I swear after sins the screams from the crowd were so loud that I actually couldn’t hear for a couple of seconds. Never experienced something like that before but it was amazing
I like "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off." There's just something poetically masculine about it while retaining that cursed carnie theme.
When that album came out my oldest was about 12 years old. For my birthday he asked his friend to burn the CD for him because he didn't have any money & didn't want to ask me for the money so he could surprise me with it for my birthday that year. I think of him every time I hear any of their songs. He died last November. He was only 25 years old. Those songs from that album have a different meaning for me now than they did back then. If I didn't have other children who need me I'm positive I'd have checked out after his funeral.
I was 5 years old when “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” released, and it was the first album i ever loved in my entire life. My favorite song was always “I Constantly Pray for Esteban” but the entire album has always struck me for some reason. I think it’s the atmosphere of it, it makes you feel like you’re in a masquerade. Like, just imagine being a 5 year old kid listening to such intellectual music. It truly is a time i won’t ever get to relive again, and i would do anything to go back to the mid 2000s
I'm so jealous of his hair, it'll be styled, and when he moves it'll bounce around but then go right back into place. It really is like it has its own personality.
His hair is fake. He’s been bald for a long time. He most likely got some kind of hair plug surgery or something like that. You want to see some real hair and whose hair actually lives up to that comment instead? DAVID LYNCH
I kinda have this type of hair. But it kinda annoys me, because if you dry it wrong, you can't restyle them with hairbrush or anything, you will need to rewash it, but if made right it's magnificent. It looks especially good, when you dance to EDM or just move your head around
i went to a show in vegas last year and it was the best experience of my life. the crowd had a lot of young faces like teens and their parents and it just made my heart so happy. to know that the newer generation appreciates the same music i did at their age, like it’s timeless.
I mean legendary bands in their genres are gonna be able to do that. That’s why bands like Queen, Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson get new fans everyday. The music is classic and timeless.
OMG I just listened to I write sins not tragedies by him I'm glad I can be the younger generation to carry this song along for the next generation to let him live on and hope and pray for it to continue to be heard by younger fans!
I totally agree with this! I introduced my teenage daughters who weren’t even alive when it came out to panic! I was listening to I write sins not tragedies in the car one day and now I hear them listening to and singing along to all of the panic! Songs as if they were brand new. It’s great
@@propogandalf well, the last album was amazing, just very much 70s rock style, so it's not for everybody. it was the most critcally aclaimed album btw, just the public reviews were pretty negative.
not rlly, if ryan ross stayed and continued with his beatles style then panic wouldve died. theres a reason pretty odd is the least played album. as much of a great songwriter ryan is, the style he wanted to go in didnt fit the original style of afycso. after the split it went uphill successwise, death of the bachelour being a great album as well as high hopes being the most streamed. it absolutely didnt go downhill.@@youresooolastsummer
@@ForeFX but there’s still so many people who love pretty odds style today even if they kept going with that style they would still have a bunch of fans also i think the newer stuff is a lot worse than the older stuff
I listened to that song as a kid, teenager and now a 27 year old adult. That’s probably the song that got me interested in alternative music, and subsequently Rock, metal, etc
I found ballad of Mona Lisa about 3 months ago and it's probably my literal favorite song now and every time I listen to it it just gets better and better
when this song came out i wasnt even alive and one time my mom played for me bit that long ago actually and its fr so good 👍 love rediscovering old songs 😂
I never actually watched an interview of him or let alone heard him speak. He sounds so genuine and friendly and I love how he explained the song getting even better with time. Such a great way of putting it cause this is how I feel with a lot of my fave songs. the meaning for me always changes throughout my life experiences and just getting older ❤️
I didn’t know it would be p!atd’s last tour and I bought tickets very last minute while I was at work and left early to go. So thankful I did, it was such a wonderful experience and hearing Brendon live was such a dream!! Hearing the older songs live made me cry😭😭
I was obsessed with the first album when it came out. I also listened to Fall Out Boy. But then I stopped listening and grew older. Years later, I'm at a show with my daughter. I had fun despite the screaming. Even later, I'm playing Frank Sinatra in the living room and my daughter knows all the words because of Brendan Urie. Wild.
I hear his singing voice in his speaking voice. It's only interesting to me because he's such a good singer. Usually singers who go all out sound so different whenever they talk.
My daughter grew up listening to you I just started listening to you in the last couple of years am IA10-year-old granddaughter loves your stuff Multi-generational baby
It's crzy I first listened to panic at the disco when I was in 6th grade I think and tht song was the first one I listened to, it rocks. Now ppl don't know they older music tht the band used to play

He just makes SO MANY great songs and this (plus House Of Memories, High Hopes and Hey Look Ma, I Made It) is just kinda the only song people actually know this band with. Kinda unfair
Ikr, the radio plays God dam high hopes over songs like Collarfull, but it's better if u do, say it louder, death of a bachelor, green gentleman etc. Like bruh,
And this RUclips short tries to prey on such fans with a false news title perpetuating an incorrect rumor so that the fans will click, horrified why Brendon might hate their favorite song. Great work guys.
I was a young mom who blasted their music as my kids were growing up and they fell in love with it too. You bet your ass their kids will listen to them also!
Im 13 and a few years ago i remember always listening to stuff like "high hopes" or "house of memories" and all the newer stuff but now i discovered his old songs and listen to them everyday instead of the new ones that i would listen to when i was younger🤔
A fever you can’t sweat out is one of the only albums in my 33 years of existence that I know word for word track for track. I had it on music video on psp for IWSNT. This and From Under the Cork tree are big influences on my musical tastes
even if he did hate it i can completely understand. It's the ONE song that even if you don't know much about the band, you know that one song. Like Nickelback with photograph or My Chemical Romance Black Parade.
Being a teenager when their first album came out, geez such great times bavk then and everytime I listen to the first 2 albums it takes me back! Old panic hits different I swear
The nostalgia every time I listen to a fever you can’t sweat out KILLS ME
Old panic is panic. Seriously was never the same for me once they split.
because ryan ross
everything went downhill once brendan was the only member left 😭

It hit different at their last show, the whole crowd signing along. It was magic
