Wow, I love these cars. Every time I see a video about one of these cars it just makes me miss mine more.. I have owned two talons,a 1990 and a 91. The 90 is one that I raced. It was a beast.. That's for sharing, love the video 👍✌️
My favorite is that he never rushed the build. It took 24-25 years for him to reach that point! Good reminder for me and many others that patience is a virtue 💪🏽💯
I owed a mk3 supra and stopped the proyect when i reached 411 whp it had potential for 800hp. I bought the car when i was 16 and spend 3 years learning and rebuilding the car since rats made partys there and the car had rodnock , once i reweld the wires , rebuild the engine , forge the engine , programed the engine (this step was not by my self) then i started making good progress until one day decided to sell it for another peoyect that being my DSM , ive been owning it for a week but its a full not working proyect for now
My first car was a 90 GSX when I was 16 in 96. I had tons of fun learning with it, such a fun little car. The 'Big Cheese' where I got all of my parts from was a guy named Dave Buschar (sp) who was the first to make it RWD set many records.
Man the car is amazing dsm's are close to my heart, but the owner is the absolute man. Big big ups to him on getting his hands in it as much as he could. It inspires guys like me that want to follow his footsteps and learn as much as possible about this stuff
This guy's story sounds like mine. My first love was in car audio. Did a ton of builds, then got old school cadillacs (slabs) and now into turbo hondas. Now getting into tig welding.
@@PurpleSpcaeCadet oh man I want to find one bad. I had a shep stage 1 trans, ets fimic, 3in exhaust from the only company that made em for the gvr3, 850s for injectors, 3g mas, key diver chip. I had the typhoon butterflys even working it was sick. 4 bolt rear end deleted the 4ws. Thing was so fast..jdm front end and ce28s. Its 78/1k I had a thread on gvr4.org. I have a video of it on the 2 step ill post it here once I find it.
Gee! I had a 65 big block Caprice!....Have 1992 Talon (AWD MANUAL) since 2008.. On my third turbo system and fifth turbo (72mm). Borderline street ,, thinking going for rolling drag or 1/2 mile as 1/4 start breaks too many parts. Amazing how time flies working on your DSM.
These vids got me working on my evo a lot, almost got my clutch job finished. I live 20 minutes from BIR you’ll see me there next proving grounds 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is so inspiring to me because this hits home for sure. I know exactly what he is talking about, I live in New England and we also have long winters so that when we get the most done. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that does things by myself, everything I put into my car or built was me alone and to see someone else with the same drive is awesome. I definitely need to follow this gentleman because he is such a inspiration for me to go bigger and better. 👍🏻👍🏻 On this video
He's a smart dude. If I remember correctly, Mark worked at Mach 1 in the early-mid 90s. I believe he put hydraulics on his mom's FWD Chevy Lumina. Possibly without her permission lol
Great story. I also had a ‘92 FWD. Tsi Used to love whoopin’ on stangs... It was a pretty tough car I thought for as much as I beat the living $hit out of it.... orig turbo lasted over 225k mi. I was pretty impressed Too bad Mitsi has gone way down hill after....
I'd be happy with 1/3 of your build...oh wait...I have to find a 1G that's not a junk pile first. My other one's probably past the crusher now. Guy's a born fabricator, too humble if you ask me.
Nice car. Purdy sure I have followed it on the forums over the years. One of these days I’ll spend the coin on the dog box. Until then it’s breaking trans parts for this guy:(
Whats your favorite part of Mark's Talon? Let us know 🤘
that its running :)
HOLY CRAP :D
What a car :D
The brute power.
That I've watched him mod and drive it for his entire ownership. It's been a truly inspirational experience!
Built!!! Not Bought!! 🤙🏾
"Every winter".... I dont think many people realize how much effort it takes to truly do it all yourself. Great job, beautiful car.
wow I LOVE THIS RIDE!!!!
Great Story!

Love this DSM
That's nuts man. Great story.
He was no doubt a Moderator on a DSM Forum.
My favorite part is how he taught himself everything just like I myself am trying to do with my DSM
Whats a "DSM"?

I really enjoyed this video from stock to built and you just received a new subscriber to your channel 🤣🤣🤗
Welcome aboard!
guys like him give me inspiration! I am on a similar path, learning as I go 👌🏽
The Talons are very cool, fun to build, fun to drive

My fav
My favorite part is
That it's still in one piece
Saw those Concept Neeper
Dude. Great video, love lowriders/rippers/cars in general. Dig that you kept and refurbished your pops car. Hell yeah brother!
Awesome DSM right here at home, in Minnesota. 🤙

Life is all about variety!
I love interviews with people who are down to earth, thanks for sharing man, and nice work!
I miss the dsm days. I had a 92 Galant vr4 with a e3 16g and tons of goodies..it was insanely quick.
I have a 91 sadly just sitting in the garage no engine or trans.

You gotta build an electric DSM!
Mark holla! I.C.C. B. Devious Mpls.
Very impressive Mark. Well done, the car is some feat of engineering
Great video! Love seeing any dsm content

badass dsm! how much does it weigh???
Awesome DSM content! Love that it’s not an auto!
This is the Pontiac sunfire guy from ricer files he's all grown up now.

Great video, thank you for taking the time to put it together and post it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful build
This guy is just like me, into everything
This gets me all nostalgic about my first car (talon tsi awd 5mt) in high school. Except mine was slow as hell 😅
What did you do with it? Where is she now?
I had a 96 tsi. Was quick for being the 90’s.
Impressive! He's taken it to another level!
What a beautiful machine and build!
This is pretty much goals for my 1g as well, except I want to keep a/c and it still be 100% street able.
This is certainly the car to strive for!
Awesome build! The attention to detail is spot on.
that bouncy bouncy off the start line is cute 😂😂 reminds me of small bunny rabbits.
He's a smart dude. If I remember correctly, Mark worked at Mach 1 in the early-mid 90s. I believe he put hydraulics on his mom's FWD Chevy Lumina. Possibly without her permission lol
Sounds like something he would do for sure! 😂
It was actually a Corsica not a Lumina. He bought it from an old lady, Removed all the hydraulics and sold it as stock after a few years.
@@MrFunkywax Thanks for the correction. I remember it being pretty legendary at that time.
Nice video. Bet all car nuts can relate. But.... What the heck is a DSM 😅
What coil over plug set are you using?
This is a prime example of living the Motorsport dream! #24yearslater #stillripping 🙏 😎 ✌️
No doubt!
Wow. It’s so cool man

Hope to see this car at the shootout
🥳👍💪🤪
DSM’s turn you into a mechanic one way or another
Truth!
Hope to see this in a this vs that episode that'd be dope!
Sell ya my 2g awd lol
Nice race car but that Caprice is just sick!!

Mark is awesome! Goes to show that you can build anything with enough determination!
is the 3000gt rear end that much better then the 1gs/
Absolutely is
Wow
The street front wheels what are they !?
Nice car. Purdy sure I have followed it on the forums over the years. One of these days I’ll spend the coin on the dog box. Until then it’s breaking trans parts for this guy:(
One of the downsides to big power!
Great car but 8 sec not slow to 1200whp?
Tell #Forza to add this car to Horizon 5 ASAP!!
Damn, that would be something!
