Yes I assume once you get this procedure done it's there forever unless of course you want to remove it in which case they can probably just take off the cap

I have 5 capped teeth. I was told they are not permanent. I have had them 33 years so far, here's hoping they last into my 60's.

@@sciencelover4741 the old tooth underneath the cap is shaved down to a peg. I am told decay can happen and could require a root canal.
