  • ⚛️ Screen resolution is a simple concept, but when combined with the myriad ways that Windows can be configured, it can be tricky to understand how it works.
    ⚛️ Screen resolution
Your display will be at it’s clearest if you let Windows use the full/maximum resolution available from your display screen. Use Windows “scaling” to make things larger if you need. There are other approaches to scaling and stretching, but they involve compromise and lower quality results.

Why "Scaling" by Windows does not result in text becoming less sharp ? My understanding is that Scaling is kinda stretching only, so it should result in less sharp text and image? But it seems the text remains as sharp as hd resolution . How does that work ??

I believe it a function of both the scaling algorithm used, as well as the characteristics of TrueType (and perhaps other) fonts.
