This lineup of the Soul Stirrers released a live album in 1990 where the Crume Brothers with James and Frank Davis and one gentleman whose name I've forgotten performed the classic Stirrers songs quite well The Crume brother that recorded with the Stirrers in the late 50's was Leroy
All of them could sing!!!! Even the covers of Sam’s lead vocals are still phenomenal. That’s a sign of a truly God gifted group of singers/musicians.

I can't help but to think about Sam Cooke when I see or hear this group sings. Although I was born exactly 1month and 7 days after Sam's death, I have learned so much about him and have become to love him dearly. This new brother, Arthur Crume, sings very well and sounds so much like Sam. I wish I can meet this Christian singing group in person on day soon. I just love them! Never can stop listening to them. The Crumes brothers are so talented and great musicians. Mr. Arthur Crume, I loved your book. “The Perfect Song”. Is the younger gentleman singing the lead related to the Crumes? He has a very melodic heavenly voice.
The Soul Stirrers managed to maintain a top-notch level no matter the lineup but the Crume era is my pick of the bunch. I might be fooled but they seem to be nice people, too.
@@IsaacNussbaum I concur. Soul Stirrers have always sounded and still sound so great and are top notch regardless of the changes of members. They were before my time back with Sam Cooke, Jimmy Outler, R.H. Harris, and others, but I've always loved every single one of their singing and music and gives me that old school gospel righteous feeling.
One thing I can say by the Soul Stirrers they knew how to draw their crowds as long it was a voice that sound like Mr. Sam Cooke they knew their records would sell Mr. Johnnie Taylor and Mr. Arthur Crume was the best of the best but Mr.Cooke was the real deal Long live the Soul Stirrers 4ever

Not a bad effort. If that young man could put a little growl and stink on the higher notes he could actually be considered a very adequate reminder fuller of the late great Sam Cooke. But just adequate for now. He has a great voice.
