What do people on stage think during the show?
Singer: I am the star, I'm at the front, I give you the vocals, the words, love me, me, me, me!
Guitarist: Just look at that pimp! He thinks he is someone, but really, I give the music, the riffs, the solos, melodies, I am the real star here.
Drummer: D'you see those two? Now I'm gonna make a mistake, and these two won't even know what month of the year this is. See? I told ya! I'm the most important on the stage.
    Bassist: A, A, A, A, C, C, C, C#, D, D, D, ......
(I played bass for a number of years. 😁)

I mean, all their songs have cool instrumental going under vocal melody. They throw in very creative guitar works. In each song kanami's guitar remind you of 'someone' but different guitarist depending on the type of song they play, and the groove of the song. To be honest, Misa's bass reminds me John Frusciante from red hot chilli peppers sometimes.

Something for you and your brother. FYI Kanami has degrees in Economic and Marketing, I think her parents wanted her to have a trade. Pretty good guitarist for a economist, huh?
This from Jan. 2020 Guitar World, it's an article/interview of Kanami (Band-Maid) on her setup. Hope you like it.
She pairs her PRS with a Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier " I use Channel 2 for main distortion and for guitar solos, and then, for section where I want raise the volume I switch to Channel 3. I use the Modern mode for both channels."
For further sound sculpting, she employs Friedman Buxom Boost, a One Control Strawberry Red overdrive and a Fulltone OCD. "My taste in sound has shifted a little bit, so I am thinking of changing how I use my effects and amplifier."

Agree with others that you guys should take check out the live version of Puzzle. Kanami goes non stop in that song. It comes and goes from RUclips for copyright reasons, but I'm sure someone on here will provide you a link to a personal version they have.

Great job!. Nice conversation. For a Jimmy Hendrix vibe you should check "The Dragon Cries". The song remids a little to "1983", with some obscure and deep riffs played very emotionally by Kanami. I think your brother (and you) will enjoy the ride.

Dude I am definitely going to tell my friend that joke. I can already think of so many ways to draw it out and when I hit that punchline he's going to f****** lose his shit.
After our main band broke up we started a kind of post-punk band and he had me on bass. I kept begging for a solo and he just would not cave unless I learned to slap (I ain't no damn bassist 😅) He's going to love it
Your brother seems like a stand-up dude would love to see him on more 👍

Oh by the way- JIMMY PAGE OF (LED ZEPPELIN) loves BAND-MAID, enough
    said....
A certain MR EDDIE VAN HALEN would be impressed with KANAMI'S
    tapping technique.
Originally, Kanami played Addictone guitars but once she was
noticed, she’s been PRS all the way!
Kanami- PRS / Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier + 8 or 9
    different pedals
Miku- Zemaitis Custom / EVH( EDDIE VAN HALEN ) stack + various pedals
MISA- Black Cloud custom 5 string bass / Orange stack
Akane- Drum Kit: Tama Star Bubinga, Snare Drum: Ludwig, Cymbals: Zildjian (left to right)
The music scene in JAPAN is just killing it, so much good stuff coming from the land of the rising sun...SHRED ON

The craziest guitarist out there today is Ironbunny in his futuristic Ironbunny armor. He grew up with Eddie van Halen as an idol and he recreated him as in the year 2323. This is an instrumental or rather instru-mental and the girls who normally sings just dance. Oh, and he plays a 7-string very electric axe: ruclips.net/video/5Qp977RSOXQ/видео.html

This seemed quite a bizarre reaction clip. 14 minutes of which you spend 30 seconds talking about the song quality being good and the rest about peripheral stuff like the bass joke..uhh?..what’s that got to do with the song. Your brother wasn’t watching the clip so how can you comment about the whole context of the song without seeing the great lighting. Playing in near darkness and flashing strobes etc. you just talk about other bands which most watching wouldn’t care less about. This is supposed to be about Band Maid not all this other crap, your brotherly relationship. Comment on the sections, the technicality, the solos. Your guitar skills. Like to see if there anything like Kanami’s. Misa is a great bassist. He says they have songs with vocals as well. WTF? How many bands don’t? Ridiculous. You have listened to many other songs of BM but mention that. This came across that you discount them because of the Maid theme and being Japanese. Asia has some of the great guitar players. Most that you couldn’t emulate. Amazing prodigies in Lias X,Petty Rock,Ayu. Be hard to find better female talent than this in America. They’re world class, playing professionally with multiple sponsorships.
If you’re going to react to more Band Maid,at least make useful comments on their expertise and talent not just talk about yeah that was good then talk another 13 minutes about nothing to do with the song just every other musician.
