The original Dead Rising is the reason I upgraded my CRT TV to an HD one.

RE7 brought the RE franchise back into the scary part of Survival Horror, where as RE8 imo immediately ripped us out and threw us into a First Person version of RE4-RE6. Sure RE8 has some cool things in it, but so did RE6, but overall RE6 turned into a smorgishborg of just absolute nonsense and constant unorginized Chaos where as at least RE8 was orginized and it was one character not 3 + the AI companions. Overall after playing RE8 for about 2-3 months trying to get a good feel for it, I honestly haven't touched it since it first launched, it's not interesting enough for me, and I honestly hate Ethan Winters, that saga is just so... stupid..
im gonna be brutally honest, what capcom did with dead rising remaster is what they should've done with RE2 and RE3 remake. hell what they did with the OG RE Remake. buffed the graphics to 11 and added a few new puzzles and rooms, and called it a day. i wouldve been far far happier with that or even just this graphic rework
I think it’s a possibility down the road that they do just that.
I trust Capcom’s modern devs to make Dead Rising games. They know what made Dragon’s Dogma good, but are not afraid to update the games even when the fanbase pretends Dead Rising games are the most intense roguelikes. And the budget to this remakester does Dead Rising current gen justice
Wait, I’m assuming a different crew put together RE7 vs 8? Cause though Village had good parts, in my eyes, it was RE6 all over again. Compared to 7, it lacked focus and was incoherent plot wise, even by RE standards.
From my understanding yeah it was two different teams handling those games.
I’m glad peak Capcom is growing. This feels like the PS3 days where Dead Rising and Resident Evil were allowed to co-exist. Marvel vs Capcom is back alongside Dragon’s Dogma YUSSSS
