This movie came out a few months after Titanic, when it still the rage. Leonardo was still the biggest star ATM. This never the credit it deserves. I really liked this movie
This scene also goes that D'Artagnan choose the wrong side Aramis is the one who reveals that Phillip is Louis twin brother meaning he knew the whole time so if D'Artagnan choose to join his old friends Athose Porthis and Aramis on on their plane to over throw Louis he would have found out much sooner that he had twins sons instead of one so go figure this whole thing would have been avoided if Aramish and D'Artagnan and Queen Anna had just work on their communication.
Aramish help lock poor Philip up so he knew this the whole time Queen Anna second son was alive and he never said anything to her or D'Artagnan or anyone elsa not even Athose and Porthos Aramish really needs to talk to people more.
D'Artagnan knowing Louis is his son while watching him be an absolute monster as King, must have been so brutal to watch not only as his ward to protect but his own son.
Two people, one lives a life of luxury, and the other is in an ancient prison. Even after just one week, their looks can change a lot, not to mention after 6 years.
Anne tells D'Artagnan that it was too painful or something along those lines. Also as Aramis says the King feared the Kingdom would be torn apart by the twins having a feud so he had them separated.
@@wickedwitchoftheeast88 that doesn't mean not talking about it would make it better because if she told D'Artagnan or anyone else Loise was a twin things would have turn out differently and maybe for the better D'Artagnan would have launch a investigation into Philip Disapearance and surely would have found him in luck up in prison and obviously freed him and brought him back home Louis would have been removed from office much sooner before he got innocent people killed like Athose son Rhaul and the Kingdome would have been roled Properly and everyone who Lois foolishly got killed like Athose son Rhaul would still be alive can't she see how many people her secrets have hurt and murdered 💔 And as for Louis and Philip father he should have found another way like maybe have either Louis or Philip marry into another kingdom they were allied with so one brother may role his kingdom and the other brother could role the other kingdom because separating them did not help anyone in France nor themselves.

I agree with you it was very wrong but the sad fact is these things do happen in real life, families get torn apart by secrets and lies, hindsight is a wonderful thing. But in this era Queen Anne was powerless back then women didn't get a say in anything what their husband said went including with the kids. Had Anne revealed the truth the King would have executed her and D'Artagnan for treason and probably killed the twins too. Anne didn't even know Phillipe had survived she was told he died soon after being born the King only revealed the truth on his deathbed and Anne wanted to restore Phillipe to the family but Louis who was now King decided otherwise and Anne again was powerless because her son was now King he outranked her and his word was law. A very sad situation overall as she clearly loved both of her sons dearly despite one being narcissist. Life is complicated and people make decisions and only realise the consequences years down the line and that makes telling the truth even more difficult especially to the person you lied to because the anger when the truth is revealed is massive and very hard to wrap your head around.
So the queen had kids with dartangan but the king thought they were his kids? If they are dartangan kids then they aren't royalty so they can't be king.
