It is fun, I made a light using one, to do this put "on button A pressed" from input, go to LED and put 25 "toggle x 0 y 0"s, and you have 5 axisses, (0,1,2,3,4) here's the code labled you have to do (4,4(25)4, 3(24)4,2(23)4,1(22)4,0(21)3,4(20)3,3(19)3,2(18)3,1(17)3,0(16)2,4(15)2,3(14)2,2(13)2,1(12)2,0(11)1,4(10)1,3(9)1,2(8)1,1(7)1,0(6)0,4(5)0,3(4)0,2(3)0,1(2)0,0(1).) I don't know Kano, so you might be on your own. The micro:bit should look like any other USB thumb drive.

That usually is an indication that something was typed incorrectly in the code. Double check your code and try uploading your program again.

MicroPython and the micro:bit should still work in the UK, if that's what you're wondering.
im a brit and its from the BBC and I like to think that they want to teach us stuff so may be its useful if your an aspiring coder for games and stuff
when i sent a hex file to a micro bit it showed it was there just for a second and then it disapiread

It might be a different version of the micro:bit, or if someone else has used it, it might be running their program instead of the new-out-of-the-box demo.
This is well produced and interesting. Unfortunately it's now out of date and the instructions no longer follow the website interface. Please consider an update.

Cant you just use makecode?
You can. MakeCode is a graphical block-based language whereas MicroPython is text-based. Both offer different ways to interact with the micro:bit.

As in you got a syntax error? That usually means something was not entered correctly in the code. Double check your code to make sure it matches what I wrote.
