    I've changed the faucet in my kitchen recently. Man, if you do not have the right tools, it is a nightmare. And the drain pipe broke half the way (it was an old jerry rigged one with duct tape), got to run to the store while standing in knee deep water :D Such fun times. But it made it extremely satisfied when everything was done.

  • @TRX450RVlogger
    @TRX450RVlogger 5 лет назад +1

    First thing I usually do when bolting the toilet to the floor is I usually will add a small rubber washer between the nut and the plastic cap retainer that way I can tighten the toilet down till I see that nitril or rubber washer start to squeeze out and I stop tightening at that point. Next is for the Toilet Supply Line I always leave the tag on so that way in the future it's easier to know exact what supply line you may need and makes it easier for the next plumber if it's not you later down the road. Fun video though!

    Hey man, you’re videos help me a lot. Just want to throw a pointer your direction. I didn’t read all comments so this may have been mentioned. The shark bite valves are made to press on. Little teeth inside grab the pipe and hold it in place. Clean the pipe prior to pushing it on; otherwise debris on the pipe can interfere with proper teeth grip if you will. Also the decorative flange, is actually the tool you can use to remove the shark bite valve if ever needed. You put it on backward, if that valve was ever pressed into the wall that flange could loosen the valve and cause a leak. It’s suppose to cover that yellow ring. Just a heads up is all. Awesome videos!

    Thanks again for another great video. I live in a renovated warehouse where there are four units. When I replaced my toilet recently, I used the waxless ring to attach it. Now, whenever anyone in the complex flushes the toilet I hear it pretty loudly in my bathroom. Is this because of the lack of wax ring or is there any other way to avoid having to hear every other toilet in the complex flush in my bathroom?

    I just moved into a house in Mexico and a few contractors have told me I need to put down concrete/plaster instead of the wax seal. I have changed a toilet before, but never heard of laying concrete down instead of a wax seal. One said, it was because little critters can come up through the plumbing and eat through the wax seal and provides a better seal. My question is, Is it absolutely required to use concrete? or have you heard of this before? it's so much faster and easier to just use the wax seal just like you did in this video. Also I just subscribed and love your videos! Thank you!

      Sure a level is a nice touch. but first you must make it seal tight. A basement floor is not always level and as such sometime the toilet may be 1 degree off but I would rather have a tight seal.
