Wow..you too huh? lol. Like a big plate of warm pancakes covered in syrup and butter with a big spoonful of whip cream on top. Holy shit that was some good stuff Ivan. I mean, I can't say enough. Outstanding job man.
I just received this exact combo and I thought there would be a drastic difference going from bridge to mid to neck. There is none. Loving the sounds!!
Holy crap!! I just came to listen the pickups... but I stayed! The first and last songs are awesome, well played and perfect sound. I need to bookmark this video to study and practice it... great job!
Just sold me some pick ups!! Wow I am like some of the others when you started playing your crunch tones I forgot all about what I came for, out standing smooth and passionate playing sir Seymour Duncan could not have done better choosing you to demo these pick ups your playing style and these pick up are a perfect marriage. Amazing tone to complement your Amazing playing. Thank you sir I enjoyed your demo very much. Jam on sir jam on! 😎🎸👍❤️🤟
I just recently put 2 SSL6 flats to go with my Hot Rail in Bridge. The RW/RP in the middle of course. I am in love. For what I want and enjoy hearing. These pickups are the only ones for me when it comes to my Strat🙂 Im a happy dude. Superb playing friend👍👌
what a wonderful playing!!!!! dude, I have a fender strat with fat 50's pickups, I changed the pick up to Seymour Duncan cool rails for net vintage rails middle and hot rails for bridge , but now I'm regret for that!!!
This is really interesting. The SSL6 I put into my player 60s body in the BRIDGE is MAGIC with the CS69's mid and neck. It sounds COMPLELTLEY different than this. Much clearer. Hmm. Idk.
So these are like humbuckers in a single coil shape right ? So they are noiseless ? I am thinking about adding these to the middle and neck on my Jackson SDX Strat. These or the Seymour Duncan Hot Rails and Mini JB, I am playing a lot of Iron Maiden on my Jackson "Strat" and I have a Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup in the bridge.
Saludos.-
saby8765 well this is the SSL-1/SSL-5 combo but with flatter pole pieces. The SSL-1 (staggered) = SSL-2 (flat). The SSL-5 (staggered) = SSL-6 (Flat). If your neck radius is the traditional 7.25 then you definitely want to get staggered pole pieces. If you have a 9.5 which is more common today then you can choose either of the two, just keep in mind that staggered pole pieces might cause the G string to have an increase in volume over the other strings due to the proximity of the pole piece. Anything over 9.5 you would definitely want the flatter pole pieces. I play a 12” radius Strat and have been looking into this exact set.
And why aren’t you famous?! Wow! I’d buy your music. I rather listen to you than a guitar athlete like Michael Angelo Batio. There’s a difference between a musician and a shredder. Wow! You got yourself a new fan. Oh, and you did your job. I want the pickups.
Is that a 21 fret C neck? Squire or Mexican build? I enjoyed this better than the JB and little 59 combo as these pick ups really allow the Fender tone come out. To me if you go too high out put, usually tone gets sacrificed. Lots of soulful flavors and I did like what little delay you used. I have a Squire Strat 21 fret kind of like 1954 build, think this will be my set. Thanks for the demo, really enjoying your playing.
I love the combination of the SSL6 and the SSL2 for a more vintage tone. Almost can't believe that is a Laney! What do you think about the LX65R? Will it work with my Tonelab ST?
I seriously forgot I was watching a pickup demo. This is a crazy good bit of playing. Also dig the pickups
Came to hear the pickups, stayed for the playing
thank you

Well said Dean....
Agree, pickups sound amazing but next level playing
Excellent pickup demonstration. Maybe the best I've heard. Very nice playing.
Love demos where people use actual tube amps! Well done sir well done! Thank you
wait a minute :D is that Laney solid state??? Wow! Nice!

Dropped this very set in my 2009 Am. Deluxe Strat with V neck instead of the noiseless pups that were in there. Nice sonic upgrade.
Incredible playing!!

This is what a pickup demo should look like, great playing too...
takes full control of your vibrato. it may become killer ^^ your playing is absolutely rich and beautiful.
Saw another video about pickups but only watched this one for the playing :)
Very well done, very useful. 👍🏼
Man...this is beautiful. Brought me to tears (joy). First part reminds me of Palhaço from Bob Bonastre...
Great Demo and Play. Planning to put this combo into a Warmoth Partscaster and you confirmed it for me.
From 2.43 couldnt believe it was a strat !

Amazing
Chimey, bell like tone but with full body, I wonder if this can be paired up with SSL-1/SSL5 combo?

Great tone, nice playing! How would you compare them with the Fender Texas Special? (if you have tried them). Thanks!

Agree James to much kills the straty goodness ....that folks pay billions for to have a 57 ...interesting huh
Mantap bang ipang!! NgeSoul :)
Clean tone is so warm. Did you add any chorus on it?
Sorry for the late respond.. i didn't use any chorus on it.. the clean tone coming from the pick up itself
Redius of neck 9.5?
I love the combination of the SSL6 and the SSL2 for a more vintage tone.
Almost can't believe that is a Laney! What do you think about the LX65R? Will it work with my Tonelab ST?
