Watch looks very good. I recently bought a Hamilton intramatic chrono and I love it! I think more options for non quartz chronos under $2k is good for the market
I salute your audacity for not wanting the watch even after being able to review it on youtube for all watch enthusiasts. Thanks for being so real. Also pretty cool twist words in between lol.
Great review, as always. I have zero interest in this watch (like you, I don't need the chronograph function), but I still had to watch the video for your great presentation and humor. Keep up the excellent content!
Great review I wouldn't purchase a chronograph for the same reason as you, I would never use the functions. Although many of the dials out there are good looking and iconic. What I'm happiest to hear is that Baltic is starting to use Sellita movements, head and shoulders above the Miyotas used in the bulk of their offerings.
Very cool, but I couldn't see this replacing my Speedy Pro in rotation. Great choice for somebody that wants a mechanical chronograph without the thickness of a 775X based watch, which seems to be the only other chronograph choice sub $2000 other than a Seagull movement
It speaks to your ability as a reviewer (or rabblerouser ;D) that you were able to make these watches interesting. I'm sorry its Monday, I'm sure they'll find their place in many-a-collector's hearts.
This channel is dangerously taking over, i have said this before, nice watch, however at that price point, baltic better realize that they are up there with Hamilton,Tissot etc which are big boy brands, the omologato would go head to head with this aesthetically, the omologato would win, hands down!
I’m your audience Evan.❤️ But I’m not the audience for this watch. Not because it’s not nice, it’s nice. But I have one really nice chrono and it’s all I really feel like I want (not need, I don’t even need one lol) Like a Tiger, love your attire.
I cant decide between this and the Hamilton intramatic mechanical. On one hand, in my opinion the Hamiltons face has a cleaner look (probably due to it being a bicompax instead of tri) and the tachymeter being the same color as the dial is such a nice look, but on the other; the Baltics case design looks much better. The brushed steel and the angle of the lugs and how they meet the case looks phenomenal while to me, the Hamiltons polished plainish looking case viewed from the side looks cheap to me sometimes.
I passed up the Intramatic for the reasons you both stated. I am glad I waited and the Khaki Aviation Pioneer came out. I fell in love an bought it immediately. Super comfortable and legible. Check it out.
I spontaneously ordered a Panda on the bracelet and the strap. This is my first chrono with a Swiss movement to try out 😊. I have owned several other brands in the past so this will be interesting! How would you compare the quality compared to similar watches in the same price category from Oris, Tudor etc 👍 ?
For the price and the quality. It’s amazing. I have the limited edition Peter auto. Great mechanism and amazing attention to detail. A mix of Universal Geneva/Rolex Cosmo/Speedy/Tag Carrera.
@@YoureTerrific For sure, but I would say it’s because of the branding. The Selica is worth 1000 USD just for the mechanism. I would think the same for Oris and Tudor’s in-house mechanisms. So I would then look at the rest of the watch. For which I think Baltic have outdone themselves in terms of the dial, the bezel and the bracelet. Oris are fascinating as the cost for them to have their own movements are expensive and I like their cases. For Tudor it’s pretty easy being the little brother to Rolex.
In the world of nerdy watch stuff, I mostly shrug my shoulders, but Universal Geneve happens to be my favorite brand, and it's sad to see Baltic trading on UG's heritage without actually taking the time to understand what it is they're paying tribute to. These are not tri-compax watches; these are uni-compax watches - which means one complication.
Yes, we do know the heritage of UG and did ask ourselves the question already in 2016. But in 2017 I already did the choice to use Bicompax to refers to two registers on the dial, here it's just the continuity with the tricompax. Etymologically compax is a circle, and bi/tri two or three. So etymologically it's not incorrect and this is our choice since.
I think they do look good but however lack their own personality. I see 👀 more of vintage Rolex, Heuer and Universal Geneve but nothing says Baltic. I still need to pick up the Aquascape duel crown in black pvd from Baltic
I don't care of these watches. I came here for the dad jokes. After watching your collection of videos, I consider your style a sophisticated brodinkee with a splash of snobbery of hodinkee, and camera work inspired from watch finder with its own pop of fun color. Love your videos.
Your mention of the Kama Sutra reminded me that studies of dopamine production in the brain have concluded that, in terms of pleasure, an orgasm equates to roughly two cheeseburgers. That's all I have to say.
I don't know. It looks nice, but 50m of WR and 39mm is a deal breaker for me. For this price, there are better options on the market. Nice video though!
These chronograph are actually tested for 100m and passed the test, but as far as its a chronograph we guarantee them only 5ATM. (The use of pushers can be dangerous under water)
totally not trying to be combative but what are the better options for the price? If you are looking for a mechanical/automatic chrono with three registers im not familiar with anything in this price range that is better. the Nivada Grenchen chronomaster and some Farer watches are somewhat similar but otherwise to get a better or equal movement you would need to go vintage and that has its own host of problems.
Great video, but with all due respect, I will worry about how much money a company put into manufacturing something. I’m not very fond of being ripped off
It is actually a continuation of what we have done in 2018 with the panda and reverse panda. Same dial with a third register and an external tachymeter scale. Its using our new font all over, and the case is exactly the same proportion/shape. Its very much like Baltic and a continuation of our Bicompax. ;)
@@BALTICWatches glad to see you guys watch the reviews and take the effort to reply to comments. This watch is a great value proposition, but all your previous watches had more originality, not trying to say you've not put a lot of effort into this, for what its worth i thing the bezel is bezel is beautiful. That being said you're not going to convince me that this is more inspired by the Baltic bicompax than the Rolex daytona
@@anandanil8158 Well, I do get your point. We've tried our take on a 70's chronograph Panda. Its always too easy to say its a Daytona hommage when you put together panda/reverse + external tachy. In the 70's they were already similar, and there was not only Daytonas... but UG, Breitling, Omega, and many others. Today major brands have their own panda as well (Seiko, Tudor etc...) with the same kind of receipts. Here we kept developing our chronograph to get three register, a thin case and an ideal legibility with an external tachy + the internal 0-60 rules. So yes it might be close to all sort of Panda from 70's, with our typical modern takes. As well as we have done with the MR01 with the Calatravesque design, the HMS/BICOMPAX with the typical forgotten step cases, and our 70's diver take with the Aquascaphe. But all of them have modern design tweaks and we do work to make them all in coherency. I see this watch as original as we done on all of them before. In my opinion, but i'm still a bit biased. :) Have a great day ! Etienne.
I think its hard for me to see criticism of a watch that to me did everything right in its interpretation of a 70s panda/reverse panda chrono. Theres not one thing on these watches that I dont like and thats rarely the case. Baltic has always done clean, tasteful designs and the underlying case/lugs/ design ethos has been consistent. Of course I am biased, i preordered a reverse panda. Either way, love to see these on the channel. Awesome reviewer + awesome brand that I have been a fan of since its inception
I would said that Farer Chrono-Classic offers much better value and uniqueness to collection. Having manual wound movement without exhibition case-back is a crime.
DON'T buy any baltic watches, they are garbage. I ordered their mr01 for 605 euros, paid in full, in advance. I received the watch 7 months later. It ran 9 MINUTES per hour fast. I did not mis-type the last sentence. 9 MINUTES per hour fast, not 9 seconds. And the bor bracelet was very cheap, I have $100 watches with vastly superior bracelets. And they will not provide a return shipping label to return their garbage product. Live & learn. RUN from the GARBAGE company !
That tiger sweater shot at the end really shows the full package. 👍
“Complete Package”, please

The Universal Genève Tricompax was named so due to the number of complications; Chronograph, calendar (triple) and moon phase.
This one has.. one?
Great video and watches look awesome. But I'm with you. I will enjoy these from a far. 😊
Great video. Would love to see this model in the metal for myself and see if it scratches an itch....
amazing watch. Im either going to treat myself to this or to a vintage heuer!
I like this.

Best watch channel on RUclips. Fight me
I’ll fight you.
I like this watch for all the reasons stated in the first 1:30 of this video. I might buy one.
Nice watch would be tempted on the reverse panda.
The white has some visual challenges !!
Great review! How do I find local watch meetups in Portland?

Hey, great video! Do you mind also doing a review on WMT's Montana Racer (Black Dial)? Thanks!
Great music!
Baltic is killing it lately
I like their older releases a lot more than recent ones
Pretty much everything with this watch works for me, except the shipment date 😢
Another great review! I really wanted to pick up the Baltic MR01 but they are no longer available. 😞

Is the bezel too large? I can’t tell without having hands on.
I like the panda in particular, but I agree it's too reminiscent to the chronographs of yesteryear, and falls into the homage category.

I think a rotating 60 minute bezel would have been more useful and would separate it design wise from the Daytona.
Muy bonitos pero excesivamente caros

They've had some cool original releases but mostly Baltic just feels like another homage brand. Kinda meh.
Pretty sure black on white and white on black is a popular porn term.

Handling these in the metal at the nyc watch show, the models feel stiff and finicky, they feel like expensive chinese watches.
