam dunking this guy but we’d probably do the same if this happened to us.
The fact that he didn’t lock the door when he had the chance, or tried to be a hero then failed just made it seem like he was a character in a scary movie 😭

That was a little sweet of the parents from the first story, that they didn't press charges on the homeless man who simply wanted food & shelter🙏👍.
Yep people should never press charges on homeless people the man had no home no food and no place to sleep, breaks my heart a homeless person has no home or food or shelter

To be honest it’d have probably been better for him if they did, homeless people often get themselves arrested so they have somewhere to sleep it’s so sad he seemed harmless

I love the first person‘s mother. As someone whose mother never really celebrated things that much, but would do it because it would make me happy. Which don’t get me wrong I do appreciate and love, but I love how enthusiastic she is about Halloween because same and honestly we can bond over that.

It's truly heart-wrenching to think about the mother in the story. She put so much effort, time, and love into creating something special for the children in her neighborhood. Her dedication and selflessness are commendable, and it’s so sad that she won’t get to see the joy and excitement on their faces.
Imagine planning something so magical and not being able to share it. It’s a reminder of how much we sometimes take for granted the simple joys and connections in life. That was very nice of the clown guy in the last story to shut the door as he was running out from the cops. Stopped bugs and cold air from getting in. 😃👍
It feels so weird that I’ve even listening to Mr Nightmare since I was in my first year in middle school and now I’m in my first year of college :’)) it’s always nice to listen to these videos, feels very comforting to know that while everything in the world changes, Mr. Nightmare seems like a constant!

I like how the stories really shine during the month of the spooky season. The first story was handled pretty well. The second story tells us never have parties like that, especially when alcohol is involved. Some crazy person could waltz right in and who knows what could happen. The third story, that one shows to be scarier but if you are being followed by some creep in a clown mask. Then you know something isn't right. That creepy clown was probably a stalker. Since it was during the creepy clown epidemic. It's no wonder.

I've always held the belief that some people are just born for certain things. They just fit that role too perfect to be a coincidence. Like how some actors literally look like the character they portray as if they were born to play the character.
Mr. Nightmare is one such person, he has to have been born to tell scary stories, his voice is the perfect fit for that.
I will be 50 years old and still watching these videos in 30 years. Love the channel, been here since 2014

The 3rd story is absolutely crazy to me, how a 15 year old had the courage to go outside in the middle of the night during a power outage, and his girlfriend to follow him. But how he could also be stupid enough to not lock the back door when he knows a clown was chasing him, or to think it was a good idea to attack him with a beer bottle in the dark when police were literally at the house and the clown had no way of finding them in the dark. The whole time I was wondering where his parents were, and when he was gonna go get them… I guess this just shows how undeveloped kids brains still are, but I’m glad no one was hurt.

That trip at the end was too real. I was saved by my own terrible attempt at a punch one time. I had really bad anger problems in middle school, and a friend of mine said something that made me mad, then started laughing at me. This dude was twice my size, I threw a punch and it went wide waaay over his head 😂. This just made him laugh harder thankfully, I would have been thrashed by that guy

The last story reminds me of some funny thing that happened during the scary clown thing. I was dressed as Joker for Halloween carrying a crowbar in reference to him killing Robin when one of those clowns tried to attack me and my friend with a bladed object (I don’t remember too well because I was stoned) and I ended up beating him with a crowbar and he started crying because I broke his rib or something lol

My birthday is halloween and one thing i always look forward to is your videos, ive been watching for like 7 years and you make my days so much better. Thank you.
When I was a kid, Halloween was always a fun time for me and my brother.
We grew up in a small town in the very south of Georgia.
Our mom was a nurse for this nursing home and she was on the night shift and she worked many Halloween nights back then. So our dad would take us trick or treating in this neighborhood behind the courthouse because we knew many people who used to live in that area and it was one of the most safest areas to trick or treat.
We'd finish up by going to both our grandmother's house and great grandmother's house and they'd have a nice batch of candy and cookies.
Then sometimes, depending if my dad had the money, he'd either take us to get a cheeseburger or pizza cause we used to have a pizza Hut back then.
Then we'd go back home and our neighbor and his kids would come over and we'd have a little party and watch horror movies and eat our candy.
Halloween is still fun for me and my brother these days.
But not the same as it was before.
My brother has 3 kids and he'd ask me to come trick or treating with them and then do something afterwards.
I still enjoy Halloween to this day. It's still one of my favorite holidays next to Christmas, Easter and independence day.

Shocked dude in clown story didn't bother to text someone to make sure that their power had also gone out. That way they'd know whether there was a problem with the grid or someone had cut the power to his house, possibly as a trap to make him go outside

the last one mentioning how his legs felt numb due to the fear really struck me as something i feel like ppl dont mention or think about enough in crisis situations. like- we always think "this is what id do" when we hear about crazy stuff happening, but what our minds want us to do dont always align with how our bodies react to fear.
