I like your 3-try rule. I'm going to try using that when I'm progressing. (It's so hard to get back to jumping / drops after a bad crash) I need people to ride with...
Very nice! well done, April! I like the way you presented the video, talking about the various stages of preparation and attempts before committing and actually doing it. Cheers
This was just awesome! And so relatable. We ALL struggle with certain features. This motivates me to take your advice and hit the things that I know I'm ready for and have the skill. And I like the 3 try rule also. No need to fail 50 times in one day, right? If I'm not hitting it in 3 tries, then I'm not in the right headspace. There is a creek jump that has been on my to-do list for a year. Hopefully this helps me get that one sent and checked off the list.
Omg this vid was so good such unique content. I love the perspective and I don't think there's anything else quite like this out there on YT. It felt so real. It's so much more relatable when learning from non former pro riders turned youtuber. Loved it.
That was so goood!! And then you did the whole line non-stop. I like the tips you listed. I’m going to try and use them to clear some much smaller jumps I’ve been working on. Thx for sharing!
That looks terrifying! LOL Great jump and video, April. Hey, maybe you could also talk about and demonstrate: body position, pre-load, gear, etc for your next video (or even when you make jumps in future videos). Keep being awesome!
Thanks for the suggestion’s! Maybe as I get better I’ll be able to talk about positioning. It’s honestly hard enough to film anything while trying to tackle something your scared of in real time haha But for gear I always wear knee pads (side note- I’m working on a knee pad review now for Jenson USA’s RUclips), I obviously wore a full face and wear one most of the time riding and this time I chose to wear a d30 chest protector underneath my shirt. I do need to make a video on what gear I wear soon!
@@AprilRideMTB I'm glad you included all this info in the reply. That will definitely be something for all us to be on the look out for! (Make sure you include those Amazon Associate links to any gear you mention!) Keep challenging yourself - You're doing amazing things!
That's such a sick line April. Gonna take my 4 and 9 year old to Eagle tomorrow. Gonna start at the bottom with those little table tops and work up from there. I'm working hard on getting myself to the next level. Doing it all on that hard tail. See you at the park and keep on crushing it. You just have to put it in your head and charge.
That is a biggin!! How do land with the bike at the same angle as the landing? Does the lip kick you into that front wheel down angle or do you push the bars down?
I think it’s just physics, as long as you have proper form and timing with your pop. A dead sailor with stiff legs or late timing will bring the nose down too much and I’m not completely sure what makes you land back wheel first, maybe just sitting too far back and being off on timing of your pop as well.

I always wear knee guards and I only wear elbow pads when I have more fear on trying something new, like a new wall ride that you are more likely to slide on if things go wrong.
@@AprilRideMTB I am glad you wear knee pads. You are a nice lady and I would hate to see you hurt. I am also glad to see you wear a full face helmet. In the early 1970s I high sided at 180 mph during a road race and landed chest and face first. Back then many racers wore 3/4 helmets. I was glad I had a full face helmet on otherwise I would have had catastrophic face injuries.
Yo April, thanks for the tips. Im still working on the FLOW trail at E.B.P I appreicate the tips on your process "you bring about what you think about" so the mental work is so important :)
Great mental set up! Taking this with me to clear some new gaps!
You make it look sssssooooo smooth & easy...🤙🏻

Wow you´ve progressed sooo much April! I am so happy for you!!!
That’s what’s up!! That jump is no joke 👊👊
Eagle Bike Park is so amazing. Thanks for this video! Still learning how to jump but you break it down really well!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So impressive, I think your process is excellent & the 3 try rule makes absolute sense. Thanks April.
Oh my days, you are amazing! Well done 💪💪💪
Not only did you clean it, but you did it with style. Extremely well done and deserving of all the praise here.
That stressed ME out! Awesome accomplishment.
Thank you!

Very cool!
Congrats. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Awesome April 🤩🤘🔥
That looked good
Awesome video April! Hey, more eMoto content please!!!!
So cool
Awsome April...❤
Beatiful lady flying. Good job.
It's so insane that these kind of parks are just out there for anyone to use.
Some aren't parks, just jumps people build.
I’m so grateful to have this park near me!
Hell yeah🤘
Siiick!!!!
Super Rad!
lovely
I ride up there several times a week. I can't do any of that. 🙂
Badass
I wish you would wear a Leatt neck brace. Saved my butt.

@@AprilRideMTB Thanks
I have a new goal now 😂
Smoov! Congrats. Those steep lips are a different breed. Or maybe that's just in my head.
They are different! Haha
what is a good budget starter bike i just started and my bike is bad, like BAD
You did great!
Doesn't anyone wear elbow and knee pads anymore?
I always wear knee guards and I only wear elbow pads when I have more fear on trying something new, like a new wall ride that you are more likely to slide on if things go wrong.

Good job, but I definitely wouldn't want to do it with an camera mounted ridiculously on the face guard.
The things I do for you guys haha
@@AprilRideMTB A camera to the throat isn't worth it. It's not like we want you to get hurt. Please mount the camera on top of the helmet like normal.
