    Bilge pump 2 - Lizzie 0. The boats still afloat and you arrived with the same amount of people you left with. That's a win and some new things learned in my book.

    Wee tip for Internet. Put phone in waterproof bag. Hoist to top of mast and connect ipad via WiFi. Tbh it's Pete Goss's idea. Love watching - keep it up

    Hi Alex and Lizzy. As a suggestion. Put 3/4 inflated dinghy Buoyancy bagels in each side hull.

    Hey Alex. At some point in time could you video the installation of the bilge pump installation. I plan on installing them as well. Awesome video boat seemed to handle some nice sized waves very well. Thanks

    A friend had one of the earlier Telstra’s which he sailed to Norway in fairly robust weather. A lot of water leaked into the amas which he put down to the questionable building quality- particularly the hull to deck joint

    Lovely location, Lizzie looked like the lady of the lake a first. Bit hairy later on though but well done.
    I have a spare bilge pump loose on a long cable and hose on, so I can clip it to the battery and put it anywhere in the boat.
    Luckily not needed it yet

    I think it was a situation that you handled well. No panicking and flapping about, bailed out and fixed. But yes dual pumps in each ama. 👍👍

    Would it be worth partially filling the ama with closed cell foam for some bouyancy even if it does fill with water?

      @@TheAegisClaw might be a good idea to do that. Buoyancy bags might be easier for maintenance when it comes to it.

      Yeah the problem with closed cell foam is that it will eventually soak up some water. I think buoyancy bags would be a good solution.

    Was the water just in the storage compartment or in the whole ama?
    Thinking you have solved the issue by fitting a pump doesn’t do it for me. You need to address the issue. Surely there is a waterproof hatch that actually works.

      @@markthomasson5077 yeah ideally that would be the solution and it has had recent new hatches but this model is known for this problem. Just trying to find the best option to get it sealed up. It also took 7hours or so to get full enough so it’s not a fast leak.
