When I realized today was 5 years from my 1st finger amputation I felt like I should do a video. I'm so glad I did, not only to bring awareness to Raynaud's but to help anyone going through this horrible adventure to know they are not alone. The video has been up about 2 hours and I have already received messages and pictures from others being affected by Raynaud's. One lady is scared and doesn't know what is going to happen to her finger. I remember being right there where she is tonight. So glad she saw this video and reached out to me to ask questions and talk.
I so amazed by you will power to keep doing what you love to to and i was like what she loom knits with 5 fingers i cant with ten my hat is off to you your so amazing i am glad i found you
God bless you kiddo. You are amazing!!! Keep up the beautiful work you're doing with your yarn. I crochet too and it is very relaxing. You're an inspiration to any and everyone. Thank you for sharing your story 🙂
I have to applaud you my friend. I have been an avid loom knitter who watches your loom knitting videos for awhile now and i was wondering what had happened to your fingers while watching your vids, but after watching this video i appreciate you and your works that you share on here with everyone. It just goes to show you that no matter what happens to you you wont let something like this stand in your way...by the way your turtle video I really enjoyed watching.
I agree with you,Kayla has an amazing positive outlook in life by being able to laugh at her struggles she has and is dealing with continually. I relate to her in so many ways. Praying for continually.
Kayla, I have no idea how I ended up here at your channel tonight. Normally, I don't comment but you are so inspiring that it feels like I'm here to learn a lesson from you. I don't know if it's a physical, mental or an emotional lesson but I will never forget you. You will be in my prayers. Thank you.
You are amazing!! I lost my vision 18 months ago. When I am asked how it happened I reply, too much masturbation makes you go blind, or too much time on my cell phone, or watching tv, or staring at the sun. Actually I have macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Coincidentally, my dad had to have his right eye removed last year due to cancer. When people ask him about it he replies: Red Ryder BB Guns aren't toys, you'll shoot your eye out. We have to have a sense of humor about what has happened to us. It is the best way to deal with the pain and grief. I still knit and crochet. I had to give up driving, and reading. We learn to adapt. I am sorry this happened to you. I pray it doesn't happen again. I admire your strength and perseverance, and of course your sense of humor. 😘
I am so sorry that you lost your vision and you can't read any more . I wonder if maybe you have heard of Orcam ? It's a pen - like instrument that you use to read a book or anything else that has text on it . I think that you should look into their website (or get someone else to do it for you) so that you can get information about it and see if you might want to get one . Because you are blind , they may have a discount code for you to use so that you can get it at a lower price .
Thank you for both your humor and honesty. I have Raynaud’s and it was a very early onset for me. Part of the reason I learned to crochet is because I wear wrist warmers/fingerless gloves for a large portion of the year to keep the main arteries in my wrists warm. These fingerless gloves significantly reduces the pain Raynaud’s causes and that allows me to be more productive with my hands. Over the many years of wearing fingerless gloves, I’ve developed very specific taste in the style of fingerless gloves I like. It’s a game changer when you can custom make something that allows you to be more functional in life. Keep being awesome and don’t lick any blenders.😅
I know so many people who have let their amputations stop them from doing the things they love. I don't blame them. I can imagine it's very hard to start at 0 with a craft or hobby you used to be proficient in. The fact that you have carried on and adapted to continue the craft you love is so amazing.
I have MS, I get severe nerve pain in my hands, especially when I'm trying to crochet, but I haven't gave up, so glad I found your channel ❣️ everytime I feel sorry for myself over the MS, I will always remember this video!
One of the 1st lessons I learned at the start of MY medical journey was, *trust yourself that you know your own body best* I don't doubt that doctors know the medical terms of what goes on, but when something about your own body feels -not right- you are the best judge. *I admire your attitude about everything and add my name to your family's list of fans!* *Keep on truckin' and we'll be here cheering you on :))*
Miss Kayla, you're an inspiration to all of us. I became disabled in 2019 due to a fall at work. Had to have surgery on both legs and end up with nerve damage. I wish I had come across your channel back then. I could have used your inspiration. I didn't think I would ever be anything like I was. But you have given me strength to move forward and enjoy as much of life as I can. Thank you for your inspiration and videos. 😊
My daughter has Raynauds . This is terrifying . Thank you for the video . The picture are very helpful . People need to know the signs . I love your beautiful hair and your happy out look. Your awesome . Seems like it’s worse in the winter months for my daughter . God bless
Thank you for being so brave to share. I have lupus sjogens and Rheumatoid arthritis. I can't even imagine. I hurt from crocheting too much or gardening my heart does break for you. The good lord gave you a sence of humor we all need. God Bless.
I just found your channel, due to your crochet curly hair, then saw this. I'm adding you to my prayer list and hope the Lord will keep you from loosing anymore fingers or thumbs. Your attitude is just like my husband he has Marfan's disease and has had many many surgeries. He has been disabled for a long time but just goes with the flow. Thank you for sharing about your disease, as I have some issues with mine, but now should they ever start like yours I will take it seriously.
Kayla, your inner strength shines. Terrific sense of humor. I'm glad you have it as it lightens the weight & prevents dwelling on our life's adversities. Bringing awareness of Reynaud's & helping others by your experience is truly proactive and generous. Love you. Keep knitting and crocheting. 🤗💖🪔🌹🌺💐
A friend told me "Life is beautiful, but it isn't always fair!". We never know what life has in store for us, but you have the right attitude. God bless you Kayla. 🙏💛🤗
You are an inspiration! I've had lupus for 30 years. I haven't lost any digits or limbs but my legs and feet died due to nerve damage. Can't feel anything from my knees down. I can walk with a rollator but fall frequently. The bones in my left wrist collapsed and it had gone too far for surgery. Can't use it anymore. In a brace until I die. I learned the hard way to take life one day at a time. You are blessed to have family. I lost all of mine by the time I was thirty and lupus took me down shortly after. Thanks for sharing your story!
I want to say your amazing to be able to crochet with no fingers.God bless you. I have stage four breast cancer. But everyone's problems are different. I'm so sorry you had to go through this.
Thanks for sharing about what must have been an incredibly challenging and scary situation. I'm sure your story will help others facing life challenges too, so thanks for your honesty andwillingness to share.
This popped up in my feed. I didn't know and I wasn't going to ask. Thank you for sharing your story about this. I never knew about that condition. I love that you face the questions and the situation with humor. That bit at the beginning had me chuckling!😁 Take care!
Thank you for your story. I have been diagnosed with Lupus and Raynaud's. When my fingers started acting up my doctors really didn't know what to tell me except, wear gloves because your fingers are cold. I looked at him and said I was inside the house playing cards when my finger went numb/tingly/painful and whitey blue color. It hurt so bad I was tapping it and pulling them smacking it on the table, trying to get it to stop. Cold was not a factor. At least I know it wasn't all in my head. Thankfully my circulation returned but I know what to look for now and I know not to wait. Wish they could have done more to help. Since it's an older video I can only hope medically they have an advancement that helps prevent more loss. You have brightened my storm. You encourage me to see the silver lining even through the challenges. Thank you 🦋🌺🦋
I'm so sorry that you have had to deal with this. I love that you have a sense of humor about it and aren't feeling sorry for yourself because of it and are looking at the good things you have going for you in life.
I can't believe they haven't been able to determine a diagnosis for you. You have a remarkable outlook on life and such a great sense of humor. You strike me as being a fun person to be around. Praying they find a way to stop your pain and the loss of you digits.
I'm terrible, but was going to ask you if I didn't see this. I'm disabled from a very messed up spine and arthritis. I recently turned 60 and got started on this stuff when I was old. Thank God that I have these hobbies now! If not for all of this, I would never have survived the sudden unexpected death of my daughter Jan 21 2022. May God continue to bless you!you :)
"He didn't think I knew what I was talking about..." LOLOL! Bless you, you wonderful soul. You are an inspiration, and brought a smile to my face today. :)
This is Jane. Oh, Kayla, what a journey you are on. Life can be tough, but your attitude is beautiful. I have crohns disease, and am mostly housebound. I really enjoy my handicrafts; at least I can make gifts for my loved ones and feel productive. Though it can be real hard somedays, I thank God for all the blessings I do have. You are a great encouragement. I Thank you for your sweet spirit and fun attitude. Oh, by the way, one of our daughters did get her fingers caught in the hand mixer beaters. Praise God none of her fingers were broken, but she still has the gnarly, bent up beater as a souvenir.🥰
You are so brave. I am so sorry you have gone through the emotional snd physical trauma of these amputations. You are amazing and I am so glad you can still knit. God bless you.
You are an inspiration to us all and so incredibly brave. In another video you mentioned a name as to what happened. Have they finally given you a diagnosis? I experienced a hospital stay if 2 weeks and never received a diagnosis. What the doctors put you through seems unforgivable. I can see you have forgiven them. I am in awe of you.
Thank you for sharing your story. Lord. you have had it tough. I admire your attitude and your resilience. I am fast losing the function of my fingers and hands due to Multiple Sclerosis. I am constantly having to adapt and find ways to keep knitting, crocheting and day to day stuff. Keep strong girl, you are an inspiration to us all.
I'm a retired special education teacher. I applaud you because you still enjoy crocheting and stuff. You have a good attitude! 👏I have no knee left and use a cane. Do I still keep walking? YES!
I love your sense of humor …. My mom had her toes half or her foot amputated and she was like you… kept her sense of humor and would joke about it with the grandkids ….. it was her way of dealing with it and she went on with her daily life …. ❤️ you are an amazing example of strength and determination !!!! God bless
You have truly blessed me today. I am so sorry for all the pain you had to endure. You didn't deserve that. Sending love to you. Always in my thoughts.
I'm glad this video popped up. Your story is so sad but you are a blessing!!! I have been a Diabetic for 43 years. Amputations are a chance for diabetics. I pray that God continues to save me from this difficulty. I have also prayed for years that if I ever became handicapped, that I would keep learning how to keep going as you do!!! Thank you for your openness!!!!! May God Bless You!!!
You have such an amazing outlook and strength. I tell you, doctors are all not all they are cracked up to be. I can't help but feel they failed you at every corner. I love that you doing what you love, knitting and that you have a wonderful family behind you. You truly are an inspiration. May God watch over you and bring healing to you. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless and keep that sense of humor; it's a strength that not many have! God bless you and your family.
I am new to your channel and now binge watching. You are such an inspiration, How blessed are the families and friends who have you in their life. I do have to re read Why Bad Things Happen to Good People.I look forward to getting to know you and will be following you all the way. Take care Kayla....You've had a rough year. Hugs
Wow, I have been catching up on old vlogs. Your story blows me away, but more importantly your positive attitude is amazing. Your upbeat and happy nature is why I love your channel.

God bless you Darlin'! You have such a positive attitude. You have blessed all of us that have watched this podcast. I pray you have a Blessed and healthy 2019!
This is the first video ive watched from you. Oh my what an ordeal you have been through. I love your attitude making the most out of a crappy situation. Subscribed ;)
I found you recently and of course I was curious so I went back into your older videos. Wow your oldest one is 15 years ago, amazing. Thanks for sharing your story. I am sure that your story and words have helped many folks. I am glad you had/have a loving support system and you're here today. Thankfully we have these wonderful crafts to be our therapy and now with youtube we have all these wonderful crafty folks to share and triumph with. Thanks for being here!
Kayla I just watched this video and cried. I think it is amazing how much you do in your crochet projects. My daughter and niece and Mother have Raynaud's. Thanks for sharing your story.
Kayla, thank you so much for being so open and vulnerable. I can't even begin to imagine how much pain you've gone through. I have a connective tissue disease called Ehlers Danlos syndrome and i have raynaud's as well. I had no idea it could get that bad. I have lots of hand pain when it's even slightly cold, but the feeling always comes back and it's never turned blue like yours. I will be over here praying for your health and your hands every day.
You are a wonderful person! Thank you for sharing this with us. You are so strong and I cannot begin to imagine what this had to feel like. I thank you for you being so real. I love your channel and am so glad I have found you!! ♥️
What a wonderful way to see your life!! You are such a blessing Kayla! I could not stop laughing when you told the Lowe’s story! I could see the look on that kids face! Lol Thanks you for sharing your story with us!😍
I always tell people that it's important to find humor in whatever struggle we go through. A lot of times it's really hard to do but it does help. You are someone that knows this too. God bless you. I will pray for you to be in good health and to be able to continue doing things that you enjoy. you enjoy.
So sorry that happened to you Thank you for sharing this with us, I would of never imagined come across something of this. I was watching your curly hair tutorial and didn't realize your fingers were gone, I went to your page and was looking on your other videos and seen thins I was like wow you did amazing using your hands and fingers you have. Your great inspiration for others cause this is a serious thing and I couldn't imaging how you felt time and time again over and over. Prayers and hope nothing bad happens any more.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have a relative that lost her fingers due to a rare case of the flu. Her story was in the readers digest, a long time ago when it happened.
Hi from Australia. What a wonderful, brave soul you are! 💖💖💖 I pray you're able to hang on to your other fingers. I think you're marvellous hanging on to your quirky sense of humour and it's great that you can still knit! Keep smiling beautiful lady ... you're doing a great job keeping positive. 💖💖💖
Subscribed! Thank you for sharing. My daughter and my Supervisor at work both have Raynaud's. My daughter has just had numbness and tingling so far, and redness when exposed to hot water. I worry about her, but your positive attitude will uplift more people than you realize. Thank you again.
I'm so sorry your daughter and friend have Raynaud's. I hope your daughter doesn't develop more issues. Keep an eye on it. Blessing to her. Thanks for your note.
Thank you so much. Have you ever had difficulties with your feet? My daughter is 30 now, but ever since she was a preteen her feet would be blood red all the way up to her ankles when she would get out of the shower. They would return to normal color within several minutes. She would try not to have the water too hot, but they would still discolor.
Im taken aback at the strength you have in you! You have been thru several wars. I can relate, although with the Raynauds I was never warned about this happening to me by my Canadian drs. I’m shocked by the good and bad differences in our medical services and such hey...💕💕💕💕💕but you really are a gift Kayla. Your kids are so fortunate and blessed to have you as their Mum❤️🥰
You are so strong. I admire you and just wanted you to know. I started crocheting during the pandemic and just happened across your channel. I find you an inspiration!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your story. BIG HUGS to you! I am so glad that you are not letting your circumstances stop the dog and pony (llama) show!! You are and will continue to be an inspiration to many. Found you on YT yesterday and subscribed. I also joined the Yarn Swap group on Facebook. Can't wait to join in on some swaps!! Your transparency and willingness to be vulnerable has helped me with things I'm going through. I know it will help others too! You are a heaven sent Angel!! Much love!!!
Hi. So sorry to hear about your condition. I know several people who suffer from this. My prayers go out to everyone who suffer from this. Thanks for sharing your story.
Wow one after an another!! Oh my dear angel hearted! Friend! How brave and strong you are! I don’t know how much pain and hardship you have been through and I wasn’t there! But now we are here for you for ever! I love 💕 you!
I'm a knitter too. It can be happily hypnotic. And your children are learning a lifelong lesson about acceptance and stepping up to the plate. I think this is the most moving video I've seen here. Thank you for taking the time to tell us.
Oh honey I'm so glad your crocheting came up on my feed. You are just the sweetest and happiest person, I'm so glad I found you when I was looking for crocheting projects. God Bless you and your family. I'm praying for you and your hubby.
This is my 1st time seeing your video so I clicked on this one and listened to the whole thing saying a prayer along the way. God bless you and ty for making this video explaining what happened to your fingers and not all at the same time, how sad but you're a very strong and courageous woman! This video I see is from 2 yrs ago. How are you today? 🤗❤🙏🙏🙏
Kayla, I have to say I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself. For some reason I clicked on Your story. I hadn't read or seen anything. Just clicked on it. Then I have to say your smiles, laughter and soothing voice just snapped me out of it. This was before you even began telling your story. I have multiple disabilities of which most are invisible. I'm always in unbareable pain. My mom is my rock(God too)he knows without him and my mom I might not be around to make this comment. Gh how bad the pain gets a lot of the time. Unfortunately most people don't believe in invisible diseases even if a Dr is standing toe to toe with someone telling them it's most definitely real and so is her pain. Anyway enough about me. I just want you to know what an inspiration you were to me today. I'll be praying for you. Please say a prayer for me. I'm afraid it's gonna be a bad one tonight and an extremely painful long one too. May God richly bless you hun and thanks so much for sharing your story. For opening and uplifting my spirit today!🙏😇😊💖
Blessings 🙏 My oldest daughter has Crohn's disease and recently was diagnosed with lupus. She has other problems as well. I had no idea about this disease. Thank you for educating us. You are so brave. Prayers 🙏😇💕 I'm glad you share your talent with crochet. 🧶
Lol I really admire your attitude ...good for you!! It’s an unfair world at times.... I’m so pleased you seem to get through and still get things done. It can’t be easy. Xx back again I hadn’t watched the whole video when I commented. wow. Just wow. Thank heavens you have your creativity to return to when you are able...I can believe you’ve had to go through it with so many fingers ...I wish I could hug you. (i know sounds dumb. ) huggggggggg... I wish you so much luck and love for the future with those 2 illnesses. To know what was going to happen each time after the first....that’s just so awful and unfair for you. You are one amazing woman. I just want to thank you for the courage to share your story and I hope you lose no more. ... Lindy in Australia
Kayla, you are a true survivor and an example to us all. You could have just given up and not see a productive future for yourself. Who would have blamed you? Instead, you held onto what you could do and not only for yourself, but you became a teacher as well. I have tried to look knitting from other videos but it only left me frustrated. I have cognitive issues due to my multiple sclerosis and just couldn't get what they were doing. I watched your video with the circle cal and it clicked for me. Now I can't wait to get my loom so I can get caught up with the cal.i love your personality and I thank you for getting through this tough old mind if mine. Looking forward to looming with you! 🙂💙🧶
I'm so sorry that you went through this. You are an amazing person. You have an amazing delightful personality. I recently found you on RUclips where you share your art of crochet.
You are a very brave lady. With a great sense of humor in the worst of circumstances. You are doing a great job being a yter. Praying for you. Blessings
OMG you are incredible. Shouted you out today so hopefully some more folks will find you and get into your humour, I am sure my subscribers will because its a lot like my humour! Take care Tracy at crochet rocks, rocks steady and hobby rocks
My goodness you certainly have been through the mill. I’m happy you can 🧶 knit to give you something fun ❤❤. You have such a beautiful smile. Keep smiling. ❤gayle
Kayla, as everybody else has said, I appreciate you sharing about your struggles, and for you to be a crafter who uses your hands, what a challenge! I love your humor and bravery! I am spending time at the hospital with my husband who is being treated for leukemia, and I have gotten hooked on circular machine knitting, I’ll be an “expert” by the time I get home and can get one of these machines ! Big Daddy gave us excellent tips on how to perform maintenance on the Addie King, so thank you to him. Best wishes for your remaining fingers!! Love to you, keep on cranking!!
Absolutely love you Kayla. Thank you for sharing ...love your outlook and determination, you are amazing. I do get very frustrated and even scared sometimes when I have my Raynauds attacks...even merely opening the freezer doors at the grocery store sets off the top half of my fingers turning completely yellow and that horrid hurting/stinging feeling. When I show family and friends my hands ..it's usually a look of "gosh that's weird lookin".
Kayla, you are a wondrous woman. You have been thru an awful lot. You still smile and carry on. God is good, you have your life and your loved ones. And all your talents and hobbies are amazing! I also have Lupus and dread the future. So far, lots of medical issues. But I will endure as long as the Lord let's me. I will strive to keep a smile on my face, a hook in my hands, and a song in my heart. God bless you and good luck.
Hi Kayla, this popped up today. I had wondered how you lost your fingers and thought that it is incredible that you can crochet and do so much! Your amigurumies are absolutely beautiful! I love watching you and seeing all of your beautiful creations! Thank you for sharing your story. You are truly a beautiful person and inspiration to others. May God bless and keep you always. 🙏🙏💖💖
I know this is an old vlog, but I opened up my computer and saw your vlog about your father's funeral, (My prayers are with you and your family). So I went snooping on your channel. God bless you, losing your fingers and still are happy and getting along just fine. Well maybe not just fine but with the Lord's help. Thank you for posting. Your testimony will help someone somewhere I'm sure. My sister has lupus and I have MS but neither of us has the other. God Bless and have an AWESOME EASTER!!!!
I have a dear friend with Raynaud's Disease. Her hands are always cold to the touch. Thank you for sharing your story. Your sense of humor is truly remarkable.
When I realized today was 5 years from my 1st finger amputation I felt like I should do a video. God bless you kiddo. You are amazing!!! Keep up the beautiful work you're doing with your yarn. I crochet too and it is very relaxing. You're an inspiration to any and everyone. Thank you for sharing your story 🙂

After all the pain , you still have a sense of humor. I really admire you.

Love people that have such great humour. Rule 32 dont take yourself to seriously. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Friend had lost her pinky finger in a canal barge rope accident. She asked manicurist could she get 10% off the bill 😂😂😂

Thank you for allowing others to learn about Raynaud's and your journey with it.
I like all your shelf decorations!
This popped up in my feed. I didn't know and I wasn't going to ask. Thank you for sharing your story about this. I never knew about that condition.
I love that you face the questions and the situation with humor. That bit at the beginning had me chuckling!😁
Take care!
I do not mind people asking about my fingers. I know people wonder and it's fine to ask. Thanks, Debra.
@@LlamaMamaKayla Thank you for posting! I'm curious - when did someone actually figure out it was Raynaud's?
Thank you 🦋🌺🦋
Thanks for sharing your story. I also have Raynauds and other auto immune diseases. You are such an inspiration.
I have auto immune problem. Oils cause problems. I have olive oil for cooking. Dont eat bread, wrong oils are in it.
You are such a strong woman. Here I am whining about my aches and pains. I am ashamed of myself.
Thank you for your humor. I hope you’re doing well.
I knit and have all my fingers but I struggle, I don't know how you manage without the fingers! Amazing.
I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. We have to push through and find new ways. Thanks for watching.
It’s so great that you have such a great outlook on your conditions and have a little fun with it even! Love you loads!
Thank you so much!

I have been a Diabetic for 43 years. Amputations are a chance for diabetics. I pray that God continues to save me from this difficulty.

You are truly a blessing!! I’m like you I’m always joking about the bad things in my life! I’d rather laugh than cry! God bless!!
You are so strong, I admire the way you see life.
I ADORE 🥰 your personality and sense of humour!!!!

God bless you. I will keep you in my prayers. You have a beautiful heart
Thank you so much! i so appreciate your comment.
Thank you for sharing your life. You are truly a blessing , shining light, so sweet.
Thank you. I appreciate you!
Thank you so much.
I’m so sorry
I'm so sorry that you went through this. You are an amazing person. You have an amazing delightful personality. I recently found you on RUclips where you share your art of crochet.
You are a very brave lady. With a great sense of humor in the worst of circumstances. You are doing a great job being a yter. Praying for you.
Blessings
I subscribed : )
That thumbnail picture is epic! What a great sense of humor!
OMG you are incredible. Shouted you out today so hopefully some more folks will find you and get into your humour, I am sure my subscribers will because its a lot like my humour! Take care Tracy at crochet rocks, rocks steady and hobby rocks
Hey Girl, thank you so much! I appreciate you! Have a blessed day!
I have raynauds
Please try L-citrueline
It's helped me a lot just started 3 weeks ago big difference
