If you're searching for a good custom differential to build, here's a small ranking: Good: 2, 4a, 5a, 8a, 8b, 9 Okay: 1, 5b More Proof of Concept than useful: 3, 4b, 6, 7, 10
I made a similar torsen differential a few years ago using a larger turntable, but I couldn't test it because I did not have any wheels large enough. Yours looks more versatile and stronger. Nice job!
I have a question for you, I have a robot that has an engine below it, in the space between the 2 main engines (that move the robot itself), I use this engine to move a gripper that is like the ones used to grab trees. The problem is that it hardly manages to lift objects because to move the power to the top of the gripper a lot of energy is dissipated due to gears in sequence. How can I improve the lifting capacity of the system?
@2in1 Bricking I have another problem 😅, the gripper is on top of the robot (12cm high) and is in the front of it, the problem is that I have a ultrasonic sensor between the rotary axis in the base and the gripper on top, so I am forced to put a sequence of gear (horizontal-vertical-horizontal). I tried to improve the lifting capacity by introducing a gear ratio but it isn't enough (I have to grab and lift 200g)
Where can I get all of this Lego technic stuff I’ve been wanting to do stuff like this but you can’t just find a bulk of random lego tecnic parts or specific parts or hell a parts catalog so I know what I want to get
Did you ever get into technic? There’s plenty of catalogs such as Lego’s pick a brick or bricklink which is usually cheaper parts wise. I suggest getting a set at a reasonable price for yourself and from there buy whatever parts you would need.
Me: I need to build a differential, but I don't have a differential piece. Video: I gotcha, fam! *Pulls out Eldritch horror piece.* Me: Uh, yeah. Thanks. I... totally have one of those. 😅
Also. 2in1 Bricking I made a lego artillery gun that is quite big and shoots far whit realistic reloading and shell ejection and has MOVEBLE back legs. And adjustable gun angle and wheels. Also it uses NO RUBBER BAND ONLY LEGO Springs.

fascinating
physics is weird... I still can't wrap my head around how being able to travel in opposite directions makes a "rigid" turning system.
Build one yourself, you will see and understand how it functions

Number 7 is brilliant
I found the most interesting one the 9th.
This category of video is very useful!
Lots of knowledge, genious construction ideas, No 10 is especially Cool! Thanks for sharing this, keep on building!🙂👍
Yessir another video

Maybe using universal joints instead of gears could help, or you could use a linear actuator in your gripper

@@fededig Do you use linear actuators for lifting the weight?
@@in1 I use a gripper like the ones used to grab and lift tree logs
@@fededig So, you mean one with a snail drive?

These are 68 or 62 mm wheels
I'm sure
interesting because those with a big turntable can allow big demultiplications
10:20 this can be used to make an very very compact transmission
Hmm what happens with the limited slip differentials if for example I take a lot of right turns? Will they just lock at some point?
The first one will, the torsen one won't

It's amazing. 👍👍
8b is perfect for what I have in mind.
2:57 This is referred to an illegal building technique.
Amazing!
Do you know what a lego air motor is?
Do you mean pneumatic engines?
@@in1 yeah
👍👍👍
I am building a Steyr T80 out of lego with a pneumatic engine where i can use one of those differntials😄
There's a ton of interesting mechanisms lol, maybe even useful sometimes. Though I'll stick with the ordinary lego piece for now 😂
which one? :D
Part no. 62821b, really common
Fulltime video. Evolution is here!))
I had a lot of time this week ^^ This took me 3 days to create, normal videos are more like 12 hours of work
@@in1 Thanks you)

Bros hands are damn near perfect
I'm the 1 liker of the video

U should make a artillery gun
Me to
number 9 is my favorite.
9:41 Tatra want to know your location :D
I keep in original lego desings ’cause they are smaller than about all of these and they dont break.
*wow*
