  • Please note that there is a difference between the written pattern and the video on Round 16. The difference is the number of stitches worked in the corner.
    In the video I make (2hdc, ch2, 2hdc). In the written pattern it is (1hdc, ch2, 1hdc). My apologies.

    Well filmed, well narrated. The hardest thing in crochet is knowing how to recognise stitches and place hook in the right one. You show that so clearly. Also how to end and start each round. I've learnt a lot, thank you

    Making this square was so easy after following your explicit instructions. My first one came out PERFECT, and I was so amazed and pleased with my creation. Your are so easy to understand and follow. Please keep showing us tutorials with these concise videos and you got me forever. You made something I would not normally tackle seem possible. Thanks again.

    OMG😳SHHH! This is so intricate (and beautiful) WHO THINKS up these designs!?!? I'm going to give it a try lol. I used to crochet tightly like this, but then I saw so many people were working with more loose stitches. This is going to be a challenge. I notice how you're struggling getting some stitches in their rightful place. I better take my arthritic meds before I begin this project! 😆 May I ask what size hook you're using? You may have said it in the beginning but I got involved with the tutorial and can't remember. Thank you ☺️ Beautiful work!!💞

    This is absolutely stunning. I have almost finished this square but have a question about row 16. The pattern says there should be 40 hdc per side however I have 42 (2 hdc in the corners and 38 in between). So a total of 168 and 4 chain 2. Is this correct? Thank you!!!

  • @inggroen
    @inggroen 7 лет назад +2

    Should we follow the written or the video pattern for round 16? Thanks your your reply!

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  7 лет назад +3

      If you are doing Nuts about Squares and you Follow only the videos then you have no issue. Then you will have 44 stitches at the end of round 17.

    Thank you so much for your video's they really help me to decipher when I get stuck reading a pattern. I have a question. Since you made the corner different in Round 16 should we do it as written in the pattern? Did it make a difference?

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  7 лет назад

      There are a few (incorrect) versions of the pattern in circulation due to different versions being available on the designer's blog and ravelry page. The way I do the corner is the way the designer intended.
      There will be more differences in the next rounds, I suggest you download the latest version from Ravelry :)

    Hello Ester, I am enjoying this design up until row 10 where we have to make those double triple crochet. I am working with 100% cotton from Paintbox. Lovely yarn. I don't know if that is why I am having so much trouble keeping the yarn/stitch length short at the point of the large star - before one continues on with the hdc behind the post. Its so frustrating.
    Do you know any 'tricks' to get this done more neatly? thank you for any help. I know it's hard because you cannot see my crochet work. Thank you.....

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  6 лет назад

      the large star has a dtr2tog if I recall correctly. The loops tend to open up a bit when you work the stitches. It helps to keep your finger on the loops on your hook while working the stitches. Also, in the next rounds the points are wrapped by new stitches, pulling the loops back together so it's not so obvious that there are a few holes. Hope this helps you a bit :)

      You have an old version of the pattern. It has been updated to 2tr. You will find more differences. I suggest downloading the pattern again 😊

    • @lw8893
      @lw8893 7 лет назад

      ok, thanks for the answer this is the pattern I downloaded on friday, so not that old. are there many differences before round 13, will I have to frog the lot?

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  7 лет назад

      what I mean with OLD is that the designer had uploaded an old version of the pattern on her website. On Ravelry there was a newer version. And there was also a difference between the photo tutorial and the written only pattern.
      there were no differences before Round 13. So you are OK :)
