    The servos are pricey, however, if you’re looking for an alternative, CADA makes their own motor packs for ~$50 and it comes with multiple motors.

    before servos the community was really inton finding good RTC mechanisms like the one you proposed, the most "competitive" one, used in LTR and LTC was with the lego hockey slammer spring piece and M motor, super compact and quite realiable

    What do you mean “they break easily under load”? I use plenty of those joints under load (Just look at their Technic Heavy-Duty Tow Truck, for example) and they work fine.

    If you guys want to make no. 1 steering without the clutch i recommend to use fake L motors since if they break you can buy another one for a very cheap price

    • @in1
      @in1  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, they won't exactly "break", but the stopping could deform the planetary gears inside so that the motor turns less smoothly. But I wouldn't recommend buying a $50 original motor for anything, not only for this.

  • @andrel449
    @andrel449 5 месяцев назад

    I don't think is a good idea to use a pf motor with constant turn, to use as a servo, as they are not step motors (as all the control+ motors). This turn on and turn off sequences in a long period of time could damage the motor. I don't have many experience on that, but from what I know that should be a thing
