Love the Barrel batches I have picked, which are #33, #34 and Vantage. I bought a backup of 33 because I liked it so much. Saw some reviews that said #32 was a sweeter bourbon, so I went looking and found it last week on sale. Looking forward to #35, but have not seen it in any stores around me yet. 🥃
They've really been putting out some fantastic releases lately and think you'll really enjoy both 34 and 35. Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting 🥃
Just snagged a batch 35... my first Barrell bottle... Immediately blinded it vs Rare Breed and ECBP C922, and while delicious; it got beat by both. That's the first pour though; and most bottles tend to open up for me and improve as they sit. So I'm hopeful... but out the gate... $49 Rare Breed beat $92 Barrell Batch 35 for me.
This is proving to be the Blantons situation in Reverse. When I cracked my first bottle of Blantons, I was like "Wow... yeah it's low proof but these guys saying its overrated are just trying to be shocking... this is totally worth the price"... Then every time I went back to the bottle... it got a little less impressive. It's still a really solid pour... but at $70? I can't say it's worth it. Maybe I got a bad barrel... I mean in 3 months, I've worked through 2/3 of it, and enjoyed it a little less every pour. In Contrast the Barrell is a week or so old and in the five pours, it's followed the more typical path I see higher proof stuff take of getting better each pour. It's now ahead of Rare Breed... but behind my KCSB and KC12... Still not exactly a must have for the price... but it's gotten where I'm like: "OK yeah, these guys can blend... I get it". If I got this bottle @ $70-75... I'd be telling people to seek this stuff out. $10 more may not seem like much but for some reason an $85 (or $92) bottle just feels so much more than a $75 bottle to me. That said, I'll definitely keep my eyes out for another one from Barrell when Im in the market for a "special" bottle, especially if I can get it under $70, and I'm sure I'll snag the foundation soon enough.
I appreciate you sharing all the details and your experiences. I always thjnk its important for others to what other people are experiencing. Cheers buddy 🥃
These batches just keep getting better and better, I think you'd really enjoy them. Thanks for watching, commenting and subbing to the channel, Cheers 🥃
I gave my Nosing and tasting notes based on exactly that, what I nosed and tasted. If you like that great, if not it's not then it's not the bourbon for you but it's a fantastic bourbon! Cheers 🥃
I got to have a flight of 4 kinds Dovetail Vantage SeaGrass and. Store pick. I’m glad I did but I would Nit pay $100 for any of these bottles. Dodged a bullet and saved $400.00 bucks.
Found a few bottles of batch 001
My first Batch was 31, and I never stopped paying attention. Ready for these to hit my town! These reviews have me fired up!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers 🥃

I really enjoy barrel the 26, 33 & 34 as well as the Seagrass but the dovetails is my favorite
You can't go wrong with any of those bottles. Dovetail definitely offers up something different and delicious! Cheers, Roscoe! 🥃

So back to it after a few days... It's passed the ECBP C922, but still behind Rare Breed. Definitely significantly improved though.@@mybourbonjourney

I need to try out their Batch series. I had Dove Tail and Seagrass, and enjoyed both expressions. New Sub here.

Thanks John, I really appreciate that! 🙏 Thank you for watching
Scott, was that bottle provided to you by Barrell, free of charge?
Yes it was 100%
