I remember her being on your desk in older videos! Her puppy bed seems to be the perfect spot for her now ❤ Still nice and close by mama. I have a couple beds under my desk and one of them has a blanket, that is my little chihuahua Mario's bed. If I am at my desk, and not holding him, he is in that blanket 🥰 Loved walking around the Parlor with you, I hope you have a good rest and a good day!

Only a couple of days ago after your video I looked up the definition of parlor, as we don't have them here. Great to see your tour of your parlor so it makes more sense. My Mum's Chihuahua also has a sensitive tummy & gets cold & hot easily. Hers also loves to be held as much as possible. Your parlor is a great room to crochet in. I have a set of patterns to crochet the carebears that I have never tried out. I think it was the first pattern I ever paid for. I remember feeling very intimidated. 😊

What a great space, I always wondered the difference between the parlor and the living room. Very comfortable space with lots of memories I'm sure. I just returned from 3 weeks in Pennsylvania. Prayers, love and hugs my very dear friend. 🙏💛🤗
That's a very charming Southern Parlour. It's inviting. I miss my husband. I always met him at the back door when he came in from work. He would give me a kiss and a big hug.

My chihuahua doesn't like covering up under blankets, she prefers to lay on them. If she gets under one, you know its cold outside. She rarely leaves my side for anything.
Phoebe looks so cute in her blanket ❤ I had Chihuahua’s (two neutered brothers) they lived a long good life. I miss them 🥰 one was called “Cappy” short for Captain Butterbean 😂 The other was Tye Tye…short for Buzz fly Tye. 🤣 they were special boys who were very friendly to everyone. They slept together in a X-large crate (so they could stretch out ) with pillows, luxurious condo 😉 I would say go potty and get in your bed. They would go out their doggy door (secure yard) and come back in and get in their bed. If Cappy didn’t go in first, he wouldn’t go in if Tye was already in there, I would have to go get Tye out and then Cappy would run in the crate 🤣😂🤣 it was hilarious 😆 like little kids! Thought you would enjoy my story ☺️ I always enjoy yours 🥰
Hi Kayla! I just LOVE your parlor. What a cozy place to be. Phoebe is just an absolute doll and as you know I have a chihuahua also named Emily. They sure are sweet little dogs. (when they're not being sassy lol). Your cats are also so cute. Hmmmm........ I got to thinking since you mentioned that nobody sits in the "living room" that you might have to make that a place for your crafts and supplies also! LOL LOL LOL. A lot of people aren't familiar with that formal word (parlor) for front room of the house. Thanks for explaining to those who didn't know or forgot that term, since at least in my area, it's not a word that's used in real estate jargon. Thanks for another tour of it! I showed my husband the piano portion. So he could see how Sassy comes to you AS SOON as you called her!!! Even Sissy came but after a few seconds. My cats NEVER come when called, even for food! They're like, 'it's just mamma calling. I'm gonna stay put and nap a little longer.' LOL!!

I always called ours the formal living room and loved to sit and read in there.

Phoebe is such a sweetheart! I can so relate to how she demands the things she wants. My two chihuahuas are the same way. My Wally will stand on our fireplace hearth, when there’s a roaring fire, to warm himself. I don’t know how he can stand there so long!

Hi Kayla, that looks like a good girls Parlor. I grew up in a neighborhood, where lots of homes had parlors. That's what we always called the front room. I have a little doggy baby, and she wears a sweater all year round, because not only does she want to be warm, and buried in her blanket, but the sweater works as a security sweater...like a weighted sweater. Once in a while I either take it off if I think it is warm, or we change the sweater, and she always wants it back on. :) Also, the yarn is like people that collect fabric to look at. I use to collect fabric. Now I collect yarn.

My favorite part is that big daddy comes in the house gives you a kiss then you'll have a conversation. Loved seeing all the fur babies, Pheobe wrapped up in her blanket might be the cutest thing ever. Love you guys ❤
Don't worry about what others may or may not think about you having several different spaces in your house that you use for crafting. :) Didn't intend that to sound like an order! LOL But, we have 4 bedrooms. Hubby has an office, I have a sewing/crochet/craft room and a doll room where I make my reborn dolls. I have a LOT of baby clothes in that closet, blankets, etc. We have the master for us of course. So, I like to say that there is no room for any of our children to come home and stay! LOL Of course, things could be rearranged (not sure how) if they did need a space here. I like your rooms. I especially like the bench and how Big Daddy comes in and sits and talks to you. That is so sweet. Phoebe -- sweet little Phoebe. I am wondering if the AC makes it too cool for her there by the window? I know she has her blanket and such. I love how she tells you she wants to have the heater on! Yes, Chihuahuas are known for being cold natured. Thanks for sharing everything, Kayla. Nope -- not judging anything about you. :)
I do crafts in any part of the house that I want to . Where I do crafts in MY house is MY business and no one else’s. Don’t mean to sound hateful but people are so critical when they really shouldn’t be. We should just be happy for what we have and happy for what others have

My baby chihuahua has lived a cover all her 13 years beside me in a chair until last year. Now, I live in my bedroom in my bed. I have @ degenerative spine in three places. No knees total degeneration. I’d love your piano. I’ve never been able to afford one. Love your videos 😊

I love that you call it the parlor. When I was a kid, we called our room like that the reception hall, which usually got shortened to "the hall". You brought back a memory that I hadn't thought about. I like how you named your yarns "floppies". I saw a 1st place blue ribbon, what was that for? Thank you so much for showing us your special room.

I think a parlor must be a southern thing. We called our living room the parlor since it was the front room of the house, and we used it as our dating room when I was a teenager. I had 3 sisters, but only a couple of us were really dating at the same time, and the parlor was the room where we would watch TV with our boyfriends without having our sisters and parents in there. When I went to college (Furman University in Greenville, SC), we had large beautiful parlors with love seats and sofas and coffee tables with crystal chandeliers where we could meet up with boyfriends since the dorms were not co-ed at that point, and dorms were only open to the opposite sex on certain days for certain hours with RA's (Resident Advisors) on duty. I have no idea if it's anything like that any more. I have been back to the campus which has changed a lot, but I haven't been back in the dormitories to know if they still have the parlors or not. It brought back fond memories, though, while seeing yours and hearing you call it the parlor :) Hugs & blessings!

Cute kitties. I csan't have a cat so I have to be satisfied with pics usually from my old calendars. I viewed one of your older vlogs and looked up the Raynaud's Association to get more info. The people interviewed had attacks regularly and the wierd black and blue or even white fingers clear up after the attack is over. The site says to keep warm and there's other things one can do to relieve symptoms. I'm praying you'll not have any more attacks and keep those fingers even if you do if you can just weather the storm untill it's over! The chills you were having are some of the symptoms since the condition deals with the circulation. I have some of the same with my nerves with MS and it's extremely annoying!! Thanks for the tour but I want to see the yarn room. I don't have that, wish I did.

Thank you for showing us your parlor, I love it! Our house though old doesn't have one. I have three crochet stations, one upstairs in the guest room which I can only use in fall and winter when the heat is on. Spring and summer are too hot for me upstairs ( metal roof) then I stay downstairs in our living room which has thick stonewalls and stays nice and cool. The third one is in my bedroom I love to sit on my bed and crochet very early in the morning or late night...🧶🧶🧶
Maybe one day I'll have a yarn area separate from the living space

thank you for sharing your home with us. It does look comfortable. I love your babies. We have a kitten, well actually he will be a year old in October and we bottle fed him when he was about 2 weeks old. He think he is the king, lol. We also love dogs but don't have one at this time. I have a room that I call the craft room where I have my yarn and watch you tube. I am also a woodcarver so I do my carving in that room as well.
My chihuahua was the same way. Loved to be wrapped up. I love your area and the cakes are awesome!
