Damn. Look at the tunnel vision in Efferding. A glimpse of the mind of an elite athlete in flow state. So deeply in tune with his training that putting thoughts into words is almost impossible. Normally he is eloquent and fluid in his speech and insights. But here his mindset is not professor, but warrior. As conditioned as this man is from decades of peak performance training, this workout requires every bit of his fury and sustained focus. Why? Because he is pushing himself to still greater heights, even at age 50. Many lessons to be gained from men like this. And Ryan Kennelly... Damn, just keep rewinding and rewatching his setup. How he spring-loads himself under that bar. That is the master class from the master.
I swear, I wanna be just like these guys. I know it isn't good to set limits on yourself but currently I am 17 years old, weighing 165 and benching 295 paused. I feel that due to my lower body weight I will be rather limited in the bench press and I will never hit upper 4's. Obviously only time will tell, but I've made pretty good progress so far.
+PwntsRocksU I can agree with that. I'm 20 years old and I benched 140kg(309lbs) in a meet last saturday after struggling with 130-135kg (286-297lbs) range since 16. Body weight fluctuated between 83-98kg (183-216lbs) that time and last saturday weighed in at 93.24kg. I'd say if you increase your body weight slowly over time you'll be hitting that upper 4's in your 20's. My advise is stay off drugs and alcohol when peaking. When I understood stay off that for couple of weeks before meet/maxing out started gaining strenght. Ginger InAtree you have made great progress so far I'm confident you hit your goal if you stay consistent for x amount of years. I'm confident I'll hit my life time goal in bench which is 200kg (441lbs) in x amount of years just don't know how much I need to weigh to able to hit that number that day. Number one thing why I hit that pr bench last saturday is because I learned this fall how to really use leg drive. Cheers from Finland!
I wonder what the blood on his head was from? That shit creeps me out when Larry Wheels bleeds from his BP going so fucking high when he's deadlifting. (insert scared face emoji)
I blinked and missed Ryan's set.
He is one of the fastest benchers I have ever seen . I have speed days and heavy days all because of him, it really helps .

+Ginger InAtree I'd say you are on the right track. Maybe slowly try to increase your body weight over a period of time. That will help a lot

That's a good response. Not much more to add to that. BOOYAH
Thanks guys.
Ginger InAtree to be like these guys you need great genetics and boat loads of drugs. It’s not worth ruining your health
That was insane
Ryan is made for bench
Cute belt Stan lmao

Kennellys arms are stubs. I bet he benches more than he deadlifts
