I doubt it would work, as the vacuum engine, while being very fast, doesn’t have very much torque, and would probably barely function, if at all
@1:17 camshafts control the valves for intake air and exhaust gases, the fuel is controlled in different ways.
it depends if its carburettor or fuel injection but either way you're right
doesn't the camshaft control the valve that gasoline is injected through?

Gotta make sure you get the timing correct not only with the cylinders but also with each side

Correct timing is out of the question because lego axles have 4 directions with 90 degrees separation while a V12 needs 60 degrees of separation. But it looks cool non the less!
dont think that matters because timing depends on where the sprocket is in the chain and not an axle @@batman3698

@@LucasDynamicsNah, piston engines have vibrations because of the pistons constantly going up and down. 12 cylinder engines are generally pretty balanced, but they still vibrate.

BROOO WITH YOUR TALENT YOU CAN MAKE THE WORLDS FIRST LEGO CAR THAT IS DRIVABLE FOR SURE
Swap the z16’s gears for blue z12’s and then the ratio will be correct for camshaft to crankshaft. Then figure out the firing order and try to match it as close as possible. More than one cylinder will fire with a Lego design, but that’s cool. Was the kit bought or one you designed yourself, if it’s yours, awesome 👏👏👏
not important but more accurately the camshaft rotates half the speed of the crankshaft

@@LucasDynamics Yup, 4 stroke engines specifically, intake and exhaust valves open once per 4 stroke or 2 revolution combustion cycle. valves are closed on compression and power stroke, exhaust opens as piston comes to TDC and intake opens as the piston comes back down. plenty of cool animations that can explain better than I can.. then you get into valve timing overlap vtec and weird sht
