Dude! I never knew I had OCD until you made an error on that step and never fixed it!
    Great video, thanks, much needed!

Good video. My only comment is most firms carry Rhino and are ready to switch to it, especially since grasshopper is so useful. The challenge is the user base coming out of school not having enough knowledge to run with Rhino. Architects have mostly transitioned to Revit at this point. My recommendation is get acquainted with both, and if you can, master Rhino.

A good add-on to rhino is called (lands design) it's a landscape plug in and its actually really good it's still work in progress but free to download

I love rhino but I really struggle with rhino and site modelling. Have there been any developments in manipulating surfaces in the 8yrs since this video was made. I have been looking for a way to create smooth transitions between elements without having to fiddle with individual points. If for example I need to add a path or a road or an embankment that isn’t in the original survey how can I do that and achieve a smooth interface with the original surface?

How can i keep the surface on the points while I move then like you do in 15:04?

Great video, quick question ! would you happen to know(or direct me to a source) how to scale the texture of the site picture you put in? When i brought my picture in, it was not fitting to the contours.. it was too large .

The key to getting the image to line up with the landform mesh is to trim it to the site boundaries (in Photoshop) before using it as a texture. You also have to use the same site boundary to trim the landform mesh once you have created it from the contours. This could be the property line of the site or an arbitrary site boundary that you create. It just has to be the same in he image and the Rhino model geometry. Also, you must use the Planar Mapping method to map the image onto the landform (using the bounding box option). I covered that part if the video.

The first 4:30 is an empty screen. So … Why not show the final so we have the objective in sight? Also, after you record, spend a little more time on the edit. You can cut out mistakes and show other content easily.

Rhino feels like the wrong tool for the job.
