Great song, the soul stirrers were definitely the premier gospel group. They had a lot of great lead singers, Sam Cooke was my favorite, RH Harris, Johnny Taylor and of course jimmy outler 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
Jimmy outlet on lead. I was happy to meet some of the soul stirrers. I met j.j. Farley, Willie rogers, martin jacox, and Eddie Huffman, also, some of the other guys. I only wish I could have met the greatest soul stirrer of them all. Sam Cooke.
Too bad Jimmy Outlet was such a troubled soul. He had one of the great old time gospel tenor voices and could have been one of the greatest to do it but he chose a life of crime and an early death instead.
Wow! Lovely voices blended together i love ii i have not heard from the soul stirrets for a long while but it brings such a Spiritual uplifting to my soul'also the voice of the late Sam Cooke i remember playing his songs on an album in my home.
