can you download you tube?
Could you please help me buy a tablet for my 5 year old son . I just want one that I can download ABC learning app on it
Thanks for this video, I made up my mind and I ordered a Pikachu plushie.
WINNING :D
That's what I'm saying.
Very informative, thanks for comparisons. Really hard to decide on kids tablets these days. Just so many around. I did note this vid was done in 2020 so even now Im sure there are still more around. And I still cant decide. lol.
Would still recommend it! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Hi. Are you able to download cartoons on the following platforms - Netflix and iPlayer ? This device will be used to substitute the use of our iPad or iPhone....
If it's available via the apps, I can't see why not?
Hi there. So if I get the normal 8 hd I can just go to the app which brings up the exact same interface as the kids version ?
From my understanding, yes
Any difference between the Fire 7 Kids Pro tablet and the Fire 8 Kids Pro? Other than the obvious size I could find that it has the past gen usb port, 1gb less ram, and about half the expandable storage. Would the Fire 7 still be relevant enough to be worth the $30 savings?
Best checking the specs and comparing, haven't tried the other.
Thanks so much for the review. Would you say there is much difference (apart from size) between kids 10" and 8 "? Like speed, etc? Thank you in adance
Not tried the new 10" one; but if they share the same hardware, there shouldn't be any difference! Glad you liked my review!
@@TotallydubbedHD Do i still get free netflix and so,if i get the normal one
And can i have more accounts on the normal one??
@@saraismani2673 best asking Amazon; I'm not sales support, sorry
So I could just buy the regular version with more memory and put into kids mod so it would be the same as the kids version I already have an account so would only need to buy a case is that right? Thanks
From my understanding, yes
Thanks for giving us information of Fire HD 8 and 10
Pleasure
Does the Fire 8 kids have chromecast capabilities since its android based?
Not sure, but it should do
Is it same tablet when you remove it from case?
Also wondering this, besides the built in kids features it seems like it’s exactly the same
Could you add a mouse to the kids tablet (with the right port) , would it work?
Not sure how that'd work!
Hey thanks for sharing this vedio, great content.
please reply me....
I want to order fire 8 kids from amazon, well I am from Bangladesh amazon will ship it here. but i want to know is there anything like that i am not going to get all the feature if i use it from Bangladesh.
Not really sure, I can't why there will be anything that wouldn't work..nothing is region-locked as far as I'm aware :)
Thank you for this excellent review. Can I ask for your adivce ? I want to buy a tablet to share with my daughter. I would prefer one which looks less "attractive " to her to avoid her spending too much time on screen. I just need youtube kids, bbc and amazon prime for her and kindle and audible books for me. She is still 2 years old and I only use tablet to travel. Do you think the Fire 8 adult version would suits both of us? Thanks
Pleasure, glad you liked the review!
Ha, that's a funny question - to be honest, it would but I suspect the outer case might serve really handy for your 2-year old versus not having it at all - in case it drops!
@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for getting back to me. Ihat was precisely going to be my second question: will the kids case fit into the adult tablet? I am wondering if they would be exactly the same size. Because if it is, I just to buy a kids case. And one very last minute question: would fire 8 work outside England? I live between Portugal, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Thanks a lot!
@@romaradelmonte910 indeed they should be interchangeable - they have the same form factor!
Effectively kids case + tablet = kids + pre-installed software to make it kid-friendly. Tablet on its own = adult, with option to add kid lock etc
No idea about where it'll work, best asking Amazon that question!
RUclips kids is actually the worst thing, full of complete nonsense videos. Its actually a disgrace
Great review!
Thank you!
I can't find the "fire for kids" app
Can you watch RUclips on the kids edition?
Think so, but can't remember. Sorry.
There is a video on RUclips explaining how to get RUclips, Netflix, etc. on the kids edition. It really works well.
one more question that pubg lite can run smooth on this tablet??
Didn't try it unfortunately, but suspect it'll be a struggle
thank
Can you put a kids case on the adult fire Hd tablet
So I bought my daughter the Amazon HD fire 8 kids addition in 2019 well they discontinued hers and you know they came out with the 2021 kids version and I warranted hers out and so they sent me I believe the brand new one but it’s the adult version not the kids Hd fire which is fine I just need to know if a kids case can go onto the adult HD fire 8
Think it can, yes
totallydubbedHD thank you 🙏
@@caitlin2450 np!
How about the 7 2019 vs 7 kids?
Not sure, sorry!
if we want to make fire hd 8 kids edition as a regular tablet and want to delete profile of unlimited so that it is possible?
Indeed all should be possible! The first part is easy through the tablet, the second would have to be done via your account settings
thankyou for reply.. one more question that pubg lite can run smooth on this tablet
You can change profiles on the kids edition to go to your (adult) profile
Anyone know if/ how I can put RUclips, Google search and kids school apps on the kids version? I've got this for my sons birthday in 3 days and can't work out how to do this, and it's exactly what I bought it for!!
Good question, I'm not sure. Check online?
@@TotallydubbedHD Well that was my first port of call but can't seem to find a clear answer!
@@Field-Meerkat ah sorry, not sure! Maybe check with Amazon support?
@@TotallydubbedHD good idea! Thanks 👍
@@Field-Meerkat pleasure!
1tb of external storage but all your gaming apps will not, again WILL NOT install on to that storage. Neither will any info for those games. Basically all external storage does these days are store your photos, and your videos. Such a shame. Treat this like a phone. Choose the one with more internal and whatever external, than less internal, and way more external, if you are looking to store/install apps.
Mine HD 8 2020 has 32 gb
please try pubg lite on amazon fire hd 8 kids edition
please try pubg lite in fire hd 8 kids edition
My mother just ordered my two year old brother this exact tablet because the five year old wouldn’t share. He loves it. My mom actually expected a better camera but decided: he’s not going to care for the camera.
Ha, amazing!
@@TotallydubbedHD I actually liked it myself and bought myself a Fire HD 10. You should do a review on that and the HD 10 Kids. BTW now she has her TV back so she doesn’t have to listen to Team Umizoomi, Baby shark and paw patrol every morning
@@joeybonavita2739 oh amazing, hope you're enjoying it!
@@TotallydubbedHDand 11 months later he is 3 years old and his Fire HD 8 Kids edition is STILL holding up!!!! Great Tablet so we decided to purchase Kids Plus/Freetime again(you get one year free and then you have to pay money!)
Oh and by the way for parents who have this kids tablet….he loves the Brio World App, Disney Junior/Play House Disney APP-isodes, Bob the Builder Dino Build movie and Thomas Minis….
@@joeybonavita2739 thanks for coming back to share! Really glad to hear it :)

Just Electronic waste…
Don’t buy trash like this, it’s allready outdated when it was released…
If you just need a device for video streaming it’s ok for 1 or 2 years but that’s allready all cause its the only usecase which is it designed for, consume videos and streams for maximum 3 years not more but at least and luckily not less too…
But for a good user experience you need at least something with the performance of the fire hd 10 plus, everything under that power (like galaxy a8, realme pad and stuff like this) is just a waste of money and recourses which will never hold up longer as 2 years and for that they are just highly overpriced…
If it really must be Android you have only 3 devices with a nearly good price-performance 1. Amazon Fire HD 10 plus (but please not for more then 150€/$), 2. the Lenovo p11 plus (easy to get for 230€/$) and the last one is the Xiaomi Pad 5 for less then 400€/$…
Really everything else in the android market is just highly overpriced for that what you get so that after this 3 devices only iPads are left with good prices for that what you get…
And sure, in the noname market you can get the same hardware for less but cause of that that this devices mostly will never see any kind of updates it’s in reality even more worse…
