They're not meant for your hair but their called pipe cleaners and you can find them at your local walmart in the arts and crafts aisle. Or your local dollar store.

@@stephongrowingup6073 well kinda but there needs to be a different rod for a complete smooth curl with no fish hooks. That would make it look more like an Afro and not damaged hair. Also, I would bring the rods lower on the sides and then cut because the straight hair next to the curly hair is unnatural.

Tell the stylist to use the smallest perm rod, it will be really curly too.

You have to check every 10 to 15 mins, until the hair if fully soften, then raise out the solution, then neutralize it for 20 minutes.
