Hi Jan You should do another power crossfeed S7 restoration video. Interesting to see the machaniscs of the powerfeed apron and differences to usual S7 when scraping and grinding.
Amazing. Also, something that might interest you, analysing the different myford models such as Tri-Leva, long bed models, mini-kop(mega rare), myford 280 etc. Probably thin on the ground for you in Scandinavia but if you can come across these, very interesting to document, 'rare' models.@@jansverrehaugjord9934
As a Myford owner I very much enjoy all your videos about restoration many thanks for sharing. I would love to expand my skills and maybe even try some scraping but I wouldn't dare touch my prized Super 7, naturally. I've been following along an American gent's channel (Old Fart Hacks) he's doing some work on a small cheap Chinese X-Y table to make improvements and I bought one of those to play around with. It's actually quite a lot of cast iron for the money, less than $100. Is there any merit in the idea of you taking one of those and using it as a basis for a series to make it the best it can be - assessment, dismantling, scraping for novices, gibs etc.? Would anyone else here support that idea? In any case thanks for sharing so much knowledge on your channel so far.
The Occasional Machinist youtube channel has a series on improving an import X-Y table. He seems satisfied with the result, and gets into some detail along the way. I'd include a link, but RUclips apparantly thinks I'm a danger to civilization if I do that, and such posts get disappeared.
Thank you for your nice comments! At the moment I have enough projects to last the next few years :) so I better concentrate on getting these finished, and in the process document what I am doing as I am now. We have staged several scrpaing classes up here in Scandinavia, as well as I know there are regular classes in the US, UK and possibly elsewhere, so can recommend you to take such a class if you are interested in scraping.
