Greetings from Scotland! OK, fun fact - Diana wasn't really "there" when she sang this! She wasn't feeling to good before this performance and she said she decided to allow the song to take over her body and soul! She remembers very little of the performance or afterwards, until she was sat with her fellow contestants again! Look at her facial and body language, especially those incredible eyes! That ain't young, shy Diana! She often allows this incredible phenomenon to happen when she sings very deep emotional songs. She spoke about it in an interview before a concert and on a Q&A session. This can be likened to an actor "Getting into their character" where you "live" the character. Diana is well known for "becoming" the song she sings. She lives the pain and the emotion as if it were her own pain and emotion. You'll see many examples of this as you really get to know Diana. I honestly envy you your special journey of discovery with Diana! Enjoy! Great reaction again Guys!

From the competition show “You Are Super,” her rendition of the folk song Rechenka is utterly transcendent- One of the greatest single live performances ever caught on film.

This is also from the new TV show in Russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well known artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. November 2021. The 9 artists are also the judges for the other singer. And Diana (18 yo) won the overall competition of which Diana won 4 and took 2nd place once. She shocked the other singers with the first song. The Crow was her masterpiece in this competition, in my opinion. The judge who stands up is the great opera singer Yusif Eyvazov and the husband of Anna Netrebko, who is world famous. He's very impressed.

Hi guys! I was going to write anyway. As an old, old rocker in the modern pop scene, there is little that surprises me, but these two unique people - Dimash and Diana get goosebumps. I'm starting to believe in magic and sorcery. Diana has several stages: 1. Regional competitions of performers from 7-12 years old (I recommend a miracle in 10 years - a Beatles cover). 2 All-Russian project "Voice kids" 13 years old - a girl with a great yodel did not pass the blind auditions, but her performance got into the top 5 of the Global The Voice Kids (these are the judges in Russia), 3. Thanks for your reaction. It's always nice to see you guys really appreciating the music. Anyone who says Diana doesn't use backing tracks probably doesn't know what a backing track is. They may be confusing it with lip synching. She uses backing tracks all the time since she doesn't have a band. Over the years, numerous reactors have wondered how she created an unusual effect with her voice because they wouldn't acknowledge the background vocals in the backing track. There is no shame in working with backing tracks; it allows artists to perform on much lower budgets.

Yes in this show, there were of course backing vocals and reverb but not when she sang "Can't Help Falling In love". She hides nothing in her interviews.

About this Show:
Diana was currently participating in a very ambitious NTV show "ShowMaskGoon" ("Шоумаскгоон") shot in Mosfilms studios with Virtual Reality sets. The sound was recorded live.
Why "ShowMaskGoon"?: The NTV channel produces 3 other singing competition shows (You are Super ", The Mask" and "SuperStar") the winners of these three shows participate in "ShowMaskGoon which is a kind of superfinal which premiered this year (" Mask "because of the second one)
The principle was as follows: there was 9 permanent participants who are both judges and competitors. Everyone had to perform in 9 predefined styles or categories, changing each time in each of the 9 parts of the show. It was very interesting because the candidates had to get out of their usual repertoire. To the 9 judges / candidates is added a different guest each week who also votes, because the artist who is on stage does not vote. They all have points from 2 to 9 to be distributed according to their assessment of the performance.
The 9 categories were:
"Song from a movie or cartoon"
"Rock hit"
"New music"
"Song of the late twentieth century"
"People are moved" (moving song)
"Soviet song"
"Pop hit"
"Grammy"
"Song of your choice"

I wrote this presentation to help new the reactors:
Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana is an unique contralto (dramatic contralto) her comfort range is C3-C6 but in constant evolution. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from lyric chant....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is multitonal (polyphonic) voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya (ruclips.net/user/OlegSemyonov73videos), the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6!
She has become famous in the broadcast "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.
In her shows, Diana participates in the direction, direction and arrangements of her performances. She is a complete artist.
In addition, until the recent past her costumes were often designed and sewn by her mother and grandmother since she was 5.

In this series they had a genre show s for them each week except one week they got to choose their own and this was her choice. So that's pretty cool, great job guys.
If you want to be blown away Rechenka is the one to do it. She does sing it in her native tounge but that simply doesn't matter. Even if you don't turn on closed captioning it will still give you goose bumps. I believe it's better to just take it in without cc so your not distracted. If anything look up and read the lyrics pryor to doing you reaction.
Rechenka was my first introduction to her and It's my favorite from her overall.
Diana is polyphonic and sings overtones , so if you are hearing extra tones etc. that is usually all Diana .

You should always be aware that the "ShowMustGoOn" performances often used backing tracks with pre-recorded vocals.
Sometimes by Diana and sometimes by other singers.
Diana explained this herself in a Q&A, for example in the song "Crow" a male guy sings these short low notes.
Diana is really great. But even she can't do anything impossible with her voice at a live performance.
That doesn't take Diana's greatness and class at all.

Diana herself answers a question about the backing vocals. For example, she says that the low notes in the song "Crow" were sung by "Vlad", a male backing singer.
