Is no one gonna talk about how he pulled footage from some guys video on dragon fighter, forgot to mute the audio, and then talked over it?
flying dragon*
ig not
THANK YOU!!! That bugged me enough to come find this comment!
So it wasn't just me haha.
It's ok you'll live.
Glad to see Mischief Makers getting some love!
+RRPGReviews It's a super good one.
RRPGReviews sk2 was never released in europe 😭 i wanted to buy it in the US, but it may wouldnt have worked on the pal n64
One of the first games I got for N64 as a kid.
Forgot to mention Hybird Heaven. That game was awesome.
agreed. spent many hours playing that game and while it's extremely dated graphically now, back then it was a great looking game that few people knew of.
Hybrid Heaven is my all time guilty pleassure
That's one of my all time favorite games for any system. Imagine this game getting a remastered version on either the ps4 or upcoming ps5.
Dig that tshirt....where'd you get it from fella?
A store called Kohls in the states. FYI: love your channel dude!
+RetroGamingTube 85 thanks man! The same chain that the chewbacca mask woman shopped in! Ha
i have it also. got it as a birthday gift with a few other Nintendo-themed shirts...
+RetroGamingTube 85 I got it at Kohl's too lol.
Love your reviews Glenn Plant!
Blast Corps and Body Harvest were two brilliant games that didn't get enough love. So glad you pointed these two out. Blast Corps was so incredibly challenging...ie throw controller frustrating, but it felt somewhat fair...sans those dump-truck missions.
I'm so happy you put Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine on this list! It's one of my favorites. Great list!
I played it on the pc years ago, its cool indeed
Spank Rocket
I also played the PC version. I liked the rolling mechanic in that version.
I've never even heard of Body Harvest. I'll have to check it out.
Love me some Mischief Makers. Shake, Shake, Shake!
+John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Body Harvest is amazing!
BUY IT!!!!
Blast corps was literally my first n64 game, thanks for showing it some love man!
+MexicanLlama400 no problem! It's a classic.
@@RGT85 i agrre i still play it everyday😅
Man, you do a great job with all your videos and deserve way more subscribers.
Keep up the excellent work!
+Chubzdoomer Thank you bud!
Hey, I've only recently discovered your channel and seen a few videos, but I have to say, your presentation and the mannerism which you carry through the channel is really professional and awesome. I am shocked you don't have more subs!
';
Thanks for the kind words!
Hey nice N64 games, man i miss the Golden days of the Nintendo N64.
Glad to see mischief makers! One of my favorite lesser known games for n64 is Goemon's Great Adventure.
+Co-op Shop Yea I loved that one!
Mickey's Speedway USA looks fun, Imight have to pick tha up sometime.
Now, that was A Excellent hidden Gem filled Video. I know What I need to be on the look out for. Shawn, great Job and Hope the Week ahead is full of Good times.
+William true Thank you bud!
Glad to see blast corps up there. Still has pride of place next to goldeneye and smash bros!
It's a true classic
I've never played a lot of these! A few of them I had but usually with lists like these I've had them all so you did some good picks. Great production too man.
+PixelProtocol Thank you bud!
robot on rocket wheel and mischief makers are gems
+KMACK TIME for sure!
Stunt Racer 64 in a Blockbuster exclusive you didn't mention. It's one of my favorite Gems.
Space Station Silicon Valley, Rocket: Robot On Wheels, Beetle Adventure Racing, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Shadow Man, BattleTanx: Global Assault, Robotron 64 and Snowboard Kids are also some lesser known games worth checking out!
Yeah I'll be covering some of those in part 2 ;)
Awesome, looking forward to it!
Space station silicon valley is one of my favourites. I remember it had a glitch in it that stopped you getting all the gold pieces, still loved it all the same.
Sorry I don't have the chance to watch the whole video right now, but I skimmed through and I didn't see Rocket: Robot on Wheels showing up. That one is a true classic that's been buried under the rubble of early 3D games. Definitely something that needs to be checked out for N64 fans.
+BassbaitGG I'll probably make a follow up video at some point.
I used to love Micro Machines. That was my hidden gem:) Perfect Dark and Golden Eye were my two favourites. Then Mario Kart 64 and Smash Bros. I liked one player Diddy Kong Racing. I thought the two player mode in that game was average. You showed a pretty cool list here. I have never played any of those games. I was more into the Playstation at the time. Perfect Dark and Golden Eye was my life though on this system.
Just discovered your channel out of now where. Really cool stuff brother, you have yourself a new sub. Now seriously, you are the first person I've found online who shares my appreciation for Flying Dragon. Hell yeah!
Glad to have you here man
It may not be the best game, but as someone who never missed the chance to play every N64 platformer I do have fond memories of Tonic Trouble. Oh, and Rocket: Robot on Wheels, of course!
Tonic Trouble is actually a solid!
Definitely a list of good gems here bro! I love Flying Dragon and Mischief Makers still play those till this day! Awesome Hidden Gems video dude! Excellent job!
+8-Bit Vintendo Thanks bud
+RetroGamingTube 85 np
Dude never even watched you this far back but it’s sick seeing your legacy! So many good games have been added to the buy list from the top lists I went back and watched from you!!
That's a pretty good list. I thought I had looked over every N64 game but you just added a couple of games to my wanted list. Great vid!
+BlastMode7 Thank you bud!
So glad to see Mischief Makers made it on the list, its definitely one if my favorite games of all time
Tetrisphere is a gem of a game with the best n64 soundtrack
Awesome vid mate. I have blast Corps and Body Harvest And love them . Haven't played any of the others so will get on that right now :)
Do it man, lots of good games
Remember man, now that you a huge RUclips personality, when you do this kind of video, the games will sky rocket in value!
Jay Kay. Congrats on 7K bro!
+Joe Snes lol. Thank you bud!
Buck Bumble. Theme song is hype af
Agreed.
Chameleon Twist "a bit on the short side"... I finished that game in about 40 minutes under the age of 10.
You've got a great channel. Keep up the fine work, sir.
hey RGT 85, that Flying Dragon gameplay is from my video review. I can hear my voice in the background. ;)
Would have been nice if you mentioned the souce of the gameplay material. maybe next time. ;)
This is a great list of hidden gems, you highlighted so many good games from my childhood!
Flying Dragon!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
This was great dude. Basically anything Rare touched for the N64 was gold. I legit bought Indiana Jones based off your recommendation.
+Arcade Regiment Thank you bud, it's a good one
nes snes and n64 all worth buying just because of Rareware/ultimate play the game
i now have a lot of gaming to do this summer. like this is you smell your toilet paper after you wipe.
+Dearn Swaerger Go on. lol
Rocket: Robot on Wheels is definitely on my list. This one is often overlooked, but it's really a great game. I always enjoyed it.
+Kevin Fitch I'll have to check it out.
Love what you do man... would love to see a top 5 N64 Wrestling Game list. That would be epic
Not sure how this was recommended to me today 7 yrs later but love it!
Good video! I only have Blast Corps on your list. I definitely need to check out some of these hidden gems.
+Game Collector77 Glad you enjoyed it. Body Harvest is a must own.
Loving these videos man keep it up!
You know, I was getting ready to talk about Mickey's Speedway USA, mostly because nobody talks about it and I did think you weren't going to, but I'm glad you decided to talk about it first. Mickey's Speedway USA is a really awesome game that in my opinion is better than Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.
+N64Lain It's really smooth for sure.
Nice Vid, and I enjoyed the tid bits on each game!
Thank you for watchin!
Great video! My favorite N64 games were Armorines, BattleTanx, Hexen, and Mission Impossible.
+John Preston ah I remember long nights with Hexen. Fun but ugly as sin. Lol
Great list! I totally agree! Well done! I have most of the games on your list but you listed some I am going to have to track down. I would also add "Battletanx" to the list as well as "Space Station Silicon Valley".
good picks
I really liked playing spacestation silicon valley. It was an open map puzzle game that really made you think and made it was very unforgiving if you messed up doing one of the puzzles.
+Bitcove I heard a rumor that one might be on volume 2 of this.... ;)
I am glad you mentioned Mischief Makers, fantastic game. Might I recommend Mystical Ninja, a really fun 3D platformer/action game with multiple characters and a giant robot.
Have you ever played Goemon's Great Adventure? I'm pretty sure it's even more unheard of then the first Mystical Ninja on the N64. It's a pretty good, difficult 2.5D platformer. The cutesy graphics also made me think of Yoshi and Kirby so it can feel nostalgic even if it's your first time playing.
+RBunctious Oh yes. Love that game.
Great list! I loved Winback, Blast Corps, Nuclear Strike, Chameleon Twist, and Mischief Makers. I would have added Buck Bumble, which featured a fun single player campaign, as well as two different multiplayer options, deathmatch and a soccer type game. My friends and I played a lot of BuzzBall back in the mid nineties.
And now we play Rocket League, so much. But I still suck at it.
Definitly my fave console of all time, so many great memories, and Goldenye, that must be the most replayable game ever, I have finished 100's of times, and it plays so fresh with each play through. one game that surprised me was Road Rash 64, that's a really fun game!
Dude yes! Road Rash 64 is choice.
other than Indiana Jones i can honestly say I've played all these games when i was kid in the N64 era and can confirm these are all overlooked classics, i remember getting body harvest in a bargain bin bundled with a memory card and it blew my freaking mind!
+SargeCQB dude you gotta try Indy!
this was great glad u talked about flying dragon on n64 I love that game
+Allretroisfun It's an underrated one for sure!
Nice. A knew of a few of these, but not the majority of them. I'll have to keep my eye out.
+Brasel TheGamer For sure, they are really good ones.
Winback is a really fun game. never played the PS2 version but from what played of the N64 version its quite enjoyable and was really different for the time
+BioPhoenix Yeah the cover mechanics are solid as hell.
Duke nukem zero hour never gets talked about & its honestly one of the best n64 games. It has gta style humour.. a clever story line with interesting places.. victorian london with jack the ripper.. the titanic, scotland, wild west new mexico.. new york.. and the gameplay / graphics are great
Roadsters for the N64 is most certainly overlooked. It's probably got the best graphics in any game for the system, lots of cars, Gran Turismo style upgrades...
I remember that one :)
Some good games there just picked up body harvest wasn't sure what it was until I watched this nice find cheers :)
+jason entwistle excellent you'll enjoy it!
Yeeeeeeeeeessssssss! N64 for life!!! i got indiana jones 64 and rush 2049 for the sistem recently, great video bro!
+Nicolas Cortés Thanks bud!
If you didn't have mischief makers i would have called this list incomplete. well done. best game ever
it's a true gem
Cool! Gonna pick these games up
If you end up doing another list of N64 gems, I would recommend talking about Jet Force Gemini and Dr. Mario 64. Both of those games have fallen into obscurity, even though both are fantastic; and Dr. Mario 64 was the first and currently only Dr. Mario game in the series to have 4 Player modes.
For sure. I plan on doing a part 2.
Gauntlet Legends was such a fun co-op game to play on the N64! Mario Golf is also a blast, even with a party of friends! Ms. Pac Man Maze Madness was also a pretty solid game too. And of course, everyone should own a complete in the box copy of Superman 64 like me! :D
+Retro Power Up lol I never even knew there was more to the game than just flying through those stupid rings.
great video, now I've moved house I think I need to get a N64 again. The memories of multiplayer GoldenEye with proximity mines. So much fun.
+Lee Fadden Yeah so many hours were spent in goldeneye multiplayer. Still fun as hell today too.
LOL I knew Flying Dragon would be in there... :D
Awesome video! I dunno if I agree with blast corps though, mostly cuz I was one of those kids that only had one console and at the time there was like 12 games out for the 64, so that particular game for me was very well known, and very loved. I remember it came out when turok came out, rented both, bought blast corps.
I would have to say though, Conker's Bad Fur Day definitely deserves a spot on this list though. Soooooo many people never heard about it till Conker Live and Reloaded, and even then still didn't play it. Came out super late in the n64 life cycle, was definitely a hard M rated game, albeit I remember the platforming being better than most people seem to rate it as, amazing dialogue and voices. Every time I find it at a garage sale or somewhere it isn't super marked up I pick it up.
+TheBrhyno yeah blast corps was the most popular on this list.
Excellent list, man Body Harvest and Blast Crops, great taste!
+Martin McCluskey thanks bud!
nice list! plenty of games that I haven't seen listed
+NostalgicRoe Thanks bud!
Good job bringing up Indiana Jones by the way. When I first played that game (relatively recently) I was surprised how good it is considering I had never heard of it!
Someone put it on a Top 10 Worst N64 games list. I was like what the fuck are you on?
Obviously the writer didn't play it or they don't know what the hell they're doing! :)
Lol agreed :)
✨Could never afford the system or its games but I did play the hell out of the display system at a blockbuster video store everyday. Lol😃✨
Snowboard Kids 1&2 *drops mic*
+4DhumanInstrumentality hell ya
Agree
Fricking THIS.
One, yes definitely. Two?....nah. Not a fan.
Matt Palmer I'm a fan of both. 2's controls are much better and the gameplay is smoother but I like the difficulty of 1's AI more.
Great picks man. Lots of fun games there. Another good one for N64 is Ogre Battle 64.
+sfbsfb Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice video Shawn! I'll have to check out those games. The only one I own out of the list is Blast Corps which I agree, is a silly game.
+mtshark7 get body harvest. It's amazing.
+RetroGamingTube 85 I'll be on the lookout for it :-)
"So one of my favorite consoles is N64" boom clicked like and subscribe, all I need to hear. It also helps that you're holding an N64 wearing an N64 shirt in front of your N64 collection.
+John Redcorn LOL thanks bud!
Blast Corps was the game that forever to this day haunts me, It quite insanely hard as you progress.
For sure. It's a....wait for it....BLAST though!
I haven't heard of some of these. Mischief Makers was always a favorite of mine on the system. I also really loved Bomberman Hero.
+Desthetic It's a good one.
blast corps was my absolute favorite game back in the day
And chameleon twist came in as second to only mario 64.
+Tyler Barnes glad to see more people dig chameleon twist!
Body harvest was awesome loved it as a kid!!
To be honest I've have never seen such creativity in games, unlike today.
Yeah games today are a lot of the same shit over and over.
+RetroGamingTube 85 I agree :) especially when I watched mickeys speedway.
Used to love Body Harvest, I remember getting that game as a kid, and it was a completely random purchase lol
I'll have to hunt Body Harvest down,it looks amazing
+Goombasareawesome You do! It's so good.
yea i just hunted this game and next week a friend sold it to me!
Nice list! Never heard of most of them
+Jonathan Drewes gotta pick up Body Harvest for sure!
Blast Corps! awesome! couldn't remember the name until now.. thanks!
+Snake Plissken No prob!
I'm still yet to finish Body Harvest. Lost track of how many times I've started that game! Definitely deserves a proper go.
It's an awesome game dude
Did you ever remember it being green? I can't find any copies where the cart was.
I thought I was the only one that knew about Flying Dragon , oh and you can't forget Goemon Mystikal Ninja
+King Avery Vlogs I vividly remember that scene with the giant robot and the singing. lol
I can't get over how good the graphics are close to today's great vid
Oh my god WINBACK!!!I totally forgot about that game but I loved it! Played it for weeks as a kid
It's a solid game!
I came here in the hopes you'd mention Hybrid Heaven. It's so good and so cheap!
Yaaaasss, Flying Dragon~ That was my jam. TvT
+chikahoshi such an underrated game.
+RetroGamingTube 85 Totally agree
Owning Winback, Body Harvest, Blast Corps and Mischief Makers. Good list.
+TheBaioken Good taste in games!
body harvest looks great, especially. thanks!
I've played a lot of these.
With Winback I think there are like 5 different endings depending on how fast you beat it!
Good list, I had no idea they made a Strike game for the N64!
+STNKbone Yeah it's pretty fun
Interesting video, like finding smaller youtubers with good review videos.
+DarkKnightTrinity thanks bud
Nice picks. Going to check out Body Harvest.
Body Harvest, in my opinion, is probably THE BEST underrated N64 game I've ever played. It's like the only few open world games on the N64 that wasn't Zelda. If Rockstar ever decided to remake this game or even a sequel, I DEFINITELY would pick this up!!
My Hidden Gems: Turok 3 and Star Wars, Battle for Naboo
I never owned an N64 but my best friend did and that's where my Nintendo interest started. I recently came across Blast Corps and really enjoyed it. Buck Bumble has always been my N64 Guilty Pleasure lol, and for some reason l've always favoured the N64 version of Doom. Shadows of the Empire was awesome too.
+Party BobUK I heard about Buck Bumble!
He's not a Nintendo RUclipsr LOL great video bro
Winback... Wow. I forgot all about that game. Such a great game.
it's a classic
