This is the the best Video covering full ground, I have seen sofar on this topic. My compliments. Thanks
Great to see one of these showing when to do shimming during a fresh install. I've seen a number of videos where they mention shimming in passing, but the videos that actually show how to shim show it being done on a fully installed toilet. I've got one that needs shimming as part of the install process, and now I know exactly when to do it. Thanks!
I've watched a lot of these toilet replace vids in prep to replacing my guest room's commode. This is 1 of my favorite because it is clear and concise!😊
Watching this video 2 weeks after "trial and error" install of my new toilet. The install went well because we followed the instructions to the letter, but this video gives some great insight and understanding to what we did!
Attempting this tomorrow. I hope it is as easy as your video makes it seem!
Bought a house years ago with a wobbly toilet. Never thought to shim. Got the shims on the way as we speak. Thank you for this vid!
Nice! Hope they work out well for you. I've been using the flexible Wobble Wedge brand for years. Saved me on a lot of jobs with uneven floors. Cheers!
Great job. Thanks for showing the process. It will help me a lot when I replace my dad's toilet.
Excellent presentation
Thank you for pointing out that the bolts on the flange should be 12 inches from the wall. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! 🤗
Best toilet bowl video on you tube!
you are now 2/2 for best videos on youtube, thank you so much!
Professional installation!
Excellent video in all regards. I have the same one and will be installing it soon. I noticed if u were to install the bowl without the tank you can see the holes for the screws through the holes that are for the tank. Thanks again. Very helpful!
Outstanding Video that is quite simple but detailed and instructive.
Best video on this topic
Glad I found this video. Helped quite a bit since I havent done it before

Another great video
Awesome! Thx!
Well done sir
Great video
Thank you sir
Great instructional video! One thing I do is set red straws on T-bolts for lining up toilet :-). I'm old, this cuts down on hang time. Take care..
That's a great idea. Thanks for the comment! Cheers!
Good video, thank you and also I appreciate I can clearly hear you since you do NOT have errrrrrr.....music playing in the back ground! Thanks again it was very clear.
Funny enough, I just came home with a brand new toilet. Great timing
Good luck on your install!
Did you seal the bottom of the boil? If so what did you use?
I have rusted bolts from old unit
That's a solid toilet for the price. I have one upstairs.
I agree. It's pretty much my go-to when the client doesn't have a preference.
Can you do a one piece toilet?
Silicone where the toilet meets the floor?
My bathroom floor around the toilett is sinking can you show us how to fix the floor under the toilet
Why the choice of using an extra thick wax ring? The flange was level with the floor.
it's soft wax, it squeezes down to form a thinner wider sticky aggressive watertight seal between the toilet and the tile. That's how they all come. Push the toilet down "firmly" that smashes it down and pushes the toilet to the flooring.
Did you drop the toilet on your shoeless feet?
Isn’t it a LOT easier to install the bowl, THEN attach the tank. That way installing the bowl is lighter and easier,to install.
That works as well. It's just a personal preference to build the toilet before installing. I find it easier than reaching over the installed bowl to tighten the tank. Especially when the toilet is tight against a wall or cabinet. I have all my apprentices build the new toilet completely before removing the old toilet. This makes sure all the parts are there and if they break the toilet in the process of connecting the tank, the client still has a usable toilet installed.
@@PROSDIY Also, some toilets have a third tank screw in the back that can be hard to reach when the bowl is already installed.
