After all the work you put into restoring her, creating a unique launching system, Mingulay must be the best working example of a Telstar 28 this side of the Atlantic! Come on Alex, you know you love that sail-boat lol! And why wouldn't you, she has given so much enjoyment to yourself and many of your friends. Hi Alex. I have been watching your videos for awhile mostly because I am interested in getting a trimaran. I like the idea of being able to trailer my boat and have enough room on it to do some overnight trips as well. Of course, trimarans are a lot of fun to sail too. I found one like yours for sale near me, but this time of the year is not good to really check the boat out thoroughly. I have taken a look at it, but waiting for it to get a little warmer to get it out and see how it handles. it is 2008 Telstar 28 - $49,000. I am in Southern New England in the U.S. Anything in particular I should be watching out for? Thanks, I really enjoy your RUclips, Earl

Hi, When was this?

I used to sail when spinnakers had poles but they all seem to be attached to the bowsprit these days! What type of spinnaker was that?

Sounds like you just missed beating the predicted arrival time. Was the app that smart it was able to predict the winds would be bad, or did it just get lucky? Seems like if you had just an hour more of spinnaker you would have beaten the prediction.

On my bucket list to sail across the channel! Just need a bigger boat first 😅

Hi Alex, do you carry a liferaft? If not, it may be worth considering how quickly you can inflate and get in the dinghy, particularly with going across the Channel. Before I could afford, or cared about(!) a liferaft we always used to keep the dinghy half inflated on deck. This being on the basis that we might get the other half pumped up pretty quickly and, if not, at least we had half to hang on to if the boat sunk in a hurry! Certainly best not to tow it, as it flips over, or carry it fully inflated on deck as it always tries to escape in heavy weather.
