    Axiom: A Statement that is taken to be true. This film is more intelligent than I thought. Everybody on the Axiom was told what they should know not what they can discover.

    Came from your Encanto movie. My favorite fan theory about Wall-E is that he started to gain sentience because sorting the trash based on what it was helped him do his job more effectively and his curiosity stemmed from that

    Absolutely loooove this movie. It has so much depth.
    I remember when I first watched this, I imagined businesses/corporations like Wal-Mart or Amazon being like B&L. While they are convenient, we should always support small businesses and variety. It’s wouldn’t be a good idea to allow one corporation to own, make, and run everything. Even the ships and robots were all made by B&L. If you notice, the president of the planet was also the CEO of B&L.
    Not long after this movie came out, we had the CEO’s of Amazon and Tesla creating their own space exploration ships. Talk about foreshadowing..... and not in a good way. 😱

    Books on the other hand. It is all left to my imagination to interpret, fill in, and mentally animate and dialogue for me which makes it infinitely easier for my subconscious to connect events from my own life which let's me get emotionally attached.

    You talked about “bad robots”, but… actually there aren’t bad robots! At some movies, yes, we see robots BECOMING bad, because of some way of “evolution” of their programming that bring them to act against humans (Terminator, 2001: Space Odyssey, I, Robot); here in Wall-E the robots that become “malfunctioning”, just like Wall-E, the result of developing a personality, and that’s what made Wall-E to survive on earth and being the only one operating robot; that things that made him to develop a personality throug hundreds of years he was there (remember, he was put there to clean, the humans would leave earth for maybe 5 years, when they could expect earth to be habitable, but it didn’t and the robots kept doing their job, that’s why we see huge piles, the size of skyscrapers, of trash, and through that time they went degrading and failing, but Wall-E developed that personality that both gave him those human-like emotions, curiosity (that’s why he collected certain thing that seemed interesting for him), but also learned to have a survival instinct, so he used all of the peaces of the other robots to keep him working.
    Now, the “bad robots” where actually PERFECTLY FUNCIONAL robots that were just following the very same instructions the humans gave him, those that programmed them, only thing is that those were gone centuries ago, they were just following the instructions the president of B&L gave them, so it’s much more optimistic on that part, about robots not truly becoming the enemy, but actually when developing that personality (a malfunction), they become more humans, they develop emotions similar to humans, and yes, with that free will, they need to act against those robots that are just doing exactly what they were supposed to do., so they were, actually, still being the reflection of human mistakes. All of the robot friends and “partners in crime” robots where malfunctioning rogue robots!

    • @thosesiblingss
      @thosesiblingss  2 года назад

      Wow! I absolutely love this take, and its positive implications 😁
      Really nice!!
      The clever part of it, being the fact that the malfunctioning caused emotion, and therefore humanity...
      Brilliant ☺️

    • @oscarexcan
      @oscarexcan 2 года назад

      @@thosesiblingss and even at some stories like those I mentioned: yes, the “bad robots” became bad because of taking things on their own, like at I, Robot, BUT because of actually making a reinterpretation of the very same rules they must obey, those that they reinterpreted as: if we must take care of humans but they’re dangerous to themselves, we must protect them from themselves”, something they distorted, bug from rules the very same humans gave them, and that’s the reason for Sony, the rebel one, to be the one that didn’t fell into that because both he doesn’t have to follow those rules and he’s got a bigger liberty, free will since he doesn’t has to follow orders. So he can also learn about being human since he experiments that capacity of free will, and that brought him to have a human-like consciousness, based on those emotions and feelings of liberty, free will, but not by rules.
