Hi this ia Hippie Buddha. I am Korean also i work in LA too. Thanks dear friend. Many black friends say "hate us" they have to learn how to love themselves.
You are 100 percent correct. If other races are recreating our kinky hair textures, then we should rock them with pride. We were born with it. We shouldn't allow anyone to make us feel ashamed of our hair. Personally as a black African, Nigerian to be exact I've never been ashamed of my hair. But it saddens me to see black Americans ashamed of their hair. Thanks for making this video. I'd heard of the trend but didn't believe it. Now I do. You're so talented. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work. It's nice to see someone doing his job passionately.
I dont see this as cultural appropriation, the many times black women straightened their hair or wore straight hair wig and wore lashes that makes them look asian, wore traditional asian attire. We was cool with it, we wasnt trippin, so having this haircut is pretty cool.
That’s different from the Asian changing their hair to Afro hair, women straighten their hair because it’s difficult to find jobs or they could be fired for wearing their natural hair, Asians usually don’t like black people yet decide to have our hair I don’t personally have a problem with it as long as they’re not gonna be racist to us while wearing our hair
