Hi Daniel, regarding your NY message, I couldn't agree more. It's great that many people make these resolutions but most of the time they do not stick to them. If you want to make a real change you can do it at any point in your life without waiting for a special occasion. I admire your work rate. I'm the same, there are no bank holidays in my calendar, no weekends or stopping work after 5pm. It's 24/7 and I wouldn't swap it for anything else! Peace :)

Id be checking the 5mile drone thing, its 2.5 mile radius from centre of runway, so youll only ever be 2.5 miles away, 5 miles is the total diameter of the exclusion zone
Sometimes loads will not be split evenly between the two cables, so you would expect that if there was limits of 2.5 tonnes on each of the two limbs, that the total limit, would be less than 5 tonnes. What it actually was, would depend on how unbalance the load might become in motion, an engineer could calculate this, or it may be that the parts are tested to well in excess of 2.5 tonnes and addition of limbs loading can be safely used when calculating safe loads. But I guess this is covered in training associated with securing loads.
I think I posted on a previous video about the drone being flown here! Just so you know you can't fly a drone high enough to hit a plane from your current radius as they have in-built limits but the law does not permit you to fly within 5 miles. Crazy rules tbh. But it is what it is.

Doesn't matter what weight it is if the Police had decided enough was enough, They would only be acting on the info passed to them and Daniel should have been aware of the Law, he is doing his Pilot's licence.

You actually can't lift 5 tons with that set up, due to there being angles in the system. For something like that the correct way to work it out is 2.5 x 1.4 (for 2 slings or 2.1 for 4 slings) which is 3.5 ton. It's called the uniform load method 😁

Hi Daniel, regarding your Lego block lifting chain sling set. The weakest link is actually the concrete surrounding the cast in anchors. The 2.5t anchors have a metal failure of 3 x the load rating so 7.5 tonnes. The shackles have a 4 x factor so those 2.5t shackles will lift 10t before failing. The concrete failure of the deha system is probably about 2.5 x. When your lifting lego blocks with forklifts the dynamic factor really needs taking into consideration. Happy to have a specification done for you signing off the anchors and sling.

How so? Face masks aren’t that common really as they are working together. I think some police forces probably require them but not all as I don’t often see them wearing masks
