It's almost it's own damn game at this point. I sincerely hope we get a port of some kind of this content over into Arma Reforger or whenever Arma 4 releases, maybe it's a part of their plan?
They fixed the embassy! Awesome of them to do that. Hope they also add the presidential palace (don’t remember seeing it first time I played) so I can recreate RS2’s Saigon map.
I think I will have to get back into Arma 3 and get this DLC. The attention to detail in this mod is so impressive. My concern is that my skill level is low, so I hope there are servers that can accommodate this, whilst also allowing the chance to still play tactically.

I’d love to see fac (forward air control) plains, imagine circling a downed Huey waiting for a jolly green, directing danger close phantom strikes, doing gun runs in a ov10 firing wp and flachets
Heyy great video man..i think good addition in my opinion for future updates would be the addition of jungle booby traps, such as bamboo whips, snake pits, pressure release etc lol that would make jungle battles even more difficult while navigating through thick brush for either side 😎🎮

the RVN marines wear a green beret not red, that's airborne. This is probably the first game that features the RLA and pathet lao that would be cool if they added the Cambodian FANK, they had weapons from France, America, Soviet, Chinese all blended in one team
As far as I can tell the Mike force game mode currently only has you on the side of the US/ARVN/ANZAC (hopefully we'll get a flipped version though because playing as the Vietcong would be funni). Although I'm sure there's arma units that can put you in the shoes of the communist forces, the assets are all there and both sides are almost equally fleshed out when it comes to weapons/vehicles/clothing/ETC.
they lean pretty heavily towards the ally side and I wouldn't be surprised if their various vietnam vet advisors would back out or at least become very unhappy if they let players kill americans or show the other side in too positive light
@@Ltblitzful that’s not actually a reason. The vets respect the NVA a lot. Check out the singleplayer mission The Village for some VC action. We only focused on SOG because that was our design focus of the dlc. Any community mission designer can make an opfor mission, and some have been made on steam recently.

@@sheeplord4976 Wrong. The F100 was never seen as a "good dogfighter" and was primarily used for ground attack in Vietnam. In fact no air to air kill was ever officially even credited to the F100. Gets your facts straight before posting BS.
Then it wouldnt be sog! You can play a lot of SP missions made by the community or yourself in the editor dont forget. 8 MP campaign missions are just a tiny part of this dlc.

Vympel k-13 was literally a copy of the AIM-9 after the soviets pulled a dud out of the side of a mig-17, so closely copied parts were interchangeable "missiles captured by NATO forces showed that parts from an AIM-9 could be interchanged with parts from an AA-2 and either combination would still work."

Its probably my favorite building asset in all of Arma

Lot's of servers in the community that will guide you and such. A lot of us aren't anal about being hardcore. We still wanna enjoy the game.

Can you play as NLF/PAVN or do you only play as the US/ARVN and their friends?

It is because the F-100 and MiG-19 were seen as counterparts. Both very good dogfighters with a max speed just above mach 1.

Naw, it's the Vympels, if you look they just look a lot like AIM-9s. (coincidence?????????!!!!!)
